  • I’ve been with this attorney more than 10 years. Very disappointed my husband case was cancel and now he has no work permeant and now and days for him it’s hard to do anything. I am from the USA born and raised and been very patient with this office because Covid and supposably other reason I was given that was dumb for me. That changes of judges and I’ve been more than patient with this office paid for his work permeant but enough is enough. I recommend you all to hire someone else. Still waiting until this day and paid the fees to feel like I have been stolen my time and energy. I have health condition and still they could not get my husband permeant residences.
  • DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. I would give zero stars if I could. I am extremely disappointed in them. My parent hired them in August, paid the retainer up front and trusted them to handle her case. For months she called repeatedly, and the staff said they would let the paralegal know to send her the list of requirements--but they never did. After FOUR MONTHS of waiting, she called again, only to find out that nothing had been filed for her case We then requested a refund due to their inaction, the attorney refused claiming that the payment was tied to a VAGUE one page contract. Even though we spoke to several staff members and they assured me we would be getting a refund. The whole office is basically a mess. It's unacceptable and unfair for them to charge for services that were never rendered. They don't seem to care about the lives of their clients who depend on them and trust them with these cases. This lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability has been extremely disappointing, especially from a Latino ran law firm claiming to serve the Latino community. I cannot recommend this form to anyone looking for reliable legal representation. Please do not hire them.
  • Not fond of the secretarial services which could turn many clients away. However, his work meets excellence, he is a big advocate and he is passionate about his work. I know of many families whose life's changed for the better because of the great services that he provides. Again the secretaries not so much. He used to work better when it was just him but I understand that as demand increases he needs help too. I wish the secretaries had the same passion for the community as he does.
  • Started my moms case on September of 2021 and very little progress has been made. More issues than anything. They do not answer emails, office says they will call you back but never do, and they lost very important paperwork. Mr.Velasco tried to make things right but ended up lying which wasted our time and money. It’s almost impossible to get into contact with the office to try and fix things.

  • Very disappointing and unprofessional I payed him 7 thousand to help me become a citizen this was 2 years ago and yet I received a letter threw the mail that from immigration that they have not done nothing for 2 years and they where going to close my case because of lack of them doing there job. Save your money he will just take it and won't do his job. If you want proof that I am a client just message me and show you paper work and contract.

One review expresses significant disappointment over a husband's case being canceled after over ten years with the attorney. The reviewer mentions a lack of a work permit and difficulties arising from this situation. The client, a U.S. citizen, cites being patient due to COVID-19 and other reasons provided by the office, including changes in judges. Despite having paid for the work permit, the reviewer feels their time and energy have been wasted and expresses regret in recommending the firm, suggesting others seek alternative legal representation.

Another review strongly advises against hiring Ruiz Velasco Immigration Law, stating they would give zero stars if possible. This client details their parent hiring the firm in August and paying a retainer upfront. Allegedly, for four months, despite repeated calls, the client's parent did not receive a list of required documents. Upon calling again after this extended period, they reportedly discovered that no action had been taken on the case. Following this inaction, a refund was requested, which the attorney purportedly refused, citing a vague one-page contract. The reviewer claims that multiple staff members had assured them a refund would be processed. They describe the office as "basically a mess" and deem it unacceptable to charge for services not rendered. This review concludes with a strong condemnation of the firm's lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability, particularly noting their claim to serve the Latino community. The reviewer explicitly advises others not to hire the firm for reliable legal representation.

These reviews present serious allegations regarding the firm's service delivery, communication, and handling of client cases and fees. Potential clients should carefully consider this feedback alongside any other information they may gather when deciding whether to engage Ruiz Velasco Immigration Law for their immigration needs.
