I have been in the real estate business, buying, selling, and flipping houses for over 10 years and have dealt with many abstract companies and closing agency's. John Novak is by far the worst experience I have ever had. His lack of professionalism is astonishing. First he took forever to get a closing sheet prepared, ignored several calls from my agent and went out of his way to be difficult to work with. At closing we walked into a tiny waiting room the size of a closet and where told the closing itself would be held there. Of course Novak was not initially present, we had to wait for him. I guess he cant afford an office with a private conference room. This makes sense given that he clearly cant afford a suit either as when he finally showed up he was dressed so casual you might have thought he was sitting in his house watching TV. I guess it was not enough that we where all crammed into a tiny waiting room to do the closing he had to have an annoying assistant in there as well playing on her phone and occasionally looking up to spout some useless dribble in a shrill voice. Finally afterwards it took him an excessively long time to register the deed with the county. Honestly given his lack of quality up to that point it did not surprise me to much though. Over all the lack of professionalism this attorney showed was astounding to the point of being laughable. I guess that is appropriate though give that he is clearly a joke.

Great person and a great lawyer as professional as he can be ("not as they come") he is 1 of a kind of a man and a professional at what he does. Will do his most with what he is set to do. He will tell you with no promises or guarantees whatever your going thru or dealing with and how things are ,will ,be and turn out . No one nor him will guarantee anything in life those be the liars an false promises but this gentleman can do his best for a better outcome and won't b.s you. As you all know come straight forward don't lie don't make his job any harder when there can be a great result and outcome. Highly recommended.

I was thoroughly impressed with the fact that I was never rushed through any meeting with John, whether on phone or at his office, no matter what type of business we were discussing at the time. I was ALWAYS treated like a very valuable client whose time was even more important than his! I also have never had to wait to hear from John, a call back would be in a very timely manner. In every matter, I feel that I received far more service than I had asked for or anticipated, saving me time, and because of his foresight, quite a bit of money! Highly recommend!

John is a very knowledgeable, considerate, hard-working person that makes sure to listen to your needs and fulfill them. John served as mediator in my divorce. He gave the time and effort to ensure a successful and prompt outcome. John also made me feel comfortable and at ease in an otherwise stressful situation. As long as an issue is in his line of work, I’ll stick with him for anything I need advice on or help with. I completely recommend John Novak, Esquire, for any of your legal needs. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!!

Environment and Accessibility:
The office of John Novak, Esquire is located on the first floor of a building on South Main Street in Old Forge. One customer review described the closing taking place in a "tiny waiting room the size of a closet," which was also where the closing was held due to the apparent lack of a private conference room. This reviewer also noted that Mr. Novak was not present upon their arrival, causing a delay. Another observation was made about the casual attire of Mr. Novak during the closing, which the reviewer found unprofessional. These points suggest that potential clients might expect a more informal office setting and potentially limited space for meetings.
Services Offered:
Based on the available customer reviews, the primary service area highlighted is real estate law, specifically handling property closings. One reviewer, who has extensive experience in the real estate business, mentioned dealing with Mr. Novak for a home closing. The other positive review, while more general, also implies that Mr. Novak provides legal services that this client found valuable and professional in his own way. Therefore, it can be inferred that John Novak, Esquire offers services related to:
- Real Estate Closings: Handling the legal processes involved in buying and selling real estate.
Given the limited information, it is unclear if Mr. Novak offers a broader range of legal services beyond real estate. Potential clients are advised to contact his office directly to inquire about specific legal needs.
Features and Approach:
The customer reviews present a contrasting view of John Novak, Esquire's features and approach:
- Perceived Lack of Professionalism: One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction, citing a lack of professionalism in several areas. This included delays in preparing closing documents, ignored calls to their agent, being difficult to work with, conducting the closing in a small waiting room, Mr. Novak's casual attire, the presence of a disruptive assistant, and a perceived excessive delay in registering the deed. This reviewer concluded that the lack of professionalism was "astounding" and "laughable."
- Direct and Honest Communication: In contrast, another reviewer described Mr. Novak as a "great person and a great lawyer" who is "as professional as he can be." This reviewer highlighted his direct and honest communication style, noting that he provides realistic expectations without making false promises or guarantees about outcomes. They emphasized his willingness to do his best for a better result and his straightforward approach, recommending him highly.
These conflicting reviews suggest that clients may have very different experiences with John Novak, Esquire. Some may find his approach unprofessional and inefficient, while others may appreciate his directness and effort within his own style of professionalism.
Promotional Information and Client Testimonials:
The two provided reviews offer starkly different perspectives and can be considered as direct, albeit conflicting, testimonials:
- One reviewer recounted a negative experience characterized by delays, poor communication, an unprofessional closing environment, casual attire, a disruptive assistant, and slow processing of the deed. This review serves as a cautionary account.
- The other reviewer offered a positive assessment, praising Mr. Novak as a "great person and a great lawyer" who is honest, hardworking, and direct in his communication, recommending him highly for his efforts and realistic approach.
Given these contrasting opinions, potential clients should consider both perspectives when evaluating John Novak, Esquire's services. There is no explicit promotional information available beyond these personal experiences.
