I can not say enough nice things about Jeff Priest and his staff. I hired Jeff a year ago to move my divorce forward. Jeff took over my case from another lawyer who did very little except bill my file. As soon as Jeff took my case, things began to turn around in a positive direction. Jeff did not accept game playing and lack of discovery responses from my ex or opposing counsel. He obtained information using any and all legal means available to him. In doing so, Jeff was able to uncover numerous flaws and misinformation provided by opposing counsel. Jeff is super honest. He is also a brilliant attorney who thinks "outside the box" to achieve positive results. I trust Jeff wholeheartedly. He always had my best interest in the forefront of any settlement negotiation. Additionally, I could count on Jeff to give me straight answers. His approach is no nonsense and blunt. Even if I did not like the information communicated to me, I knew Jeff was being honest and treating me with the utmost respect. Jeff is also very humorous. He made me laugh many times when I felt like my world was collapsing around me. After several years in litigation, my case finally resolved and I could not be any happier with the results. Jeff did a phenomenal job handling my case. He was professional, knowledgable and an all around class act. I would definitely recommend Jeff Priest if you need a family law attorney. He helped me with my divorce and custody of my kids. I was about to lose custody of my kids, my life was horrible. But Jeff worked super hard to make sure that didn’t happen. He helped me get the results I wanted. More time with my kids. That means the world to me. I am able to see my kids everyday now thanks to him. For that, I thank you for the time and effort that was put into my case. It was worth every penny!
Really poor experience. Couldn't remember my ex's name. I asked where we were at in the financial aspect of the divorce. I was then talked down to and was told a divorce couldn't happen in a day. I think anyone going through a divorce is aware of that. Not unreasonable to ask what the financial aspect is at, 6 months into the process. I would also have 2-3 min phone calls and then would be billed 20 minutes for that phone call and a follow up email. I paid 3 grand to have myself send in my own paperwork and have no questions answered. I highly recommend choosing another law firm. Edit: This is the nightmare that won't go away. Got sent a bill for an additional $1500 when all I literally did was send my own paperwork in. Lisa Hill won't return any of my phone calls asking what this is about. She did go out of her way to tell my new lawyer that if I take this comment down she will cancel the $1500. So Lisa pulled a $1500 charge out of thin air and then tried to bribe me to take this comment down. Now I have to go through the all the work of reporting her to the MN Attorney General for the fraudulent billing. If my report goes no where I will be forced to hire an additional lawyer to bring forth a lawsuit. If you are reading this, please chose ANY other law firm. Shady billing, lack of communication, sending to mediation with no settlement offer, bribing - all happened because of a 10k savings dispute with my ex. Terrible, terrible business practices. Updated 5/10/2023: this review has not been disputed. There have been no outreaches or attempts at a resolutions
Jeff and Richard are exceptional attorneys and exceeded my expectations. I am so grateful I picked them to help me with my divorce. They helped me get full custody of all three of my kids.
