Alan Soven receives a zero-star rating from me. He represented me in a false domestic violence accusation by my ex-wife during our divorce. Despite having a strong case with witnesses and 911 tapes in my favor, Soven persuaded me to accept a plea deal for 1 year of probation with adjudication withheld, claiming it was the best option to avoid a potential 5-year sentence if found guilty at trial. However, Soven failed to inform me that my record couldn’t be expunged or sealed due to the nature of the charges in Florida. Had I received proper legal advice, I would have opted for a trial instead of accepting the plea deal. Soven’s incompetence has led me to caution against engaging him for any legal matters. He should stick to ambulance chasing cases.
