Wintter Law Introduce

For individuals in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, seeking legal assistance with estate matters, the "Nearby Lawyers" platform provides a directory of local law firms. Among these is Wintter Law, located at 17 Rose Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, USA. While specific details about the firm's office environment are not available online, law offices typically aim to provide a professional setting for client consultations and legal work. Potential clients can likely expect a space conducive to discussing sensitive legal issues.

Based on the available customer reviews, Wintter Law appears to handle estate-related legal matters, such as settling estates. One positive review mentions their assistance with a father’s estate, specifically highlighting the exceptional communication, compassion, and empathy displayed by someone named Tyra within the team. This suggests that the firm has the capacity to guide families through the often difficult period of estate administration.

However, the majority of the provided reviews present significant negative feedback regarding Wintter Law's services. Multiple reviewers express concerns about overcharging, under-delivering on promises, and overall poor client experience. One reviewer who engaged the firm to settle a relatively small estate reported a final bill that was substantially higher than the initial estimate, escalating from a projected $3,000-$5,000 to over $24,000. This significant discrepancy raises serious questions about the firm's billing practices and transparency.

Another critical point raised by a reviewer is the alleged practice of passing cases between multiple attorneys and paralegals. This reportedly led to duplication of effort, delays in the process, and overall confusion for the client. When the client sought an accounting of the billed time, the response received was that they should be grateful they were not charged even more, which suggests a lack of accountability and potentially questionable billing practices.

Furthermore, one reviewer characterized Mr. Wintter himself as "arrogant, condescending, rude and unprofessional." This individual also alleged that Mr. Wintter exploited their vulnerable position to maximize fees from the deceased’s beneficiaries. This is a serious accusation that potential clients should carefully consider.

The negative reviews collectively paint a picture of a firm where clients felt over-promised, overcharged, and poorly treated during a difficult time. The terms "worst kind of lawyers" and a strong recommendation to "Do not use this firm unless you want to be over charged and talked down to" are stark warnings from past clients. While one positive review offers a contrasting experience, the overwhelming sentiment from the other reviews raises significant concerns about the firm's overall service quality and client relations.

Given the strongly negative feedback regarding billing practices, case management, and professional conduct, local users in Fort Lauderdale considering Wintter Law for their legal needs should exercise extreme caution. The significant disparity between the initial cost estimate and the final bill reported by one client is particularly alarming. The allegations of duplicated work due to multiple case handovers and the unprofessional demeanor attributed to Mr. Wintter are also serious factors to consider.

While the positive review mentioning exceptional communication and compassion from someone named Tyra suggests that there may be competent and empathetic individuals within the firm, the overarching theme of the negative reviews cannot be ignored. The adage "the fish stinks from the head down," as quoted by one reviewer, implies a systemic issue within the firm's management and practices.

Local users seeking legal assistance with estate matters in Fort Lauderdale may want to thoroughly research other options available through the "Nearby Lawyers" platform. It would be prudent to seek firms with consistently positive reviews that highlight transparent billing practices, efficient case management, and professional and respectful client interactions. Obtaining multiple consultations and comparing fee structures and client testimonials from different law firms is highly recommended before making a decision.

The address at 17 Rose Dr in Fort Lauderdale is a residential address, which might be unusual for a law firm and could warrant further inquiry regarding the nature of the office environment and accessibility for clients.

Given the strong negative feedback, it is unlikely that Wintter Law would be offering any promotional information. Potential clients should prioritize thorough due diligence and seek firms with a proven track record of ethical billing and positive client experiences.

In conclusion, while Wintter Law is listed on the "Nearby Lawyers" platform in Fort Lauderdale, the overwhelmingly negative customer reviews regarding overcharging, poor communication, inefficient case handling, and unprofessional conduct, particularly attributed to Mr. Wintter, should serve as a significant warning to potential clients. Local users are strongly advised to proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly explore other legal options in the area to ensure they receive competent, ethical, and fairly priced legal representation for their estate matters.

These are the worst kind of lawyers they over promised, over charged and under delivered. it was an awful experience during a difficult time. I engaged Wintter Law to settle a small estate for my deceased sister. The total assets involved amounted to approximately $100,000.00 of which about $90,000.00 came from the sale of her condominium. I live out of state so my interaction was by phone or email. I was told to expect a $3,000 to $5,000 bill based on the size and simplicity of the estate. it ended up being $24,576.45! The case was passed around to at least 4 different attorneys and paralegals causing duplication, delays and confusion. When I asked for an accounting of the time billed I was told I should be grateful they did not charge more. There are some good people there but as they say, "the fish stinks from the head down". Mr. Wintter was arrogant, condescending, rude and unprofessional. He knew the vulnerability of my position and used it to milk as much money from my nieces and nephew as possible. Do not use this firm unless you want to be over charged and talked down to.

They did a great job assisting me with my father’s estate. I felt that Tyra was exceptional in communication and displaying compassion and empathy—a big thank you to the team for guiding me and my family through a difficult period.

Poor communication and handling. The original attorney left the Firm in the middle of my case and it appeared that there was little knowledge of the details of my case. The Firm's email was hacked without notification. My case was then abandoned with no communication. Multiple requests were ignored for clarification of whether my case had closed, as well as, for a statement.
