Welcome to the platform for Nearby Lawyers. If you are a local user in the Washington D.C. area seeking legal representation, Mehri & Skalet, PLLC is a law firm located at 2000 K St NW, Washington, DC 20006, USA. Situated in a prominent commercial district of the city, the firm likely operates in a professional office environment suitable for client consultations and legal proceedings. While specific details about the firm's interior or unique features are not extensively available online, one can generally expect a standard legal office setting that emphasizes professionalism and client confidentiality.

Based on the limited information provided through online reviews, there appears to be a divergence in client experiences with Mehri & Skalet, PLLC. One reviewer, who reached out regarding a Title VII employment retaliation lawsuit after receiving a favorable EEOC determination, expressed significant dissatisfaction with the firm's decision not to take their case. The reviewer noted the lack of explanation for the declination and the absence of a referral to another attorney, despite the firm's association with "FindJustice.com" and their apparent focus on advocating for workers. This individual strongly advised potential clients seeking committed legal representation to be cautious, suggesting that the firm might decline cases arbitrarily and lack transparency in their decision-making process.

In contrast to this negative experience, another reviewer offered a very positive sentiment, stating that Mehri & Skalet, PLLC is the "Best law firm for justice against the powerful." This succinct endorsement suggests that at least some clients have had highly successful and satisfactory outcomes with the firm, particularly in cases involving significant power imbalances or potentially complex litigation.

Given these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize the typical services and features of Mehri & Skalet, PLLC based solely on this information. The mention of a Title VII employment retaliation lawsuit in one review indicates that the firm handles employment law cases. The positive review suggesting they fight for "justice against the powerful" implies a focus on civil rights, employment discrimination, or similar areas where clients may be facing large corporations or institutions. However, without more comprehensive information, the full scope of their legal services remains unclear.

Features of a law firm often include its areas of specialization, the experience of its attorneys, its approach to client communication, and its track record of success. The limited and conflicting feedback available for Mehri & Skalet, PLLC does not provide a clear picture of these aspects. Potential clients would need to conduct further research or directly contact the firm to ascertain their specific areas of expertise, the backgrounds of their attorneys, and their general approach to client representation.

Promotional information is also scarce in the provided data. Law firms often highlight their successes, their commitment to certain values, or their specific areas of expertise in their promotional materials. The association with "FindJustice.com" might be part of their broader outreach, suggesting a mission-driven approach to legal advocacy, particularly for those facing injustice. However, the negative review raises questions about the practical application of this mission in all cases.

For local users in Washington D.C. considering Mehri & Skalet, PLLC, the firm's location at 2000 K St NW is in a central and accessible part of the city. They can be reached by phone at (202) 822-5100 or +1 202-822-5100 to inquire about their services and to schedule a consultation. Given the mixed feedback, it would be particularly prudent for potential clients to ask detailed questions about the firm's experience with cases similar to their own, their case evaluation process, and their communication practices.

In conclusion, Mehri & Skalet, PLLC is a law firm located in Washington D.C. with a presence at 2000 K St NW. Online reviews present a mixed picture, with one client expressing strong dissatisfaction with the firm's handling of their inquiry and another offering a highly positive endorsement related to seeking justice against powerful entities. This suggests that client experiences may vary. Local users considering this firm for their legal needs should conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the firm, to determine if their services align with their specific requirements and expectations. It is essential to have a clear understanding of the firm's expertise in the relevant area of law and their approach to client representation before making a decision.

I reached out to FindJustice.com (Ellen Eardley & Khalid Mohieldin) regarding my Title VII employment retaliation lawsuit in federal court (EDVA) after receiving a rare EEOC determination in my favor. Despite this, their firm declined to take my case without providing any explanation. While it is understandable that not every firm can take on every case, a firm that claims to "Find Justice" should at least provide transparency and professionalism in their decision-making process. Instead, I received a generic declination letter with no insight or referral to another attorney. If you are a potential client seeking serious employment litigation representation, be aware that this firm may decline your case arbitrarily. A firm that markets itself as an advocate for workers should be more upfront with potential clients rather than dismissing them with a vague, copy-paste response. ⚠ I do NOT recommend this firm if you need committed legal representation. There are far more responsive and transparent employment law firms available.
