This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the firm based on the information available online, specifically including the contrasting customer reviews which offer differing perspectives on the services provided.

Environment and Location:

The Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed is located in a commercial building on Neabsco Common Place in Woodbridge, Virginia. This suggests a professional office environment suitable for legal consultations and the handling of sensitive financial matters. Suite #101 indicates an easily accessible ground-floor location within the building. Clients can expect a standard professional office setting where they can discuss their financial situations privately and confidentially with the legal team.

Services Offered:

Based on the firm's name and the context of the customer reviews, the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed primarily focuses on Bankruptcy Law. The mention of "bankruptcy chapter 13" in one review explicitly confirms that the firm handles Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings. Bankruptcy law encompasses various chapters under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, each designed for different financial situations. While Chapter 13 involves a repayment plan for individuals with regular income, the firm likely also handles Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which involves the liquidation of non-exempt assets to pay off debts. Given the firm's specialization indicated in its name, it is reasonable to assume that they offer comprehensive services related to debt relief through bankruptcy, including consultations, preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions, and representation in bankruptcy proceedings.

One of the reviews mentions a "free consultation," suggesting this is an initial service offered to potential clients to assess their situation and discuss their options. The firm likely provides guidance on whether bankruptcy is the right course of action and, if so, which chapter is most appropriate for the individual's circumstances.

Features and Expertise:

One positive review highlights "amazing service" and a "friendly" staff, with specific mention of Laura who "takes her time with clients and explains things very well." This suggests a client-oriented approach where efforts are made to ensure clients understand the often complex bankruptcy process. The reviewer also notes that the staff made the "entire process so easy to understand," which is a crucial feature for individuals who may be intimidated or overwhelmed by the legal and financial aspects of bankruptcy.

However, a starkly negative review presents a very different perspective. This review alleges "lies, deception, and unprofessionalism," claiming that Mr. Weed made promises during the free consultation that were not fulfilled. The specific allegations include a failure to adequately investigate the client's debt with the IRS before recommending and filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. The reviewer also claims that Mr. Weed dismissed their questions about increasing charges and misrepresented communications from the IRS. These are serious allegations that potential clients should consider.

The contrasting reviews make it difficult to objectively assess the typical features and expertise of the firm. While one client praises the service and staff, another reports significant issues with communication, transparency, and the handling of their case. Potential clients should be aware of these differing experiences and conduct their own due diligence.

Promotional Information and Call to Action:

The positive customer review serves as a strong promotional testimonial, praising the "amazing service" and the friendly, helpful staff, particularly Laura. The recommendation to "look no further" for the right bankruptcy lawyer and the hypothetical "10 stars" rating suggest a high level of satisfaction from at least one client. This review encourages individuals considering bankruptcy to choose the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed.

In contrast, the negative review serves as a cautionary tale, advising potential clients to "call the IRS" directly and avoid this lawyer, citing unethical, unprofessional, and dishonest behavior. This review actively discourages individuals from using the services of the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed.

Given these opposing viewpoints, it is crucial for local users in Woodbridge and the surrounding areas who are considering bankruptcy to approach the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed with caution. While the positive review may highlight positive aspects of the firm's service, the serious allegations in the negative review should not be ignored. Potential clients should utilize the provided contact information, (703) 680-5688, to schedule a consultation but should also come prepared with specific questions about the firm's processes, communication practices, and experience with cases similar to their own. They may also want to seek additional reviews or references to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the firm's reputation.

Customer Reviews and Reputation:

The two customer reviews provided present a highly polarized view of the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed. One review is overwhelmingly positive, praising the service, staff, and ease of the bankruptcy process. The other review is extremely negative, alleging dishonesty, unprofessionalism, and significant errors in handling the case. This stark contrast suggests that client experiences with this law office can vary significantly.

The negative review raises serious concerns about the firm's due diligence, communication practices, and ethical conduct. The allegations of misrepresentation and failure to act in the client's best interest are particularly troubling. While a single negative review does not necessarily reflect the overall quality of service, it warrants careful consideration by potential clients.

Conversely, the positive review indicates that some clients have had very satisfactory experiences with the firm, particularly praising the staff's friendliness and ability to explain complex matters clearly. This suggests that the firm may indeed provide helpful and supportive service to some individuals.

Overall, the reputation of the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed, based on these two reviews alone, is mixed and uncertain. Local users should not rely solely on these limited testimonials but should seek a broader range of feedback and conduct thorough research before making a decision.

Additional Considerations for Local Users:

For residents of Woodbridge, Virginia, facing bankruptcy and considering the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed, it is essential to proceed with caution and due diligence. The positive review suggests a potentially helpful and supportive firm, while the negative review raises serious red flags. Potential clients should consider scheduling a consultation to discuss their specific situation and ask detailed questions about the firm's procedures, fees, and communication practices. It would also be wise to inquire about the attorney's experience with cases similar to theirs and to seek references from other past clients.

Given the allegations in the negative review regarding the failure to adequately investigate the client's debt with the IRS, potential clients with tax-related debt should be particularly diligent in asking about the firm's process for verifying such debts and their communication with relevant agencies. Transparency and clear communication are crucial in legal proceedings, and potential clients should assess the firm's commitment to these aspects during their initial interactions.

In conclusion, the Woodbridge Bankruptcy Law Office of Robert Weed, located in Woodbridge, Virginia, specializes in bankruptcy law and offers services such as free consultations. Customer reviews present a highly contrasting picture, with one client praising the amazing service and friendly staff, while another alleges significant issues including lies, deception, and unprofessionalism. Local users in Woodbridge considering this law office for bankruptcy assistance should carefully weigh these differing opinions and conduct thorough due diligence, including asking detailed questions and potentially seeking additional references, before making a decision about their legal representation. Contacting the office at (703) 680-5688 for a consultation is a recommended first step, but potential clients should approach this with informed caution.

If I could I would give a negative star for all the lies, deception and unprofessionalism. Mr. Weed lures you in with a free consultation. He stated he would contact the IRS in order to know how much money was owed. And he recommended bankruptcy chapter 13. Once I retained him and paid him, he went ahead and filed for it. Unfortunately, he never went and asked for history from the IRS or would not find out how much I owe the IRS since this was a long ago debt. He even knew that it might be over the period that the IRS could go after me, but he still didn't check. The trustee of the bankruptcy kept adding more and more money which meant I would owe another $20,000 plus. Also inside that balance was another $4,000 to Weed. When I asked him why there were more charges and what they were he would dismiss my questions. At this point, I felt uneasy and called the IRS myself. I found out that I did not owe anything so I asked him to dismiss the chapter 13. He then try to use a scare tactic stating that the IRS contacted them, but they did not pick up the phone call. I asked for them to send me any documentation that IRS has sent them. On that document, there was a contact information for an agent assigned to my case. I contacted her and she told me that she has been trying to reach Mr. Weed through phone call and email and he has not replied at all. So here he is lying to me stating that the IRS only contact him once when the truth was, they were contacting him for several weeks now. But at this point you can pretty much tell that all he wanted was to go through the chapter 13 so he can retain more money from me. It did not matter to him that it would add another $20,000 to the debt. It did not matter to him how it would affect my credit score. It was very unethical, unprofessional, and dishonest. Also even though I did not go through the chapter 13, it's still affecting my credit score. Worst idea ever! My recommendation is for you to call the IRS. Do not get a lawyer specially this one.

My experience with Mr. Weed's office exceeded expectations. What was my expectation? I expected the "up sell" and to hear the doom and gloom story of how I HAD to file Chapter 13. Quite the contrary! Mr. Weed provided excellent counsel that allowed me to fit into a Chapter 7. Things were tight but it worked. As you can imagine, dealing with a bankruptcy can be very stressful. However, after my first appointment with Valerie, I left feeling confident that everything was going to be just fine... talk about a true professional. She was absolutely awesome! She knows her stuff and EVERYTHING she told me about the process was on point. I would recommend Mr Weed's law office without reservation. In fact, after my very first appointment, I was finally able to sleep again. I'm truly thankful for their service!

So with mines it was over the span of like a year I was in contact with the offices because I allowed my family to get into my head that bankruptcy was the end of the world. Literally the best decision I've ever made. Val & Robert were insanely organized, professional and helpful. They always responded quickly to all of my questions. During my creditor meeting, I felt bad for the people that weren't represented by the Robert Weed office. So many people had to reschedule because their attorneys were not prepared. NOT ME! It was a breeze! He also gave extremely accurate information. I just discharged just over 2 weeks ago & have already pulled my reports. They are all updated & I got capital one back, just like he said. I would recommend him to every person I met if I could.
