The environment of Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP, situated in a professional office building at 425 Biden St #200, Scranton, PA, is designed to reflect the firm's established reputation and commitment to client service. Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP offers a broad spectrum of legal services, catering to corporate, non-profit, and individual clients. Their practice areas are extensive and include, but are not limited to: civil litigation; commercial transactions; business law; tax and estate planning; white collar criminal defense; complex commercial litigation; appeals; consumer protection defense and regulatory compliance; elder law; employment law; energy law; healthcare law; insurance law; professional licensing defense; real estate law, including property tax assessment appeals and commercial tax appeals; and voting rights. This wide array of specializations positions them as a full-service law firm capable of addressing multifaceted legal challenges across various industries.

Among their key features, the firm emphasizes its commitment to "total immersion" in understanding client needs and applying "exceptional legal judgment to deliver outstanding results." This suggests a client-centric approach where attorneys delve deeply into each case to provide tailored and effective solutions. The firm's attorneys have a strong track record, having appeared in courts in numerous Pennsylvania counties and representing high-ranking elected officials in the state government. This experience highlights their proficiency in navigating the Pennsylvania legal system at various levels.

Specifically within the realm of taxation, Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP's real estate practice explicitly covers "Property tax assessment appeals" and "Commercial tax appeals," among other tax structuring for real estate matters. This is relevant to the client review provided, which pertains to a tax appeal. Their involvement in sophisticated tax and estate planning further solidifies their capabilities in handling tax-related legal issues.

Client reviews provide a mixed perspective, offering valuable insight for prospective clients using the "Nearby Lawyers" platform. One customer expressed significant frustration regarding the firm's approach to providing fee information for a tax appeal. This individual stated they "could not get a straight answer on what they charge for a tax appeal" and felt there was excessive "unnecessary questioning" over two days, particularly when other attorneys had provided upfront fee structures (flat fee, hourly, or savings-based). This client strongly advised against calling the firm for tax appeal matters due to this experience.

However, it is crucial to note that other online reviews for Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP, found through general internet searches, present a different picture, highlighting the firm's strengths in other areas and general client satisfaction. Many testimonials praise the firm's professionalism, thoroughness, responsiveness, and ability to handle complex matters effectively. For instance, clients have recommended MBK for "strategic legal guidance to navigate ever-changing state and federal guidelines," describing them as "top-tier Pennsylvania law firm for complex energy matters." Others commend their "professionalism and personal care to understand the complexities of their clients' needs" and their ability to guide clients through "multiple challenges and opportunities." Reviews also mention their "quality and thoroughness of their legal analyses, writing, and preparation," "rapid responsiveness during and after hours," and their willingness to "listen, support, advocate, and counsel above and beyond the call of duty." Some clients have specifically recommended their commercial litigation team for complex business disputes, highlighting seamless teamwork and an efficient approach. These positive reviews span various practice areas, including energy, business, and complex litigation, and indicate a high level of client satisfaction with the firm's legal expertise and client service in those domains.

This dichotomy in feedback underscores the importance of a direct consultation to assess fit for specific legal needs, especially concerning fee structures. While the firm's website mentions "sophisticated legal skills of a national law firm," the client's experience with the tax appeal fee inquiry suggests a potential communication gap or a different approach to fee transparency for certain services compared to what the client expected.

Promotional information for Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP on the "Nearby Lawyers" platform would emphasize their broad range of practice areas, their reputation for handling complex and sophisticated legal matters, and their commitment to achieving outstanding results. The firm's long-standing presence and experience in Pennsylvania courts, as well as their representation of significant clients, would be key selling points. For specific inquiries like tax appeals, the firm might consider addressing fee transparency more directly in their promotional materials or during initial client contact to manage expectations. Their contact information, phone: (570) 342-6100 and mobile phone: +1 570-342-6100, would be prominently displayed, inviting potential clients to reach out. The address at 425 Biden St #200, Scranton, PA 18501, USA, would assure local users of their accessibility. The overall message would position Myers, Brier, & Kelly LLP as a robust and experienced legal partner for a wide range of legal challenges, capable of delivering comprehensive and strategic legal solutions.

I could not get a straight answer on what they charge for a tax appeal. They just keep asking so many questions over the course of two days when this should be a simple process. It is either a flat fee, hourly or the savings of the first year. Other attorneys offices were able to provide their fees upfront without all the unnecessary questioning. I strongly advise not to waste your time in calling them.
