The Law Office of John K. Costalas Introduce
For individuals seeking legal representation in the Broomall, PA area, within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, The Law Office of John K. Costalas is a firm to consider. Located at 2558 West Chester Pike #100, Broomall, PA 19008, USA, the firm's physical address places it in a suburban setting, likely offering a more accessible and less intimidating environment compared to a bustling city center. This location could be convenient for local residents in Broomall and surrounding communities in Delaware County.
The environment of The Law Office of John K. Costalas, being situated in an office suite, suggests a professional yet potentially more intimate setting than a large corporate law firm. Suite #100 implies a ground-floor or easily accessible office, which can be a practical benefit for clients. While specific details about the interior are not available, it can be presumed to be a standard legal office environment, designed for confidential client consultations and the efficient handling of legal documentation.
The firm, led by John K. Costalas, Esquire, offers legal services in several practice areas. Based on external information, their services primarily include real property law, family law, and personal injury. Additionally, the provided client review specifically mentions a DUI case, suggesting experience in criminal defense, particularly concerning driving under the influence charges. The firm states its readiness to provide "prompt and reliable legal representation," inviting potential clients to contact them for a consultation. They also maintain professional liability insurance, as per public records, which is a standard and reassuring aspect of legal practice.
However, it is crucial to address the client reviews provided, as they offer significant insights into the firm's features and potential areas of concern. The two identical reviews from a client involved in a second DUI misdemeanor highlight several critical issues. The client's expectation of no jail time was reportedly contradicted by the associate attorney, who stepped in for John Costalas while he was on vacation. This indicates a potential breakdown in internal communication or client expectation management, leading to a significant disparity between what the client was "told" and the eventual outcome. The client's disappointment is palpable, expressing that "Nothing John told me happened" and feeling that they "never got what I paid for."
This feedback points to several features that potential clients should carefully consider. Firstly, communication clarity and consistency appear to be a challenge for some clients. The discrepancy between information provided by John Costalas and his associate can be highly detrimental to client trust and satisfaction. Secondly, the issue of an attorney being on vacation during a critical hearing and an associate having to step in, seemingly without full knowledge of prior assurances, raises questions about case management and continuity of care. Clients typically expect their primary attorney to be present and fully informed during their legal proceedings, especially for significant matters like criminal hearings.
The client's sentiment of not getting "the attention I never got what I paid for" further underscores concerns about client service and perceived value. While legal outcomes are never guaranteed, clients expect diligence, clear communication, and a consistent effort on their behalf. The severe consequences faced by the client (10 weekends, 70 days house arrest, 2 years probation with three years consecutive, and loss of firearm rights) demonstrate the gravity of the case and the profound impact of the legal process on their life. This outcome, when contrasted with earlier assurances, highlights the importance of managing client expectations realistically from the outset.
On the promotional front, The Law Office of John K. Costalas, like many smaller firms, likely relies on its reputation, local presence, and direct client outreach. Their website, CostalasLaw.com, serves as a primary point of contact, offering information about their practice areas and how to schedule a consultation. For individuals searching for "Nearby Lawyers" in Broomall, the firm's local address and established presence in the community are key factors in their visibility. The firm emphasizes its readiness to provide "prompt and reliable legal representation," which suggests a commitment to quick service and dependability. However, the existing client review provides a counterpoint to this promotional statement, suggesting that promptness and reliability in communication may not always meet client expectations.
In the context of the "Nearby Lawyers" category, the convenience of location in Broomall is a definite advantage for local residents. The firm's stated practice areas in real property, family law, and personal injury, along with apparent experience in criminal defense, indicate a breadth of services that could cater to various community needs. However, the detailed and critical client feedback regarding communication, case management, and discrepancies in information warrants careful consideration by prospective clients. It is advisable for individuals to conduct thorough due diligence, including asking specific questions about case handling procedures, communication protocols, and potential outcomes, and to seek clarification on any assurances given.
In conclusion, The Law Office of John K. Costalas, located at 2558 West Chester Pike #100, Broomall, PA 19008, USA, offers legal services in areas such as real property, family law, and criminal defense. The firm positions itself as a provider of prompt and reliable legal representation, conveniently situated for local residents. While they aim to provide accessible legal support, as evidenced by their contact options and the suburban office environment, a recent client review raises significant concerns about communication consistency, continuity of representation, and the management of client expectations regarding case outcomes. Potential clients seeking "Nearby Lawyers" should weigh these factors carefully and engage in comprehensive discussions with the firm to ensure their expectations align with the services provided.

Got a M1 Misdemeanor for a seconded DUI when I was told I wasn’t getting any jail time. When my hearing came up, john continued it and his associate had to step in because he was taking a vacation that week. Nothing John told me happened and his associate even said, “ I don’t know what John told you but this is what you’re looking at.” You’re looking at ( 10 weekends, 70 days house arrest, 2 years probation with three years consecutive.” I know what I did and It’s not acceptable but I paid my dues and paid lot of money for a lawyer that never gave me the attention I never got what I paid for! I can never own or possess anything to protect my family’s household.
