Horrible, condescending and degrading. I spoke to Michael over the phone to schedule a consultation. Friday at 3pm worked for me and I was put off when he told me he likes to get out of the office early on Fridays but he'll see me. I came in on time, waited ten min and was greeted by him with unnecessarily aggressive comment about waiving my privilege if I brought someone else to my consultation which I did. During the next five minutes Michael told me that : My paperwork I brought is a mess My attorney was incompetent I should have documents I didn't know existed I am wasting his time He was extremely condescending, rude, aggressive and a bully and I was astounded to have been attacked. I said I'm uncomfortable with this conversation trying to give him a chance to pull himself together from whatever was going on that I had no business witnessing. His reply : THEN GET ANOTHER LAWYER. I collected my documents and left. He called me five minutes later to what he thought was apologize. He said : i called to apologize. I am working 12 hour days and always leave on Friday at 2 and you wanted to come in at 3. I'll look at your case if you want to turn around. I declined. He took no responsibility, still made his behavior my fault. I guess I picked an inconvenient time and day which I never insisted on. This is the most appalling example of lack of professionalism I've encountered in my personal and professional life and it took me hours to compose myself from how affected I was by being attacked by him for no other reason than starting his weekend later. I am only left with one question : Michael, why did you book that appointment in the first place? You could have said you were unavailable that afternoon. and maybe don't tell clients your early weekend is your priority in general. I'm still shocked this actually happened.
