McMichael & Gray PC Introduce

For individuals and businesses in Fayetteville, Georgia, navigating the complexities of real estate transactions requires the expertise of a qualified closing attorney. Within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, McMichael & Gray PC, located at 120 Howard Ln, Fayetteville, GA 30215, USA, is a law firm that appears to offer services in this area. However, the available online reviews present a mixed perspective on their service quality, particularly concerning their closing department.

The limited information regarding the physical environment of McMichael & Gray PC comes indirectly through client experiences. One reviewer mentions interacting with a "closer" named Paige, suggesting a departmental structure within the firm that includes specialized roles in the closing process. Another review indicates a closing table setting where frustrations arose due to errors in documentation. While these snippets don't paint a detailed picture of the office ambiance, they imply a standard professional environment where real estate transactions are finalized.

Based on the available reviews, a primary service offered by McMichael & Gray PC is acting as a closing attorney for real estate transactions. This involves handling the necessary legal documentation and procedures to finalize the sale or purchase of property. However, the client experiences shared online raise significant concerns about the efficiency and accuracy of these services.

One reviewer recounts a negative experience, stating it was the "worst closing I have ever experienced" and deemed the firm's standards as "incredibly subpar and unacceptable for the law profession." This strongly suggests potential issues with their processes and attention to detail in handling real estate closings. The review specifically names Paige Smith, the closer, as being responsible for a critical delay by not providing the ALTA (American Land Title Association) form until the evening before the scheduled closing, despite a request made a week prior. This delay subsequently impacted the wiring of funds, causing inconvenience to the client.

Furthermore, the same negative review highlights a "major error" in the ALTA concerning a tax credit for the client. This inaccuracy reportedly caused frustration and eroded the client's trust in the overall transaction. The situation was further exacerbated when the client had to make an unplanned trip to the bank to obtain a cashier's check due to the corrected amount. This indicates potential issues with the accuracy of financial documentation and communication during the closing process.

The reviewer also mentions confronting a closing attorney, Melissa Jarrell, about these issues. According to the review, Ms. Jarrell expressed frustration with the closer's actions but did not take responsibility for the overall shortcomings. This suggests a lack of accountability at a supervisory level and a potential disconnect within the firm's closing department.

In contrast to the overwhelmingly negative review of the closing process, one brief comment mentions that the "Lawyer himself was a chill guy though," referring to an unspecified attorney at the firm. This isolated remark offers a slightly different perspective on the individuals within the practice but does not negate the serious concerns raised about the closing services.

Given the information available, it is challenging to highlight positive features of McMichael & Gray PC's closing services. The primary feature described in detail is the closing process itself, which, based on one detailed account, appears to suffer from issues related to timeliness, accuracy, and accountability. The delay in providing crucial documents, errors in financial information, and the lack of ownership of these mistakes are significant concerns for potential clients.

The single positive comment about a lawyer being "chill" does not provide substantive information about the firm's legal expertise or service quality. It merely offers a personal observation about one individual's demeanor.

There is no promotional information available for McMichael & Gray PC in the provided data. The client reviews primarily serve as cautionary tales regarding their closing services rather than endorsements.

In conclusion, while McMichael & Gray PC is listed as a "Nearby Lawyer" in Fayetteville, GA, and appears to offer real estate closing services, the online reviews, particularly the detailed negative account, raise serious concerns about the efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism of their closing department. Potential clients in Fayetteville seeking a closing attorney should carefully consider these experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging McMichael & Gray PC. Contacting the firm directly at (678) 783-3191 or +1 678-783-3191 to inquire about their closing processes, quality control measures, and how they address potential errors may be a prudent step. It is essential for individuals involved in real estate transactions to have confidence in their closing attorney's meticulousness and commitment to a smooth and accurate process. The significant issues highlighted in the negative review warrant careful consideration and further investigation by prospective clients.

Do not use this firm. The worst closing I have ever experienced.Their standards are incredibly subpar and unacceptable for the law profession. Paige Smith, the closer, did not send the ALTA until the evening before the closing, thus delaying the wire. We requested the document the week prior. To add insult to injury, the ALTA had a major error concerning a tax credited to my client. This made my client frustrated at the closing table and questioning everything else. Additionally, my clients were further inconvenienced by having to go to the bank to get a cashiers check for the new amount due. When we confronted the closing attorney, Melissa Jarrell, about the host of issue she expressed her frustration with the closer’s actions, but took zero accountability. I would sooner refer a client out than ever be involved with a transaction with them. Absolutely disgraceful.

The entire closing process went extremely well. The woman at the front desk was very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions my client had about the process and the area. The entire team is 5 star!
