If i could rate lower i would. I did not receive the experience i expected. The purpose was to help me relieve debt and i came into the Bankruptcy with more. In the middle of my process the legal Middleton withdrew after she had been paid and received her funds. Now im left in the middle of a case with no counsel. Would not recommend to nobody.

I feel much obliged to explicate that the experience I have had with Middleton Legal has been amazing and excellent. This was my first time dealing with an attorney. Similarly, it was my first time filing for bankruptcy. Thus, I was nervous for both reasons. When I checked online, I just decided to call Middleton Legal, and I was lucky that the attorney herself - Sheereen E. McNair, Esq. - picked up my call. She provided a very detailed explanation and direction regarding what was required. She guided me through the process. Sometimes I even sent her emails after business hours, and I would be surprised to get her responses/replies sooner. The honorable attorney has been greatly kind and caring. It's notable that her staff members were equally courteous and quick in responding. Thus, I highly recommend her/her law firm to everyone.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Shereen who was hired through ARAG. From the beginning, there were numerous red flags regarding her professionalism, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt since she had previously “helped” (a very generous term) with another ARAG case. Her communication was consistently poor, and she showed little regard for professionalism. I initially assumed she was just busy, but in reality, she simply does not prioritize her client. The most shocking part of my experience came just two days before my scheduled trial. Despite my repeated attempts to get updates—knowing my court date was approaching—she abruptly withdrew from my case on a Saturday afternoon, citing that she wasn’t physically in Maryland. This was the entire reason she was hired in the first place! How was I supposed to find new representation with essentially no notice? This should have been disclosed from the start, not at the last minute when my options were nonexistent. It felt like she was taking advantage of it being an ARAG case but unwilling to put in any extra effort beyond the bare minimum. I’m still waiting on a resolution for a previous issue she claimed she would look into but never followed up on. If you’re considering working with her, I strongly advise you to reconsider— it really feels as though she does not have her clients’ best interests at heart. Wish you the best, but definitely would not want someone else to experience this.

I was able to file bankruptcy through the Maryland Legal Aid and Middleton Legal were the first to accept my case. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Sheereen E. McNair and this lady was nothing short of amazing! She was very responsive which is quite impressive- there were times when I was in panic mode and would email/text after hour- and even is she was unavailable I would still get a response letting me know she received my concerns and would respond shortly- I absolutely have no complaints- would always be my first choice for financial/legal reputation
