The available reviews for King Lindsey PA, specifically referencing an attorney named Kemie King, present a concerning picture of the services provided. It is crucial for potential clients to carefully consider this feedback when making decisions about legal representation. The reviews highlight significant issues related to organization, communication, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
One reviewer describes a profoundly negative experience marked by disorganization and a lack of communication from Kemie King. The client reports difficulty in reaching her, with calls and messages going unanswered for extended periods. A particularly egregious incident involved a last-minute change regarding the format of a court date, causing significant inconvenience and appearing to stem from the attorney's lack of awareness. The reviewer also recounts arriving at court on time, only for Ms. King to show up twenty minutes late, only to then discover that the hearing was indeed via Zoom, contrary to the in-person notification. The client further details a highly unprofessional setup for the Zoom meeting in the courthouse lobby and alleges rude and interruptive behavior, ultimately leading to the termination of representation.
Another very brief review simply states, "Unorganized is an understatement," which aligns with the detailed account of disarray provided by the first reviewer. This reinforces the concern that organizational issues may be a recurring problem for clients of King Lindsey PA.
The third, and most extensive, review expresses "profound dissatisfaction and concern" regarding the conduct of Kemie King in her role as a Guardian Ad Litem appointed by the General Magistrate. This reviewer details a deeply troubling experience spanning several months, beginning in September 2022. The allegations include a lack of responsiveness despite a substantial retainer fee, repeated failures to return calls, and unjustified changes to scheduled visit dates. Most disturbingly, the reviewer claims that Ms. King requested personal gifts, specifically Chanel perfume and a Chanel purse, creating an unethical and coercive situation.
The review further alleges significant delays in a home visit, followed by what the client perceived as unnecessary requests and broken promises of follow-up. A bias in Ms. King's approach is also claimed, with a disproportionate focus on the other party's allegations and a lack of consideration for the reviewer's position and compliance efforts. The client also reports unprofessional and intrusive behavior in Ms. King's interactions with their former spouse, along with perceived favoritism. A critical point of concern is the alleged failure to act on a requested welfare check for the child involved in the case.
The reviewer also raises concerns about a lack of transparency and accountability, citing Ms. King's decision to forgo a written report in favor of an oral presentation at the final hearing. Additionally, the client claims a failure to be informed about crucial developments such as the child's relocation and school change, indicating a significant lack of professional responsibility and disregard for the client's involvement in the case.
Based on these overwhelmingly negative reviews, it is difficult to identify positive features or confidently describe the services and environment of King Lindsey PA. Kemie was very unorganized and non communicative. She was hard to reach, days or even a week would go by before returning calls or messages. The final straw before getting rid of her as my lawyer, came when she informed the night before my court date that she said was on zoom was now in person. Giving me a 13 hour notice and only because I reached out two days prior to verify that it was still a zoom meeting. I arrive at the courthouse for my 10:30am appointment, that she proceeds to show up 20 mins late for. All of this for my court date to actually be a zoom meeting that she was unaware of. She then sets us up on her phone in the middle of the lobby propped up against her water bottle. She continued to be rude and interrupt me several times to the point that I told her I would not like her to represent anymore. Unorganized is an understatement
Corrupt! Should be disbarred! She Definitely Doesn't Care About A Child's Best Interest. I am compelled to write this review to express my profound dissatisfaction and concern regarding the conduct of Guardian Ad Litem Kemie King, who was appointed in my case by the General Magistrate. My experience with Ms. King has been deeply troubling, and I believe it is essential to share these concerns for the benefit of others who may find themselves in a similar situation. Upon her appointment in September 2022, I hoped Ms. King would bring a fresh perspective to my ongoing custody case and help facilitate a fair and just outcome. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from this expectation. Despite paying a substantial retainer fee and making repeated efforts to engage with Ms. King, her responsiveness and professionalism have been severely lacking. She repeatedly failed to respond to my calls and changed scheduled visit dates without justification. More concerning was her request for personal gifts, such as Chanel perfume and Chanel purse, which I felt compelled to provide in the hope of advancing my case – a situation that should never arise in a professional setting. Ms. King's visit to my residence was delayed by months and, when it finally occurred, was marked by unnecessary requests and unfulfilled promises to return for follow-up. Her approach seemed unbalanced, focusing disproportionately on allegations from the Respondent/Mother's side without considering my position and efforts to comply with her requests. The bias in Ms. King's approach became more evident over time. Her interactions with my former spouse were marked by unprofessional and intrusive behavior, and her communications showed apparent favoritism toward the Respondent/Mother. This perceived bias was further compounded by her failure to act on significant issues, such as the welfare check I requested for my child. Perhaps most concerning was Ms. King's decision to forgo a written report in favor of an oral presentation at the final hearing, a move that seemed to lack transparency and accountability. This, coupled with her failure to inform me of crucial developments such as the child's relocation and school change, speaks to a troubling lack of professionalism and disregard for the responsibilities of her role. In conclusion, my experience with Guardian Ad Litem Kemie King has been deeply disheartening. Her conduct has not only failed to meet the standards of professionalism and impartiality expected in her role but has also added to the distress and complexity of an already challenging situation. I sincerely hope this review will serve as a caution to others.
While engaged in a three-year separation and grueling divorce process, I was recommended by one of the TOP South Florida criminal attorneys to "Kemie"! I retained Kemie after battling for two years with my ex! She made no promises but assured me that she would do her best to get me to the finish line. Most important to me, is that she was honest and realistic about what to expect in the end (good and bad), and we settled on an agreement that was fair! Kemie was ALWAYS available to address my concerns and I could call/text her directly, even after hours during an emergency. As a wife/mother herself, she understood and was emotionally vested in my case and the ongoing care of my children. While presenting my case, Kemie always took note of the devious tactics of the opposing counsel and the potential judicial responses. She "knew her audience" and she fashioned and targeted "our goals" step by step "as a team"! I was often at my breaking point, but she kept me encouraged, devised legal plans, coordinated hearings, and contacted expert witnesses (without my knowledge) all in an effort to fairly dissolve the marriage - and it ALL WORKED and we reached a settlement! Many attorneys have costly hourly rates, separate secretarial/legal assistant fees, and other "just because" fees. Not Kemie, her fees are MORE than fair, and I felt empowered in that I was getting a "team" service with every court/legal exchange. Ultimately, she's worth every penny! In the end, she was proactively clinched and ready for trial and because of her skillful approach and legal knowledge, my trial day actually turned into a "Dissolution of Marriage" date! Despite the dissolution, she was still bothered by some aspects of the settlement agreement, but I valued her continued support/concern. Neither my ex, nor his attorney showed ANY concern for my children. In fact, in three years I only received $1,300 in support and they wanted a REFUND in order to settle (petty)! I was so emotionally/financially drained and about to make an emotional decision and Kemie said "HELL NO"! She forced them into a settlement that made sense of cents and in the end, the peace of mind is priceless! She also devised a Parenting Plan that relieves me and my children of ongoing stress and control tactics from my ex! I can never thank Kemie enough - and all I can say is, "If you want divorce attorney who will allow you to be emotional; one who will translate your emotion into legal responses; and one who understands that kids' interests must be protected post-divorce"? Put Kemie on your team! From beginning to end, she totally understood the assignment. Until the very last court minute, she fought to protect and preserve the interests of me and my children with total integrity.
I retained Mrs King and the start of 2016 with the forethought that litigating in my divorce would be a complicated contested one. Mrs King's advised me that at the end of the case we should achieve the results that i wanted. I was actually surprised by how much communication was actually taken place between us. I think we spoke probably every other week, either she checked in and calmed my nerves or she had information that was valid. I would recommend Mrs King to Every and Any one who is in need of an Attorney.
If you're looking for a lawyer that communicates, always responds in a timely manner, educates you on any and all processes and timelines, speaks with you instead talking at you, and knows how to get the JOB DONE!!! Then you need to look no further Kemie King Esq. 2015 was an absolutely terrible legal year for me. Or at least it should have been. My separated "wife" was more concerned about collecting child support, instead going through with the divorce process because it would force a parenting plan. My cosmetically appealing condo in Coconut Creek turned out to be a moldy dud. I'm talking the dish washer flooded after the first use and water leaked from the A/C unit immediately. Twas not a good time. I sorted through so many reviews and met with so many attorneys. At this time, though, I've read every statute there is on divorce and parenting plans. I read every forum, reddit, anything with advice and tips on how things may shake out and how to go about things. However, every time I sat in front of an attorney and tried to discuss what I wanted, the conversations were impersonal and I always felt as though they were talking at me. I was fruatrated. Because I know, just like people, not all attorneys are created equal. So much so I just put the divorce on the back burner and just paid the support order and saw my sons on when I wasn't working a second job to keep up. Then I had this terrible condo situation where I wanted to break the lease and absolutely needed an attorney. I was referred to Kemie King. It was just pure dumb luck. I made a phone call to her line and she answered. Told her about my condo situation. She told me she normally works with landlords but was willing to work with me after hearing about the situation. It was about a month and half long process of my landlord trying to make a ton a stipulations for me to leave in agreement, before trying to secretly evict me. But Mrs. King kept warning me to keep an eye on notices and to keep an eye on public records because I no longer stayed in the condo; Also to take pictures and videos of all the mold and apartment issues. This is when I got to see first hand just how good and knowledgeable Mrs. King really was. She plays hard ball with the best of them. Seemed to bring out her best stuff. The back and forth between the landlords attorney and Ms. King was incredible. This is when I knew I was I was in good hands. Kemie King does not back down and coaches well on how to respond and when to remain silent. I got the Voluntary Dismissal to save my credit from any judgements and saved me from the eviction. During the eviction process, Mrs. King became aware of my situation with my separated wife. You could get the sense that she actually cares. We talked. Discussed the process. I found my divorce attorney. This time she was more tactical than I could have ever dreamed. I won't say a word about how she got me through this divorce so efficiently, because I won't dare share any of her tactics. I'm talking ZERO mitigation, only because I took her advice on how to communicate with my now ex-wife. If you listen to what Kemie says, and do it exactly as she says it, you can get things done. And most importantly, she listened to me and acknowledged my feedback. She worked with me and what I wanted. I got exactly what I wanted after Kemie set the expectaions. Mrs. King got the separation done. Got the parenting plan done with 50/50 time sharing. When that was done, went right after the Department of Revenue to get the support order modified. Again, Kemie King does not back down and did her best work when contested. Thank you, Kemie!!
