I’m not one to communicate negative aspects of a business, but I would like to communicate my personal experience with Kristy and her practice and wish that no one has to go through that. My wife and I got recommended to Kristy’s firm by a friend who had been a customer of Kristy. We (as F1 students) we were looking to follow the legal path for a green card based on wife’s employer sponsorship. Upon conversations with her, she communicated that it was very much within the range to do it (three years). Initial conversations and interviews with Kristy and her assistant Emilio were promising and falsely displayed the usual professionalism you would expect from an attorney (none of our conversations later on would reflect the same) there’s always a she said/ he said around without proper communication within her office and they will make sure to blame it on you, and this will happen with tasks as simple as scheduling a meeting. Kristy is great at babbling without letting you speak and making you think she’s communicating something that you don’t know, trust us… it’s nonsense or information you’re aware of. Kristy failed to inform us that any question we had was going to be billed and therefore we constantly emailed and called her to our surprise. Three years later she decided to send the bill worth of thousands of dollars aside from the thousands of more that were paid for the entire process, during this check-in conversations, Kristy would assure my wife and I that the process was well within time and that we were waiting on the government for the next steps, the excuse being that the documents were submitted with erroneous information or that COVID was delaying the process. We put our status and lives on the hands of Kristy for almost 3 years while constantly checking on her and asking what the next step would be after our student visas expired. Every single one of our conversations Kristy adamantly assured us that everything was fine until about two weeks before our visas were set to expire, I finally confronted Kristy to ask her if we had been mischiefed and played with. Christie finally showed her true colors, and it was then when she was left speechless and frantically starting looking for more lies as answers. Finally realizing we had 2 months left in our visas, her answer was and I quote “yeah, I guess you don’t really have an option”. And just like that we saw 3 years of suffering, work, money, time, and dreams gone. We went ahead and paid over $1000 just to have a consultation with different immigration attorneys and they all without talking to each other agreed on the same thing: the same process under the same circumstances shouldn’t have taken more than one year and a half. I’m not saying to not choose this law firm, because Im sure they have some success, but be aware that their communication skills, and client interest was not their priority in our case, she only cared for the money. She now has thousands of dollars without doing a thing for us.
