I felt completely taken advantage of. Even though this lawyer didn’t have any experience in the field of law I needed and instead of advising me to seek someone who had experience in the matter they decided to wing it and charge me exorbitant rates. I was charged thousands of dollars for research. If the lawyer knew what they were doing then maybe it wouldn’t have required so many hours of research. I was charge 3k for one piece of paper that was an agreement between two parties. When I spoke with another lawyer who was well versed they said that piece of paper wasn’t worth anything. I called the lawyer to ask a few basic questions and towards the end of the call thy stated that they charged me for every single time I called. What type of a business is that. I run a business and if a customer called me to ask questions about the product I produced for them and I said I’m gonna charge you for every minute that you speak to me. I would be out of business.
