I would NOT recommend Wiegand Attorneys & Counseling to handle your serious personal/business matters. They are incompetent and their customer service is awful. I called one day to get an explanation as to what was going on with my late grandmother’s estate case and spoke with Charlotte (the office assistant), and was rudely handled while just asking for clarification with Robert Wiegand a.k.a. Sunny. When Charlotte thought she put me on hold she blatantly said “this woman is getting on my last nerve” and then proceeded to pick up the phone like I was on hold and tell me that “Mr. wiegand would return my call”. When Charlotte returned to the call I let her know I heard what she said, and it was very hurtful and unprofessional with the great loss that I was dealing with. I was not rude or demanding just concerned. When I spoke to Robert Wiegand about the situation, he could care less as to what i experienced with his employee and brushed it off. I did not feel valued or important as a client from Mr. Wiegand and especially by Charolette. Almost 10 months later, and I am now being billed almost $1000 for an error that the office made when depositing and handling their funds internally in January. I now have to take time out of my personal schedule to meet with Robert Wiegand to discuss where these miscellaneous charges are coming from. I sent Charolette an email in January 2023 in regards to my final payment and now ( mid-October 2023) I have a outstanding bill for an error they made. This office has been open and operating long enough to handle business better than I have experienced. Not to mention having to call the office to get information and documents I should have received initially. Save yourself the stress and choose another attorney that will actually care about you and your matter.

My case did not turn out the way that I’d hoped. Sonny was able to reduce the total tax amount owed, however, I still owe an amount that I’ll never be able to personally pay back. Some of the timelines were beyond his control; however, it was a painful process to have dragged out only to conclude that we still owed a very large sum of money. I’m still left having to determine what to do with the money owed, figuring out a payment plan with the IRS, etc., none of these steps are easy for laypeople to navigate through. He did help, but it wasn’t a silver bullet solution to eliminate personal liability for business expenses. It seems as though he could have fought for the unjust conclusion of the IRS (to hold me personally liable for legitimate business expenses regardless of the business’s S-Corp filing status). Outcome is less than favorable. This attorney is now taking me to court over an unpaid balance of $250 and, instead, trying to get me to pay him $4,000. He sent the paper work over the Holidays so that I could spend them getting another attorney hired to defend myself against this charge. I would consider all other options before setting on the Law Firm.
