I have many years of experience with Ed Voigt and VAS. I am shocked at the complaint because it bears no resemblance to all my years of experience that I have had. I was amused at a call I got from a gentleman in Montana. He had an idea for a new product and when he did a search, he saw my patent that Ed had prepared. He congratulated me. His attorney said my patent was "air tight".
If there was a no star option, they would receive it. We were referred to them for patent work. Thousands of dollars later a question came up from the patent office. I had it reviewed by another firm because I was not feeling comfortable with VA & S. I was told by my new firm that the patent application was written so poorly, there was no way we could get this through. Thousands of dollars were wasted AND we can't get a patent because of the incompetence of VA & S. This is the first negative on-line review I have given ANYONE. I only want to positively boost others that have done a great job. So, I kept quiet, but the folks at VA & S are insisting I pay another $150 for something they filed. I sent them several emails stating I do not want to give them any more money, wasting thousands of dollars of ours is plenty, and went on with what happened. Nothing. No response at all. They want their $150, of which we will now pay in exchange for telling our true story where ever we can. And one more thing, when I told our new attorney how much we had paid VA & S, he was shocked- his competent work would have been a fraction of the price. I wish I could tell you the name of our Mpls attorney that IS doing a fabulous job with Trademark/Patent info! May this help the next business searching for patent/trademark work.
