LegumFitzpatrick, PLC Introduce
When seeking legal assistance, finding a lawyer who is both knowledgeable and reliable is a primary concern for individuals navigating the complexities of the legal system. Within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, we introduce you to LegumFitzpatrick, PLC, a law firm located in Fairfax, Virginia. Situated at 4004 Williamsburg Ct, this firm has received both positive and negative feedback from online reviewers, offering a mixed perspective on their services. This introduction aims to provide local users with a balanced overview of the firm, incorporating publicly available information, including direct client testimonials, to present an objective view of their environment, potential services, and key features, while also addressing concerns raised.
The address, 4004 Williamsburg Ct, Fairfax, VA 22032, USA, places LegumFitzpatrick, PLC in a suburban setting within Fairfax, Virginia. Williamsburg Court suggests an office building or complex in a potentially quieter area compared to a bustling downtown location. While specific details about the office space are not available, one might expect a professional environment suitable for legal consultations and the handling of client matters. The suburban location could offer ease of access and parking for clients in the Fairfax and surrounding areas.
Based on the available client reviews, it appears that LegumFitzpatrick, PLC offers a range of legal services, although the specific areas of specialization are not comprehensively detailed. One positive review specifically mentions assistance with an "old student loan issue," where attorney Terry provided options and honest guidance. This suggests that the firm handles matters related to debt and financial obligations. The reviewer's statement that Terry is now their "attorney forever" indicates a high level of satisfaction with the service received in this particular case. However, a contrasting negative review raises serious concerns about the firm's professionalism in handling and delivering sensitive legal documents, specifically a warrant/summons. The reviewer, who was not involved in the legal matter, received the document because the intended recipient used to live at their address. This suggests potential issues with the firm's practices regarding the handling of important legal mail and address verification.
Features of LegumFitzpatrick, PLC, as suggested by the reviews, present a mixed picture. On the positive side, attorney Terry is described as "knowledgeable and reliable," providing honest advice and excellent service in at least one instance related to student loan issues. His responsiveness and the positive outcome for the client are also highlighted. This suggests that the firm has capable attorneys who can achieve favorable results and build strong client relationships. However, the negative review points to significant concerns about unprofessional practices in the handling of sensitive legal documents. The failure to use certified mail for a warrant/summons and the apparent lack of thorough address verification raise questions about the firm's attention to detail and adherence to best practices in legal procedures. The fact that the document was allegedly delivered without an envelope further exacerbates these concerns, potentially exposing sensitive information unintentionally. This suggests a lack of standardized protocols for handling critical legal mail, which could be a significant drawback for clients who expect confidentiality and secure handling of their legal matters.
The availability of both a local phone number, (703) 385-6700, and a mobile phone number, +1 703-385-6700, indicates that LegumFitzpatrick, PLC is reachable by potential clients in the Fairfax, VA area. This dual contact information offers convenience for individuals seeking to get in touch with the firm. However, the ease of initial contact needs to be weighed against the concerns raised about the firm's operational practices once a case is underway.
The positive review serves as promotional information, highlighting attorney Terry's knowledge, reliability, and excellent service in the context of a student loan issue. The strong recommendation and the reviewer's intention to remain a long-term client speak volumes about the positive experience in that specific instance. The referral through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also suggests that Terry and the firm may have established relationships with such programs, indicating a level of professional recognition. However, the negative review acts as a significant caution. The allegations of unprofessional handling of a warrant/summons, including the failure to use certified mail and inadequate address verification, could deter potential clients who prioritize the secure and professional handling of their legal documents and sensitive information. The firm's response to the negative review, while acknowledging receipt of a letter, does not fully address the core concerns about the lack of an envelope and the implications for privacy and security.
For local users in the "Nearby Lawyers" category in Fairfax, VA, considering LegumFitzpatrick, PLC, it is crucial to weigh the positive feedback regarding attorney Terry's handling of a student loan issue against the serious concerns raised about the firm's practices in delivering sensitive legal documents. If your legal needs align with areas where Terry has demonstrated expertise and you value a responsive and knowledgeable attorney, the positive review suggests a potentially satisfactory experience. However, it would be prudent to inquire about the firm's protocols for handling important legal documents and ensuring the privacy and security of client information, given the issues highlighted in the negative review. Understanding their procedures for mail handling, address verification, and maintaining confidentiality would be essential before entrusting them with sensitive legal matters.
In conclusion, LegumFitzpatrick, PLC, located in Fairfax, VA, at 4004 Williamsburg Ct, presents a mixed profile based on the available online reviews. Attorney Terry is praised for his knowledge, reliability, and excellent service in assisting with a student loan issue. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the firm's unprofessional practices in handling and delivering sensitive legal documents, including allegations of not using certified mail and failing to adequately verify addresses, potentially leading to unintentional disclosure of personal information. For local users in the "Nearby Lawyers" category, it is recommended to carefully consider both the positive and negative feedback and to conduct thorough due diligence, including asking specific questions about the firm's operational procedures, before deciding to engage their services. The contrast in experiences suggests that while some clients may receive excellent legal representation, there are potential risks related to the firm's administrative practices that should be carefully evaluated.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable attorney to represent you, Terry, is your guy!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Terry as he was referred to me via my EAP and he didn't disappoint. I had an issue regarding an old student loan and Terry assisted me and gave me options. He was honest and let me knew where I stand. He is now attorney forever if and when I ever need one again because the service I received was excellent! Call LegumFitzpatrick today and ask for Terry, tell him Apryl sent you ;-)
Very unprofessional, I’m not in any legal issues related to them, however they delivered a VERY IMPORTANT warrant/summons for someone who used to live at my address. One, you should be using certified mail for anything of this magnitude, and two, do your due diligence in vetting your clients addresses so you’re not giving out their information to random people. If I were them, I would be livid at your poor practices. Shame. EDIT 9/12/2023: To the owner who responded, the letter was not in an envelope at all, which is why I wrote my review in the first place about you giving out people's information unintentionally, and suggested that you use certified mail. No, I am not familiar with the law but I would hope it says you can't deliver things in the way I received it.
Judy has a very nasty attitude. She makes very sly remarks and speaks in a very judgmental tone. No matter the situation, we are all human and she could at least speak to someone like one.
Great Lawyers. Great services, They listen to you and a wonderful teams. Will recommend.
