Kristopher K. Greenwood & Associates Introduce
Welcome to the profile of Kristopher K. Greenwood & Associates, a law firm situated in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the address 299 S Main St #1300, zip code 84111. As a listed entity in the Nearby Lawyers platform category, we aim to provide local users with detailed information about this firm, drawing from available online feedback to offer an objective perspective on their environment, services, and features.
Our Environment: Located in Downtown Salt Lake City
Kristopher K. Greenwood & Associates is located in a commercial building in the downtown area of Salt Lake City. The office is situated on the 13th floor, suggesting a professional environment within a multi-tenant building. While specific details about the firm’s internal office space are not readily available through general online searches, it is typical for law firms in such locations to maintain a professional and confidential setting for client consultations and work. Accessibility to the office would likely involve standard downtown access, including elevators and potentially nearby parking options. For specific details regarding the office ambiance and facilities, direct contact with the firm is recommended.
Legal Services Offered: Insights from Online Feedback
Based on the available online reviews, it appears that Kristopher K. Greenwood & Associates handles cases involving family law, particularly those concerning custody. One reviewer specifically mentioned the importance of having a competent attorney when custody is at risk. Another reviewer highlighted a positive experience with an attorney named Ally Jamerson within the firm, praising her communication skills, diligence, and effectiveness in achieving a favorable outcome in a civil procedure case. This suggests that the firm offers services in areas of litigation and civil procedure, at least through some of its associates.
However, it is crucial to also consider the negative feedback provided by another client. This review detailed concerns about billing practices, including charges for administrative tasks such as verifying email receipt and in-person payments. The client also expressed dissatisfaction with the level of representation received, particularly in a custody case, describing their attorney as "lazy" and "dishonest." This feedback raises potential concerns about case management, communication, and the value perceived by this particular client in relation to the fees charged. The reviewer ultimately decided to terminate their engagement with the firm and hire new counsel.
The firm's response to this negative feedback, as mentioned by the reviewer, stating that the individual was not their client, further adds to the complexity of understanding the client experience. The reviewer disputes this claim, asserting they were indeed a paying client. This discrepancy highlights potential issues with record-keeping or client communication, at least from this individual's perspective.
Given this mixed feedback, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive list of all service areas based solely on these reviews. However, we can infer that the firm handles family law matters, including custody disputes, and has experience in civil procedure and litigation. Prospective clients should directly inquire about the specific areas of law the firm handles and the experience of the attorneys who would be assigned to their case.
Features and Considerations: Based on Client Experiences
One notable feature highlighted in the positive review is the tenacity and dedication of attorney Ally Jamerson. The reviewer specifically praised her listening skills, serious consideration of concerns, proactive communication, knowledge of civil procedure and law, and her preparedness. This suggests that the firm may have individual attorneys who are highly competent and client-focused.
On the other hand, the negative review raises several potential concerns that prospective clients should consider:
- Billing Practices: The detailed breakdown of charges for administrative tasks may be a point of discussion and clarification for potential clients. Understanding the firm's billing structure, including retainer fees and hourly rates (mentioned as $400 in the review), is essential.
- Communication and Responsiveness: The negative review suggests a lack of proactivity and responsiveness from at least one attorney. In contrast, the positive review specifically praises Ally Jamerson's communication. This indicates a potential variability in client experience depending on the specific attorney assigned.
- Case Management and Attention: The description of the attorney as "slacker" and the feeling of being "laid down and took a beating" in a custody case are serious allegations that potential clients should weigh carefully.
- Organizational Issues: The discrepancy regarding the client's status, as mentioned in the negative review, could point to organizational challenges within the firm.
It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every client's interaction with Kristopher K. Greenwood & Associates. However, they provide valuable insights that local users should consider when evaluating their legal options.

However, the negative review raises significant concerns about billing practices, communication, and the level of representation in a custody case. Prospective clients should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging the firm. This may include:

What a terrible experience. Lower retainer fee, but the hourly fee is $400. I got charged for verifying emails were received, for checking up on my slacker attorney, I got billed for time taken when I visited the office to pay in person. I got charged for more administrative garbage than actual case work. This is an absolute money grab while my attorney basically laid down and took a beating any time I needed her. When custody is at risk, a lazy dishonest attorney is the WORST team mate to have. I absolutely regret any and all involvement I had with KKG. After getting the shaft for 6 months, getting charged at every turn, I fired my attorney and hired one from a different firm - that was the best decision I could have made. They now keep replying that I wasn't their client which further shows how disorganized and clueless this office is ran - they know exactly who I am and which case I paid for.
Ally Jamerson is the attorney you are looking for. The one who will listen, take your concerns seriously and call when you ask for a call. Even more important than her awesome communication is the fact that she is good at what she does. She will fight for you! I got what I was asking for in my case because she knew the rules of civil procedure, knew the law and did her homework. If she had not done that then I wouldn’t be where I am today. I read attorney reviews for an entire 6 hour road trip is how I found her. Her name kept coming up consistently as tenacious and a fighter. They were correct! Worth every penny!
Ally and her team was beyond amazing to work with during my child custody case. They all showed overwhelming support, understanding, and knowledge. She was the bulldog I needed in my corner to make sure my babies were safe and she exceeded all my expectations of an attorney. If you need any help in family court pick ally because she is literally one of the best. You won’t regret it.
Ally Jamerson was the perfect attorney for me. She was professional, understanding and had great communication. I always felt like she had my best interest in mind while also helping me be reasonable. Her paralegals were also great. All around, would highly recommend KKG and Ally!
Divorce is probably one of the most stressful times in someone's life. I was assigned Andrew Rawlings. My process took a while just because my former spouse and I tried to resolve things without lawyers. Andy was my legal counsel through all this with giving me excellent legal advice and being there just incase things went south. I retired from the military and had a pension I was concerned about. Fortunately, we both resolved this without the use of lawyers for the betterment of our children. Not once did I ever feel pressured to do anything by Andy. He advised me through anything that can happen. I would recommend this law office to anyone that is going through the unfortunate process that is divorce.
