Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore Introduce

The Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore is located at 18075 Ventura Blvd in Encino, California. For local users seeking a nearby lawyer, the office can be contacted at (818) 971-9529 or via mobile phone at +1 818-971-9529. The physical environment of the office, situated on Ventura Boulevard, is likely a standard professional space intended for client meetings and legal work. However, it is important for potential clients to consider the significant feedback available from online reviews regarding the services provided by this law office.

Based on the limited information available directly from the law office itself, the specific areas of legal practice are not detailed. However, reviews from former clients indicate that the Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore has handled cases involving divorce and child custody. These reviews provide firsthand accounts of client experiences, which should be carefully considered by individuals seeking legal representation in these or potentially other areas of law.

Several reviews paint a concerning picture of the services provided. One client expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating that Mr. Cantore was "incapable" and that hiring him led to their case being "screwed up badly." This reviewer reported having to hire a new attorney to rectify the issues caused by Mr. Cantore's handling of the case and regretted not only the wasted attorney fees but, more importantly, the negative impact on their legal matter.

Another client who hired Mr. Cantore for a divorce case in May detailed multiple significant issues. These included an alleged miscalculation of visitation time, which the client's subsequent attorney was reportedly able to correct easily. Furthermore, the client claimed that Mr. Cantore agreed to an additional monthly payment to the client's spouse without the client's involvement or acknowledgment, leading to a situation where the unemployed client was ordered to pay a substantial amount of child support even while their spouse earned a significant income. This client also described Mr. Cantore as "clumsy in the court," alleging a lack of advocacy and an appearance of guilt when questioned by the judge, which the client believes directly resulted in an unfavorable court order. This reviewer also raised concerns about billing practices, claiming that the initial retainer was quickly exhausted, even with Mr. Cantore allegedly being late for a hearing and then billing for an extended number of hours for that morning.

A third review from an individual who called for a consultation described a highly unprofessional and dismissive interaction. This potential client, who was working in a warehouse job, reported being laughed at by Mr. Cantore upon hearing their occupation and financial situation. The reviewer stated that Mr. Cantore was rude, did not listen to their situation, twisted facts, and made condescending remarks about their life circumstances and past legal expenses. This individual strongly advised against hiring Mr. Cantore, regardless of financial ability, based on this consultation experience.

Another very brief review echoed the negative sentiment, urging others to "reconsider hiring him if you want someone to fight for you," and agreeing with another negative review.

Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback from these reviews, it is difficult to objectively identify positive features of the Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore based solely on this information. The recurring themes in the reviews include allegations of incompetence, poor representation in court, questionable billing practices, and unprofessional conduct during client interactions.

There is no promotional information available online for the Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore. In light of the serious concerns raised in the customer reviews, potential clients are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering retaining this law office for any legal services. This due diligence should include seeking second opinions from other attorneys and carefully evaluating the potential risks highlighted by the experiences of previous clients.

In conclusion, while the Law Office of Christopher D. Cantore is located in Encino, CA, and can be contacted at (818) 971-9529, the available reviews from former clients raise significant red flags regarding the quality of legal services provided. These reviews detail allegations of incompetence, mishandled cases, questionable billing, and unprofessional conduct. Local users seeking nearby legal representation are strongly encouraged to consider these accounts and exercise caution when considering this law office. It is recommended to seek legal counsel from attorneys with more positive and verifiable track records to ensure their legal matters are handled competently and professionally.

I can't say enough how Mr. Christopher Cantore incapable is! Before Mr. Cantore, I can't ever imagine an attorney could be this bad at his job! I regret so much for having hired Mr. Cantore, not for wasting attorney fee, most importantly, for my case being screwed up badly. I had to refuse when Mr. Cantore asked for new payment after the initial retainer used up quickly, and hire a new attorney to fix all the damages he left behind. I hired Mr. Cantore this May to handle my divorce, but when we went to the court, I quickly realized that Mr. Cantore didn’t count my visitation time right (which my new attorney later easily got more for me from the same attorney of my wife in just a few minutes chatting and calculation!!). Plus, without my involvement and acknowledgement, Mr. Cantore also agreed to my wife’s attorney’s request that I pay $450/month add-ons to my wife without any conditions (I seriously want to know how my wife’s attorney convinced Mr. Cantore for that!). As a result, even my wife made $6500/month, while I was UNEMPLOYED, I needed to pay (one) child support to my wife $755 per month! I immediately realized the number didn’t make any sense when I heard it, while Mr. Cantore comforted himself in the court that both sides could claim victory (Fortunately my new hired attorney fixed that later)…. I don’t want to go to too many details as Mr. Cantore totally screwed me up, painfully, on visitation arrangement too, but one thing I was really frustrated is that Mr. Cantore is absolutely clumsy in the court. He was like brain freeze, not able to say even one word when the other attorney attacked, and he looked genuinely guilty, not able to defend, when the judge challenged him questions (What in the world!), which I believe directly resulted in the court order completely in my wife’s favor. In short, Mr. Cantore told me that the 20-hour retainer should get me through my divorce when we first talked over the phone. But the truth is, even Mr. Cantore was late for our 8:30am hearing, he charged me 4+ hours for that morning’s hearing according to his log, to conveniently use up all the retainer after that hearing, while we even haven’t started the asset splitting thing yet, and the divorce dissolution is not even in sight! I had to refuse to continue a new payment when he asked for. Thanks for Mr. Cantore’s work, I had to hire a new attorney to fix all the holes he left (I am willing to confront Mr. Cantore about my statements any minute).

I just called for a consultation cause I was told this guy works with ppl in hard situations. I didn't expect to call and get laughed at when he heard im working at a lowly warehouse job. Even after explaining to him my situation and background a bit. He laughed and said just go back to school and get a better job. I literally told him if everyone had that life of luxury as well as the finances to do so.. I think we would all have cozy office jobs counting bank. But we work with what we got and we have to do the jobs we re given an opportunity. He was pretty rude and didn't listen to a darn thing ive said. Even twisted facts about my case. I don't think lawyers are supposed to treat you like you're worth nothing and laugh at you. I would not hire at this guy even if I had the right amount of money. Let me give an example.. I told him I spent 1500 which was unfortunately my life's savings on a lawyer for custody years ago. He laughed and said if 1500 is all you got then ure not gonna retire and work til your body can't. But he said he ll only charge 1200 if thats helps. Lol. Wow.. Please reconsider hiring him if you want someone to fight for you. I agree with the review below me regarding this dude.

The prior review by Mr. C is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. I consistently get great feedback from my clients and excellent results. However, being a parent is hard work and if the parent is not willing to do the work, then the parent should take responsibility and not blame the lawyer.
