Mariotti Joseph E Introduce

Joseph E. Mariotti, Esquire, operates a legal practice located at 730 Main St, Moosic, PA 18507, USA. As an attorney within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, he aims to provide legal services to individuals in Moosic and the surrounding communities, including Scranton, where he has practiced since 1992. The office's Main Street address suggests a visible and accessible location, which is often a key factor for clients seeking convenient legal assistance. While detailed descriptions of the firm's interior environment are not publicly available, it is generally expected that a professional legal office maintains a setting that promotes confidentiality and is conducive to serious legal discussions.

Joseph E. Mariotti's practice areas are quite extensive, with a significant emphasis on personal injury law. He handles a wide variety of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, truck accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, and slip and fall incidents. He also represents families in wrongful death cases. Beyond general personal injury, Attorney Mariotti has experience in complex class action cases. Furthermore, he advises clients on bad faith insurance claims, representing individuals who have had their claims for personal injuries or catastrophic property loss denied by insurance companies. In addition to his personal injury focus, Attorney Mariotti handles workers' compensation cases, assisting injured employees in securing benefits for workplace injuries. He also has experience with Social Security Disability and uninsured and underinsured arbitration cases. Notably, based on one client review, he also handles divorce cases, indicating a presence in family law as well. This broad scope of services positions him as a versatile attorney capable of addressing various legal needs of the community.

A key feature of Joseph E. Mariotti's professional background is his extensive experience. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and has also been admitted to practice in the U.S.D.C. for the Southern District of Ohio. Having practiced in Scranton, Pennsylvania, since 1992, he has over three decades of experience in representing plaintiffs in personal injury and class action cases. This longevity in the field suggests a deep understanding of legal procedures and a seasoned approach to litigation. The firm he is associated with, Caputo & Mariotti, P.C., highlights its combined 55+ years of legal experience and successful obtainment of "tens of millions of dollars in disclosed settlements," indicating a strong track record of securing significant compensation for clients.

However, an objective overview must also address the varied client feedback. While one client, "tom," had a "Wonderful Experience!" with Attorney Mariotti, stating he "handled my divorce very efficiently at a reasonable fee," another review presents a strong contrast, raising serious concerns. This negative review states, "Mr. Joe Mariotti did not fight for my needs as a client. Once he didn't think he could get more money out of my case, he refused to keep representing me, even though I still have outstanding medical bills. Over the last year, he ignored many of my calls and emails and wouldn't respond unless I sent an email with the subject line 'stop ignoring my calls and emails'." This client further alleges that Attorney Mariotti made decisions without their consent, specifically offering to settle with the workers' comp company despite being told otherwise, and ignored their specific wishes regarding medical bill coverage. The client also claims that outstanding medical bills, which Attorney Mariotti allegedly promised to handle, are still in collections, affecting their credit. The review concludes with a severe accusation: "He doesn't care about you as a person or getting your medical care covered, he only cares about any payday he will get."

This stark divergence in client experience suggests that while Attorney Mariotti may be effective and reasonably priced in certain areas, such as divorce, there are significant concerns regarding client communication, prioritization of client needs, and follow-through in other areas, specifically workers' compensation and medical bill resolution, as alleged by the critical review. This aspect of client care and communication is a crucial feature for any legal practice.

For promotional purposes, Joseph E. Mariotti's firm, Caputo & Mariotti, P.C., leverages its extensive experience and purported success in obtaining large settlements, which is a common promotional strategy for personal injury firms. The firm offers free legal consultations, a common practice to encourage initial contact. The phone numbers, (570) 342-9999 and +1 570-342-9999, provide direct avenues for potential clients to reach out. However, the presence of deeply negative feedback, particularly concerning client communication and perceived financial motivations, would likely be a significant consideration for prospective clients researching "Nearby Lawyers." While the firm's overall experience and successes in specific types of cases are highlighted, the critical review underscores areas where the client experience may fall short of expectations. Therefore, while the firm promotes its extensive legal experience and successful outcomes, potential clients would need to weigh these against the concerns raised by some past clients regarding communication and client-centered advocacy.

Mr. Joe Mariotti did not fight for my needs as a client. Once he didn't think he could get more money out of my case, he refused to keep representing me, even though I still have outstanding medical bills. Over the last year, he ignored many of my calls and emails and wouldn't respond unless I sent an email with the subject line "stop ignoring my calls and emails". He was supposed to include me on an important court hearing via phone and he did not do so. He just texted me about the decisions he was making (He offered to settle with the workers comp company even though I specifically told him I didn't want to do that and that what I wanted was to just have my medical bills covered.) instead of asking what would be best for me. When I told him why what he suggested wouldn't work well for my situation, he didn't care and ignored everything I said, then said he wouldn't keep representing my case. He still has yet to do anything about getting my medical bills paid, which are over a year over due and worker's comp is responsible for. He said he would get them paid, yet they're still in collections effecting my credit (which he is aware of) and he has done nothing about it. He doesn't care about you as a person or getting your medical care covered, he only cares about any payday he will get.
