It was a difficult time for my family and I as I had to go through several layoffs over a stretch of time. During that time the debt became unmanageable and I thought my only recourse was to file bankruptcy. I actually started out with another lawyer who also came highly recommended, but unfortunately along the way during my case he became ill and could no longer continue. He suggested Mr. Roth would be able to take over and take over he did. It was not an easy case, which I'm sure none are, since it is very hard to for a person to file and feel that they have been a failure. At no time did Mr. Roth and his office make me feel that way to which I am greatly appreciative. Our case involved some other debt but the most critical aspect was our house. We would have lost it for nothing had he and his crew (his son Evan joined his practice it seemed about midway in our case and was also a huge asset) not stepped up and tried to do their best to salvage what little equity we might have had. In the end, we walked away with what money we could and can say the mortgage was paid in full without being sold at a sheriffs sale. After the sale he then helped me to convert the Chapter 13 over to a Chapter 7 to help get rid of the other debt. I can say that as of today my Chapter 7 has been discharged and I can begin the process of starting over. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Roth, his son Evan, and his entire office for helping me and my family navigate this tough time in our lives and allowing us to move forward.
