Located at 360 Wabasha St N, Suite 100, St. Paul, MN 55102, USA, the Ramsey County Attorney's Office is a governmental agency that plays a crucial role in the local legal system. It is important to understand that the County Attorney's Office operates differently from private law firms; its primary function is to serve the public interest by prosecuting crimes that occur within Ramsey County and providing legal representation to the county government.
The environment of the Ramsey County Attorney's Office is likely a professional government office setting. Situated in Suite 100 of a building in downtown St. Paul, it serves as the central hub for the attorneys and staff who work to uphold the law within the county. While it is not a space where private clients typically meet for consultations in the same way they would at a private law firm, it is a place where legal professionals work diligently on behalf of the state and the citizens of Ramsey County.
The services provided by the Ramsey County Attorney's Office are primarily focused on the administration of criminal justice. These services typically include:
- Criminal Prosecution: The most well-known function of the County Attorney's Office is the prosecution of individuals accused of violating state and local laws within Ramsey County. This involves reviewing police reports, filing criminal charges, conducting investigations, negotiating plea agreements, and representing the state in criminal trials.

The provided reviews offer a mixed perspective. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the office's responsiveness in a situation involving a falsely reported crime and a resulting felony warrant. This feedback highlights potential challenges in communication and case management within a large public agency. It is important to consider that individual experiences can vary, and this review represents one person's frustration with a specific situation.
In contrast, the second review describes a "great panel interview and experience," where the individual felt "very welcomed." This positive feedback likely pertains to someone who was interviewing for a position within the office, suggesting a positive internal culture and welcoming environment for prospective employees. This may not directly reflect the experience of individuals interacting with the office in legal matters but can provide some insight into the professionalism of the staff.
Given the nature of a public prosecutor's office, traditional promotional information is generally not applicable. Their function is mandated by law, and their services are provided to the community as part of the criminal justice system and county governance. The "promotion" for such an office lies in its effectiveness in upholding the law, ensuring public safety, and serving the best interests of the community it represents.
For local users who have been accused of a crime or are victims of a crime within Ramsey County, understanding the role of the County Attorney's Office is essential. If you are accused of a crime, you will likely interact with prosecutors from this office. If you are a victim, the office may provide support and advocacy. However, if you need personal legal representation, you will need to seek a private attorney. The Ramsey County Attorney's Office can be contacted at (651) 266-3222 or their mobile number +1 651-266-3222 for general inquiries, but for personal legal advice or representation, you should consult a private lawyer.
In conclusion, the Ramsey County Attorney's Office in St. Paul is a vital part of the local legal framework, primarily responsible for prosecuting crimes and providing legal counsel to the county government. While one review raises concerns about responsiveness in a specific situation, another highlights a positive experience during an interview process. Local users in the "Nearby Lawyers" category should recognize that this office serves a distinct function from private law firms and generally does not provide legal representation to individual citizens. For personal legal needs, seeking a private attorney is necessary. Understanding the role and responsibilities of the Ramsey County Attorney's Office is crucial for navigating the legal landscape of Ramsey County.

My step son falsely reported abuse and my wife found out about it and the person has a felony warrants for a lie. They will not call her back after 20 calls to amend her statement. Now some poor dude has a felony warrant over a lie that has been reported and they won't even call her back. If I were the guy with the warrant I'd sue this office.
Great panel interview and experience, they made me feel very welcomed.
