“I had a wonderful experience with the Law Office Of Marvin Liss . I trusted Mr.Liss with my case and I was impressed with the outcome . If you want satisfaction I advise you to give Mr.Liss a call . He will pull it together for you. 😊😊”

However, another experience was shared involving a payment dispute:

“Summary: I was an interpreter that was hired by Law Offices of Marvin Liss. Unfortunately, he refused to pay the agreed upon amount and tried to force me to only accept 50% of the agreed upon fee after he used my services. Contracting for 10:00am services then changed to 11:00am. Did not communicate that they were not going to be ontime or for me to wait until I hear from them or anything. They show up at 12:10pm. I log in and start interpreting 10-15 mins later. His firm used my services and i have no doubt the service was excellent. He does not say he wont honor the agreement then. But when I sent in my invoice, he thinks he should only pay me 2 hours. When essentially his firm had used up over 4.5 hours of my time. If you need details keep reading. I regret having to write this. I was an interpreter who was hired to work on a deposition for one of the firm's clients. According to the agreement, I was charging them at 75/hour with 4 hours minimum. I was hired to start work by 10:00 a.m. but the time was later changed to 11:00 a.m. I logged in at 11:00 a.m. and waited, but received no response after calling the contact number and sending an email. After waiting for over an hour with no communication, I assumed they were a no-show. I finally received an email two hours and ten minutes after the original scheduled time, and one hour and ten minutes after the revised 11:00 a.m. start time. I logged in and began interpreting within 10-15 minutes of receiving the email. The assignment concluded around 2:30 p.m., resulting in over 4.5 hours since the original agreed-upon time. I billed for 4 hours, which is the minimum for these services. However, Mr. Liss felt he should only pay 50% of the agreed upon amount because it took me 10-15 to log in when they were ready. Contracting at 10:00am. then changed to 11:00am. Did not communicate for the me to wait until I hear from them or anything. They show up at 12:10pm. I log in and interpret 10-15 mins later. I am a personal injury physician, working with Attorney Marvin Liss and his staff Jennifer, Andera, Anne and Megan. They all are HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE, courteous, and kind. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone that’s looking for a professional attorney and law office, to please look no further. You will be Bless by making this decision. Mr. Liss is one of the best attorneys I've encountered, not only does he possess professionalism, experience and puts forth every effort to have a positive outcome; he is also confident, honest and compassionate with his work. He cares about people outside of just performing his job as an attorney. He connects with the individual to help you become comfortable and he also educates you on the process. Talk with him and you will see just what I mean. I highly recommend this office to anyone in need of a top lawyer in the Washington DC area. He is well known and respected as is his office.

I was involved in an accident almost 4 months ago in May. I was given the run around by insurance companies, physical therapy recommended by Mr. Liss and Mr. Liss and his staff themselves. I was recommended by a friend who said Mr. Liss’ services would be helpful in obtaining compensation for this unfortunate accident. I waited a month after initial contact before I was finally able to sign a retainer for his services. His staff nor himself followed up until I began to wonder what was holding us up as I started physical therapy already. I again reached out after a few weeks to see had there been any update. (The insurance company at first intended to drag this out.) They told me they were waiting on my discharge papers from physical therapy. I told them I had completed physical therapy already for about 2 weeks. I apparently had to get discharged by a doctor. While I was upset, I immediately scheduled that discharge same day and asked to speak to Mr. Liss or someone who was familiar with my case. I got discharged and again waited a week. I contacted them again to only find out they sent me a letter in the mail. I never received it so they emailed me. It basically dropped me as a client. Stifled, I called to find out why this was the case. Only to discover, no one was communicating with each other. There was no follow up to show I followed all the appropriate steps. Mr. Liss called me where we discovered there was “miscommunication” between the physical therapist and Mr. Liss’ office. After hashing it out, I asked Mr. Liss should we sign the retainer again to solidify an agreement. He told me he would follow up with me after he did some investigating. I never heard back but I was tired of waiting. I started doing some investigating of my own. Mr. Liss never followed up with the other parties insurance to find out that I would be covered. The insurance company made this decision back in June. This has been a whirlwind that could have been avoided. It is now September and I was the only one who ever did any work. Very disappointing that it has taken this long as I am a single mother of 2. I hired Mr. Liss to assist with getting what I need after being horribly inconvenienced. By dropping me as a client, he did me a huge favor. If you are looking for a lawyer, don’t use this one. You’ll end up doing all the work and pay someone to make sure no one jerks you around while they do all the jerking. 0/10 do not recommend.
