This introduction provides a detailed overview of The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini, drawing upon available information to offer an objective perspective on their services, environment, features, and reputation.
The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini operates from a professional office space situated in downtown Scranton. The address, 538 Spruce St Suite 800, suggests a presence within a multi-tenant building, likely offering a standard office environment expected of a legal practice. While specific details about the interior ambiance are not publicly available, one can generally anticipate a setting conducive to client consultations, document review, and legal strategizing. The central location in Scranton makes the firm geographically accessible to individuals and businesses within the city and surrounding areas, aligning with the convenience sought by users of the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category.
Regarding the services offered by The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini, the available information provides a mixed picture. One positive review mentions assistance received from James Greco, indicating that at least one attorney within the firm is providing satisfactory legal counsel. The reviewer explicitly states they were "helped out 100%" and would recommend the firm to others in need of legal council. This suggests a capacity to handle legal matters effectively and achieve positive outcomes for their clients, at least in some instances. Potential clients searching for "Nearby Lawyers" would likely find this positive feedback reassuring.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This detailed account describes a deeply negative interaction involving alleged mishandling of a potential mold issue case. The reviewer claims that after an initial consultation with an attorney (identified as "atty Cimini"), they were instructed to gather extensive documentation and even find other affected families. Subsequently, while the attorney was reportedly on vacation, the reviewer was informed by a paralegal and another attorney that the firm deemed their case "too expensive" to pursue. The reviewer expresses significant distress and alleges that their family's health has been severely impacted by the mold issue. They also dispute the firm's assessment of the cost, claiming to have obtained a reasonable quote from a mold expert. This review raises serious concerns about the firm's client communication, case selection process, and overall client care. For users of the "Nearby Lawyers" platform, this feedback serves as a critical point to consider when evaluating The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini.
Considering these contrasting experiences, it's challenging to definitively characterize the features of The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini. On one hand, the positive review highlights the potential for effective legal assistance and client satisfaction. The mention of James Greco suggests a competent legal professional within the firm. On the other hand, the negative review paints a picture of potential disorganization, poor communication, and a lack of empathy or follow-through. The alleged delegation of case rejection to a paralegal and another attorney while the primary attorney was on vacation could be perceived as unprofessional. The discrepancy between the firm's assessment of the case's expense and the reviewer's information also raises questions about transparency and due diligence.
From the perspective of a user browsing the "Nearby Lawyers" category, this information underscores the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting legal representation. While positive testimonials can be encouraging, negative experiences, especially those detailing significant dissatisfaction and perceived mishandling, warrant careful consideration. Potential clients might want to inquire specifically about the attorneys who would be handling their case, the firm's communication protocols, and their approach to case evaluation and cost estimation.
Given the available information, it is difficult to ascertain specific promotional aspects of The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini. The absence of publicly available marketing materials or a firm website (based on the provided data) limits the ability to comment on their promotional strategies. Typically, law firms might highlight their areas of expertise, years of experience, success rates, or commitment to client service in their promotional efforts. Without such information, we must rely solely on the provided customer reviews to gauge the firm's reputation and potential strengths or weaknesses.
In conclusion, The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini is a local law practice situated in Scranton, PA, making it a geographically relevant option for users of the "Nearby Lawyers" platform. While one customer review indicates positive experiences with attorney James Greco, another review details significant dissatisfaction with the firm's handling of a potential case, citing poor communication and questionable case evaluation. Potential clients should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and conduct further inquiry to determine if The Law Firm of Cognetti & Cimini aligns with their specific legal needs and expectations. After a consultation and being told by atty Cimini to put all of the issues we had at our apartment MOLD that has now made my entire family sick, me calling and workings with his para who not once said anything about him not taking our case, me spending 3 straight nights awake more than once printing out pictures and putting videos of my child having a severe asthma attack, pictures of mold and another family he asked me to find I. The community w the same issues- he had his lacky call me while he was on VACATION to say that our case was too expensive. That’s not true I have a mold expert who quoted 500 for the mold and then they charge 400 to test the mold in our movies to match it up. They didn’t even look while I killed myself doing all the work that he told me to. Never called me back himself, just his para and another attorney to tell me this while he is on vacation. My family is going to be sick forever asthma, sleep apnea, my 15 yo stops breathing and chokes on his silica 12 times an HOUR. And we wonder why it’s embarrassing to live in Scranton. It’s a joke. This mold is magical I just put it there.
Great law firm to work with James Greco helped me out 100% I would recommend this law firm to anyone that is in need of legal council
