Welcome to Nearby Lawyers, your platform for connecting with legal professionals in your local area. Today, we present an overview of The Joseph Firm, P.A., situated at 290 NW 165th St Penthouse 6, Miami, FL 33169, USA. They can be reached at (305) 501-0992 or via their mobile number, +1 305-501-0992. Based on the available online reviews, experiences with The Joseph Firm, P.A. appear to be varied, with notable positive feedback regarding their office management and professionalism in some aspects, alongside significant concerns raised about their consultation practices and retainer agreements.

Specific details about the physical environment of The Joseph Firm, P.A.'s office are not extensively described in the provided reviews. However, being located in a penthouse suite suggests a potentially professional and well-appointed setting. One client's positive experience upon walking into the office indicates a welcoming initial impression. However, the focus of the reviews primarily revolves around the service and administrative aspects rather than the physical ambiance.

The services offered by The Joseph Firm, P.A. are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the positive feedback centers around the professionalism and efficiency of Danriah Welch, who is identified as a law office manager. Her contributions appear to significantly impact the client experience in terms of organization, communication, and client support. This suggests that The Joseph Firm, P.A. aims to provide a well-managed and administratively efficient service to its clients.

On the other hand, a separate review raises serious concerns regarding the firm's consultation practices and retainer agreements. This client alleges a misrepresentation on the firm's website regarding a "free evaluation," which they believed would involve an attorney assessing their case without charge. Instead, they report being charged $150 for a telephone consultation, which the firm allegedly termed an "evaluation." The client states they provided information but did not receive a valuation during this call. Furthermore, this reviewer claims that while attorney Joseph verbally indicated that unused retainer funds would be refunded, the subsequent retainer agreement presented a "NON-REFUNDABLE retainer of $12,000+" with the funds being "earned upon receipt." The client's request to remove the non-refundable term was reportedly refused, leading to the firm declining representation. This individual's opinion, based on their initial dealings, is that the firm was not honest and employed a "bait-n-switch" tactic regarding the "free evaluation" claim.

The firm's response to this negative review, mentioned by the reviewer, claimed a refund of $4,850.00. However, the reviewer, in an update, stated that as of October 13, 2023, this refund had not been received, further highlighting potential discrepancies in their communication and practices.

Based on the available information, the features of The Joseph Firm, P.A. present a mixed perspective:

  • Efficient and Professional Office Management (as perceived by one client): Danriah Welch is lauded for her professionalism, efficiency, organizational skills, communication, and dedication to client satisfaction. This suggests a well-run administrative side to the firm.
  • Potentially Misleading Consultation Practices (as alleged by one client): Claims of a misrepresented "free evaluation" leading to a charged telephone consultation raise concerns about transparency in initial client interactions.
  • Potentially Unfavorable Retainer Agreement Terms (as alleged by one client): The inclusion of a significant non-refundable retainer fee, allegedly contradicting a verbal assurance of refundability, is a serious point of concern.
  • Issues with Transparency and Honesty (as perceived by one client): The allegations of bait-and-switch tactics and discrepancies regarding refunds raise questions about the firm's honesty and integrity in its dealings with potential clients.

Given the conflicting nature of these reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive overview of the typical services offered by The Joseph Firm, P.A. Without more information, it is not possible to ascertain their specific areas of legal practice (e.g., family law, personal injury, business law). Potential clients should seek clarity on the firm's areas of expertise during their initial contact.

Similarly, the contrasting experiences make it difficult to comment on the typical environment of client interactions beyond the initial positive impression reported by one reviewer. The allegations of misleading practices could indicate a less client-centric approach in some instances.

Regarding promotional information, the negative review specifically addresses the firm's "free evaluation" claim, suggesting it might be a form of promotion to attract potential clients. However, the subsequent experience reported by the reviewer casts a negative light on this claim. There is no other promotional information available in the provided reviews.

For local users in the Miami area seeking legal representation, The Joseph Firm, P.A., located on NW 165th Street, presents a complex picture. The positive feedback regarding the office management by Danriah Welch suggests a firm that values organization and client support in some aspects. However, the serious allegations of misleading consultation practices and unfavorable retainer terms raised by another reviewer warrant significant caution and due diligence. Potential clients are strongly advised to conduct thorough research, ask detailed questions about consultation fees and retainer agreements upfront, and consider seeking additional reviews or references before engaging The Joseph Firm, P.A. Contacting them at (305) 501-0992 or +1 305-501-0992 for clarification on their consultation process and retainer policies would be a crucial step in making an informed decision. Their office at 290 NW 165th St Penthouse 6, Miami, FL 33169, is their listed address, but prospective clients should proceed with caution based on the available, conflicting feedback.

His website makes the misrepresentation that it is a free evaluation which makes people believe an attorney will be evaluating the case. They charged me $150 for a telephone consultation but claimed it was for a telephone evaluation (Misleading. I never received a valuation I only gave info. and schedule the telephone consult). Then the attorney Joseph told me that he would refund any unused retainer funds during the telephone conversation but when I got the retainer agreement, it stated NON-REFUNDABLE retainer of $12,000+ and that the money was earned upon receipt. When I asked him to remove the NON-REFUNDABLE term from the retainer, he refused and declined to represent me. It is my opinion from my initial dealings with him that he was not honest with me. And that he and his firm are very much aware that people are being misled to believe the term "schedule your free evaluation" is a "free consultation" by an attorney but they play on those words to get people to call the firm then they do a BAIT-N-SWITCH. Response to Reply Below I appreciate the immediate response. But the reply does not negate the true facts above. Nevertheless, as of today Oct. 13, 2023, I did NOT receive a refund of my $4,850.00 the reply claims was refunded.

When I began my case, I had a different attorney, who would never return my messages and never gave me an idea what was going on with my case. I got fed up and went with Marck Joseph and it was such a great difference. He kept me updated, worked on my case and resolved my case. He was honest and thorough. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.

After many unsuccessful attempts to handle a family law matter on my own, I decided to retain The Joseph Firm. Marck and his team were very clear in their process, communicated everything along the way, and when a pandemic reared its face they fought harder. Very pleased with my results. I definitely suggest reaching out to them if you need professional representation.
