Incompetent and unethical arbitrator whose work on my dissolution case was described as "sexist", "corrupt", "draconian", "lazy", and "lacking intellectual wherewithal" by other lawyers who reviewed his work. He spent nearly four weeks to do a mere four hours of work, including losing financial documents halfway through, which had to be resupplied to him. He could not even be bothered to spell the names of my businesses correctly. His "findings" were a combination of him excusing himself from having to consider any nuance in the matter at hand and falsifying information about my business, including: -Refusing to consider that both the business and marriage originated in Ohio, not Washington. -Falsely claiming that no evidence was provided to counter the valuator's grossly erroneous valuation. -Falsely claiming that my former spouse had made a sizable "separate property" investment into the business. -Falsely claiming that the business had no value and no investment prior to our marriage. -Falsely claiming that I had stated in discovery that my business was community property. -Falsely claiming that I had insufficiently compensated the community during the marriage. Again, notice the consistent theme of trying to justify ignoring or rejecting any nuance in the matter at hand, thereby allowing him to put in as little effort as possible in arriving at a verdict And the circumstantial evidence bears this out: he did not begin working on the verdict until three weeks after it was due, when he was clearly in "let's just get this over with" mode. Scott legalized the plundering of a business I had worked hard to build over 12 years. I have no legal recourse --- at least not one that would have drained me of another small fortune in legal fees. Such is the Divorce Industrial Complex. Justice will likely not occur in this life, but I know it will in the next.
