Boykin Law Firm PLLC Introduce

For individuals and businesses in Alexandria, Virginia, seeking legal representation, the platform category "Nearby Lawyers" serves as a directory of local legal professionals. Within this category, we present Boykin Law Firm PLLC, located at 2461 Eisenhower Ave 2nd Floor, Alexandria, VA 22314, USA. It's important for local users to have a comprehensive understanding of potential legal service providers, which includes considering both positive and negative feedback to make informed decisions. The available reviews for Boykin Law Firm PLLC offer a mixed perspective on their services, particularly in the area of immigration law.

One client shared a positive experience working with Attorney Carmen Boykin. According to this review, Attorney Boykin was "absolutely great to work with," providing all the necessary instructions, advice, and information. The client specifically appreciated her timely responses to questions, highlighting the importance of clear and accessible communication in legal matters. This positive experience led to a smooth application process and ultimately, the client expressed happiness with the results, attributing their success to Attorney Boykin's help and the referral from family. This testimonial suggests that Attorney Boykin possesses strong client communication skills and the ability to guide clients effectively through legal processes, at least in some instances.

However, another review presents a significantly contrasting experience with Boykin Law Firm PLLC. This client's employer hired the firm for an immigration sponsorship case. The review details a concerning lack of professionalism and significant errors in case management. The client alleges that the attorney assigned to their case repeatedly claimed to have filed the case with the Department of Labor (DOL). After an extended waiting period of 8 to 9 months, the law firm reportedly informed the employer that the case had not been properly submitted and that they had to terminate the attorney working on it. This revelation of mismanagement and inaccurate information is deeply troubling, as it directly impacted the client's immigration process and their employer's willingness to continue sponsorship.

The employer's frustration reportedly escalated to the point where they withdrew the petition altogether and decided not to sponsor the case any further. The client explicitly states that the law firm "just messed up the application" and labels the experience as a "waste of time and money for a horrible service." This negative review raises serious concerns about the firm's organizational processes, case management, and the accuracy of information provided to clients, at least in this particular instance of employment-based immigration.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, local users seeking legal services from Boykin Law Firm PLLC should be aware of the potential for variability in service quality. While one client experienced positive and efficient handling of their case with Attorney Carmen Boykin, another encountered significant issues with case management and communication that ultimately led to a detrimental outcome for their immigration sponsorship. This disparity underscores the importance of conducting thorough due diligence and potentially seeking additional references or consultations before committing to this firm.

For local users in Alexandria searching within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, Boykin Law Firm PLLC is physically located in the area, making it a geographically accessible option. Their address at 2461 Eisenhower Ave 2nd Floor suggests a professional office environment, likely within a commercial building. The availability of both a phone number, (202) 656-1559, and a mobile phone number, +1 202-656-1559, provides multiple ways to contact the firm for inquiries or to schedule a consultation.

Based on the limited information available in these two reviews, it is challenging to definitively outline the full scope of services offered by Boykin Law Firm PLLC. However, the mention of an immigration sponsorship case indicates that the firm does handle immigration law matters. Potential legal services offered by the firm may include:

  • Immigration Law (as indicated by the sponsorship case and the successful application mentioned in the positive review). This could encompass family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, visa applications, and other immigration-related matters.
  • General Legal Advice and Consultation (as Attorney Carmen Boykin provided advice and information to the satisfied client).
  • Application Processing (the positive review highlights a smooth application process).
  • Case Management (the negative review points to significant issues in this area for at least one case).

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Therefore, local users will need to rely on their own research, including potentially contacting the firm directly, to gather information about their expertise in specific areas of law, their fee structure, and their client service approach. The contrasting experiences highlighted in the reviews suggest that it would be prudent for potential clients to ask detailed questions about the firm's processes, particularly in areas relevant to their legal needs, and to seek assurances regarding communication and case management.

In conclusion, Boykin Law Firm PLLC, as a "Nearby Lawyer" in Alexandria, Virginia, presents a complex picture based on the limited available feedback. While Attorney Carmen Boykin is praised for her helpfulness, timely communication, and successful guidance in one immigration application, another client experienced significant unprofessionalism and mismanagement in an immigration sponsorship case, leading to the withdrawal of the petition. Local users considering Boykin Law Firm PLLC for their legal needs should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence to determine if the firm is the right fit for their specific situation. It may be beneficial to seek additional reviews or request detailed information about the firm's processes and client service standards before making a decision.

Very un-professional service experience. My employer hired this firm for my sponsorship for immigration, the attorney assigned to my case kept telling us they had filed the case with DOL, after 8-9 months of waiting the law firm told us the case was still not properly submitted and they had to fire the attorney working on the case. The employer got so frustrated that they withdrew the petition and will not sponsor the case anymore. They just messed up the application. What a waste of time and money for a horrible service.
