Based on the available customer reviews, Reid Law, particularly through attorney Michael Reid, appears to handle family law cases, including custody disputes. However, the limited number of reviews presents drastically different perspectives on the services provided. One reviewer describes Michael Reid as a "fantastic attorney" who, along with his team, worked very hard to provide the best possible representation. This client specifically mentions that Michael Reid won their custody case despite numerous obstacles and was available for support even outside of court hours. They express immense gratitude for his services.
In stark contrast, another review presents an extremely negative experience. This reviewer states that their daughter hired Michael Reid, representing Pacific Cascade Family Law, for a custody case with an initial quoted fee. However, they allege unauthorized charges to their credit card and claim that at the daughter's hearing, Michael Reid was "totally unprepared, not speaking on her behalf." The review further states that the daughter lost custody of her son, experienced a significant reduction in her Social Security Disability benefits, and was billed additional fees that were turned over to collections, despite the alleged lack of representation. Tragically, the reviewer attributes their daughter's suicide to the combination of losing her case and the financial and emotional distress caused by the alleged inadequate representation. This review strongly advises against hiring this firm.

Fantastic attorney! Congratulations! After reading some other reviews I'd like to add. Michael and the team he prepares work very hard to give you the best representation possible! Michael won my custody case with many obstacles. Michael and his team were available to me and to support me even when the courts were not open. I am so grateful to have had Michael on my case! So very happy for you.
Our daughter hired Michael Reid who represents Pacific Cascade Family Law, who we were told would represent her for $5000.00. Two months later our credit card was charged an additional $2162.00 which we did not authorize, and we had to get our bank involved to get it back. At her hearing Michael was totally unprepared, not speaking on her behalf. At her final hearing she ended up losing custody of her son, lost a great deal of her S.S Disability, which made it impossible to support herself, and was billed an additional $2000.00 which was turned over to collections, for him not representing her, and on account of all these things combined, caused our daughter to commit suicide last August. If you need an attorney to represent you, do not hire this firm to represent you, as you will not only lose your case, but he charged thousands of dollars for no representation.
To start my review I would like to be open about the fact that I work with Michael Reid. That being said I've come to admire Mr. Reid tremendously. He has mentored me though all of my toughest cases in family law. His integrity and accountability is second to none. He always does his best to accommodate his clients while providing top tier legal advice and legal aid. He is dedicated to his community and strives to provide equal access to Justice through our local qualified service provider. I couldn't think of a better person to work with.

I had Mr.Reid on retainer back in 2018 for a settlement hearing for our parenting plan/custody order. Though Mr.Reid was nice and seemed to hear my concerns and what I needed out of our custody order/parenting plan I realized that I didn't receive the best representation that I possibly could. He got me custody but that was kinda a given since the father is mentally ill and had no relationship with his child by his own choice. I asked for holidays to be split fairly between the two and only one parent has Halloween each year and the other parent has the rest switching on and off. I was also never notified when I ran out of my retainer and got charged $900 without knowing until after the fact. These things are trivial to me, what I really disliked about my attorney however was when I called him directly after settlement to let him know my daughter had come home with bruises on her back asking if it was possible to change the plan and go back to supervised visits and he told me I should leave it in place to better the coparenting relationship. This showed me he truly didnt care about our case or my child. Again I'm back in court and reached out to Mr.Reid hoping he could show the judge that the abuse has been an ongoing issue and he has known that as well and still have gotten no response even after offering to pay the last of the retainer plus a few more thousand. I would not trust this man to handle my case after this. Look for an attorney who actually cares about your family and what you have going on! Again, he was quick with paperwork, everything was done right and quickly but I wouldn't go to him with family law cases.
