  • Not even sure how this man passed the Bar exam. Never followed up. Never returned my calls. Barely spoke with him on the phone. He had my case for almost 2 years and I’d get the exact same response I got the last time. I don’t think he even tried to help my case. It was a Lemon Law case that resulted in an accident and putting myself, as well as my significant other and two children in the hospital for. I had EVERY piece of evidence that the vehicle (which was sold by NISSAN btw) that it was DANGEROUS. It was a salvage title that Nissan “fixed.” The whole gram was bent. EVERY mechanic I brought it to said it was dangerous. Well... turns out... it was! Almost killed me!!! THANKS MICHAEL BREEDEN.... FOR NOTHING!!!! You know who I am! You should be hearing from the Bar Association now that I have Hospital bills from the vehicle that I told you OVER AND OVER AGAIN WAS DANGEROUS! DO NOT USE THIS MAN! HE DOES NOTHING! His office is so unorganized. He trips over everything. I often wondered if he was even drunk or on drugs when I’d see him... WHEN ID SEE HIM! YOU, MICHAEL BREEDEN, almost cost me MY FAMILY FOR YOUR LACK OF WORK AND TERRIBLE WORK ETHIC!!!! RUNNNNN people. Find yourself a good attorney!
  • Never can get in touch with him, won"t ever answer the phone!

For those of us who call Louisiana home, we understand that the legal system can sometimes feel daunting. When faced with legal challenges, the trust and confidence we place in our chosen attorney are invaluable. This overview will present information about Breeden Law Firm, operating under the guidance of attorney Michael Breeden, focusing on their location, the types of services they reportedly offer, and available public sentiment. It's important for any individual seeking legal help to conduct thorough research and ensure a firm aligns with their specific needs and expectations for client care and communication.

Location and Accessibility

Breeden Law Firm is situated in a central and easily accessible location within the bustling city of New Orleans, which can be convenient for clients across the metropolitan area and surrounding parishes. Their office is located at: 830 Union St Suite 300, New Orleans, LA 70112, USA. This address places the firm within the central business district, a key hub for professional services and legal practices in New Orleans. The Union Street location is generally well-known and offers various avenues for access.

Being in downtown New Orleans means the firm's office is well-connected to the city's public transportation network, including bus routes and streetcar lines, which can be beneficial for clients who rely on public transit. For those driving in from areas like Metairie, Kenner, the Westbank, or other parts of Louisiana, the central location provides reasonable proximity to major highways. While parking in downtown New Orleans can sometimes be a consideration, numerous parking garages and lots are typically available in the vicinity, offering options for client convenience. The accessibility of the office aims to simplify the process for clients seeking in-person consultations and meetings.

Services Offered

While a comprehensive list of all services may be best obtained directly from the firm, the provided customer review explicitly mentions a "Lemon Law case that resulted in an accident." This strongly indicates that Breeden Law Firm likely offers legal services in at least the following areas:

  • Lemon Law Cases: Representing consumers who have purchased defective vehicles (known as "lemons") that continue to have significant issues even after multiple repair attempts. These cases often involve complex disputes with vehicle manufacturers and dealerships, aiming to secure compensation, a replacement vehicle, or a refund for the consumer.
  • Personal Injury/Accident Cases: Given the explicit mention of an "accident" that led to hospitalization, it is highly probable that the firm handles personal injury claims. This would typically involve assisting individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of another party, seeking compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related damages. This could include car accidents, truck accidents, or other incidents where a defective product leads to harm.

For prospective clients, it is always crucial to contact Breeden Law Firm directly to discuss their specific legal needs and to confirm that their particular case falls within the firm's current areas of practice and expertise. Understanding the precise services offered and the firm's experience in those areas is a vital step in seeking legal representation.

Features / Highlights

Based on the provided customer reviews, it is important to present both the positive and negative feedback as features that prospective clients might consider. While the general content writing aims to be promotional, factual representation includes all available data. Therefore, the highlights from client experiences are:

  • Client Experience (Negative Feedback): The prominent review highlights significant concerns regarding communication, responsiveness, and perceived effort. Specific points raised include:
    • Lack of follow-up and unreturned calls.
    • Infrequent and brief communication with the attorney.
    • Perceived lack of effort or progress on the case over an extended period ("almost 2 years").
    • Concerns about organization and professional conduct within the office.
This feedback suggests that potential clients should prioritize clear communication expectations and assess the firm's responsiveness during initial inquiries.
  • Focus on Specific Areas (Lemon Law & Accidents): The detailed nature of the negative review indicates that the firm does take on specific types of complex cases, such as "Lemon Law" cases involving vehicle defects that lead to accidents. This specialization, when handled effectively, can be a valuable asset for clients facing these particular issues.

It is important for individuals seeking legal services to be aware of these reported experiences and to use them as part of their due diligence when selecting an attorney. Effective communication, consistent follow-up, and clear progress updates are often key expectations for clients, especially when their cases involve serious personal injury and significant financial implications.

Promotions or Special Offers

Law firms, particularly those handling personal injury and consumer protection cases like Lemon Law claims, frequently operate on a contingency fee basis. This means that clients typically do not pay upfront legal fees. Instead, the attorney's fee is a percentage of the compensation recovered if the case is successful, either through a settlement or a court verdict. This fee structure is a significant benefit for many individuals in Louisiana who may not have the immediate funds to pay for legal services, especially when dealing with the financial strain resulting from an accident or a defective vehicle.

While specific "promotions" in the retail sense are not standard in the legal industry, the contingency fee arrangement itself is a common and important "offer" that makes legal representation accessible. For other types of legal services, fee structures might vary. It is always advisable for prospective clients to contact Breeden Law Firm directly to inquire about their specific fee arrangements for the service required. During an initial consultation, it is crucial to clarify all aspects of fees, expenses, and payment schedules to ensure complete transparency before entering into any agreement.
