I have known Tim Leary for over two decades. He is one of the best Seattle area criminal defense attorneys in my opinion. He takes on difficult cases and gets amazing results. You are in good hands with him in your corner!
Tim did a great job representing my family member even though the cards were stacked against us. He fought hard for us and was always super quick to respond back to us when we needed help or had questions. He even helped us after when we needed his support. Tim represented myself, at the beginning, in a defense case with a AFH State License. He was fair, to the point, helping me to understand the big picture in the Courts of the laws of WA State. Further, I had to defend myself at the Courts of Appeals, where the Judges were open minded and reasonable, fantastik job to defend myself. I, finally, w o n ! Thanks be to God , the Judges and the Attorneys who made this trial a success.
I hired Timothy Leary (WSBA# 30355) in July 2015 to represent me in a criminal case. This was the WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE, I have regretted it every day since. Sorry this is very long but there is so much wrong with what happened. Do not consider him for representation, you too will regret it. You have been warned. Here is why, - He failed to meet the professional standards of conduct in the following ways: - He was unresponsive to communications sent both over email and over the phone. We had to schedule meetings with him twice (On October 22, 2015 and another time) to address the concerns with his unresponsiveness and not meeting the commitments he made, as well as the total lack of progress with my case. - He delayed the scheduling of the trial in the case 10 times despite my desire to progress with the case. Being charged in this case caused me to lose my job and his further delay caused me to not be able to continue with my life. - He showed up late to almost ALL of the court hearings. - On October 15, 2015 he showed up so late to the hearing that the court wrote a warrant for my arrest since he was not there to announce us as present. (Attorneys you pay should HELP you with your situation, not make it worse) He was unapologetic about these actions. HE CONFIRMED TO ME THAT HE MADE THE REQUEST TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT but was not able to get any more videos than what had already been provided in the discovery. I later made a public disclosure request to the police department regarding all of the public disclosure requests made regarding the traffic camera videos or the incident and there was no record of a request from Leary! He blatantly lied about his work on my case........ My experience with Timothy Leary was horrible and I would not recommend his services to anyone.
I do not know why this gentleman agreed to defend my husband if he had no intention of doing well. he did not touch his heart to charge me the money for the trial since he did absolutely nothing, he just went to sit there, did not investigate anything on his own or show any of the tests I had given him, he had enough good material to fight the case. I lost the only money we had, maybe it was not much money but this man should not have stolen us that way. my husband does not deserve to be there where he is and my two little children do not deserve to be without his father
