Truhlar & Truhlar Introduce

Welcome to our platform for Nearby Lawyers. Today, we introduce you to Truhlar & Truhlar, a law firm located at 7340 E Caley Ave #310, Centennial, CO 80111, USA. Based on the available online reviews, client experiences with Truhlar & Truhlar appear to be varied, with one review detailing a significant issue concerning billing practices and communication, while another offers high praise for the firm's professionalism and client-focused approach, particularly mentioning an individual named Christine.

Information regarding the specific environment of Truhlar & Truhlar is not extensively detailed online. However, the fact that they operate from a physical office in Centennial, Colorado, suggests a professional setting where client consultations and legal work are conducted. Without further information, it is difficult to describe the ambiance or specific features of their office space. Potential clients might expect a standard law office environment conducive to confidential discussions and legal proceedings.

Based on the limited review information, it is challenging to definitively state the full range of legal services offered by Truhlar & Truhlar. One review mentions representation in an employment law case involving illegal termination and OSHA reporting, suggesting that the firm handles employment-related legal matters. The positive review, while not specifying a particular area of law, indicates successful case outcomes and a client-centered approach, implying competence in at least one other area of law. To fully understand the scope of their services, including whether they handle personal injury, family law, business law, or other legal matters, it would be necessary to contact the firm directly.

The features of Truhlar & Truhlar, as perceived through the lens of the customer reviews, present a mixed picture:

  • Potential for Client-Focused Service: One reviewer describes the firm as "amazing" and specifically praises Christine as wonderful and professional. This review emphasizes that the firm works based on the client's needs rather than solely focusing on financial gain, suggesting a client-centered approach in some instances.
  • Successful Case Outcome: The positive review also mentions that the firm won the client's case, indicating a capacity for achieving favorable results for their clients.
  • Contradictory Billing Practices Allegation: The negative review details a serious issue involving a fee agreement. The client alleges that an attorney, Madeline Collison, made a false promise about the employer paying her fees if the client won an illegal termination case. While the case was won and an amended fee agreement was supposedly written into the settlement, the client claims that the full original fee was deducted from the settlement, leading to financial detriment for the client, including double taxation on a portion of the settlement.
  • Alleged Dishonesty and Exploitation: The client in the negative review explicitly accuses the attorney of dishonesty and states that the firm exploited their misfortune, preventing healing from the trauma of illegal termination. This is a serious accusation that potential clients should consider.
  • Unjustified Billing: According to the negative review, the alleged over-billing was never justified by the attorney, leading to speculation by the client's family about external pressures on the attorney.

The significant discrepancy between the two reviews makes it difficult to provide a uniformly positive assessment of Truhlar & Truhlar. While one client experienced professionalism and a focus on their needs, another reported a severely negative experience involving alleged dishonesty and financial exploitation. This divergence suggests that client experiences may vary significantly depending on the specific attorney, the nature of the case, or other factors not evident in the limited information provided.

Regarding promotional information, neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific promotions, discounts, or special offers from Truhlar & Truhlar. It is not possible to determine if the firm offers free initial consultations or alternative fee arrangements based on this limited data. Potential clients would need to inquire directly with the firm about their fee structures and any available promotions.

In conclusion, Truhlar & Truhlar is a law firm in Centennial, Colorado, with at least some experience in employment law. One client review praises the firm's professionalism and client-focused approach, highlighting a successful case outcome. However, another review details a deeply concerning experience involving alleged dishonesty, misrepresentation of fee arrangements, and financial exploitation by an attorney at the firm. This stark contrast in client experiences suggests that potential clients should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging Truhlar & Truhlar for their legal needs. It would be prudent to seek additional information, possibly including further reviews or direct consultations with the firm, to form a comprehensive understanding of their practices and client relations. The serious allegations in one of the reviews warrant careful consideration.

For local users in Centennial and the surrounding areas seeking legal representation, Truhlar & Truhlar is a nearby option. However, given the conflicting client experiences detailed in the available reviews, it is strongly recommended that potential clients thoroughly investigate the firm's reputation, discuss fee arrangements in detail and in writing, and seek clarification on all aspects of their representation before committing to their services. While one reviewer had a positive experience, the serious allegations of dishonesty and exploitation in another review cannot be ignored and should prompt careful consideration and further inquiry.

I was illegally fired from my job because I reported my employer's unsafe working conditions to OSHA. I retained Madeline Collison at Truhlar & Truhlar to fight this injustice ONLY because she promised my employer would have to pay her fees if I won, which is false. When she discovered her mistake, she agreed to accept $3000 less than the original amount I agreed to pay her ($6000). She won my case and wrote our amended fee agreement into the settlement. However, when my employer paid the settlement, she deducted $6000. Her dishonesty was especially disappointing because, since my settlement was technically income, I had to pay taxes on $3000 of my settlement twice!!! She never justified her dishonesty; my family speculated that her employers strong-armed her into taking back the money she promised. Being illegally fired was traumatic enough. Truhlar & Truhlar prevented all healing from that trauma by exploiting my misfortune.
