Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP appears to focus its practice on areas related to the rental housing industry and real estate law. This specialization suggests that their services are primarily geared towards landlords, property owners, and potentially property management companies. Their expertise likely encompasses a range of legal issues commonly encountered in these sectors, such as lease agreements, eviction proceedings, tenant disputes, fair housing compliance, and other related matters.
Given their focus, local users such as landlords needing assistance with lease enforcement or eviction processes, property managers seeking guidance on legal compliance, or real estate developers requiring legal counsel might find their services relevant. The firm's location in San Diego makes them a potentially convenient option for those operating within the local real estate market.
However, it is important for prospective clients to conduct thorough due diligence when considering any legal representation. Reviews available online can offer insights into the experiences of past clients, although they should be considered as individual perspectives. The provided reviews offer a mixed picture of interactions with the firm.
One review details a frustrating experience related to a tenant's situation involving a move-out fee and a broken lease. The reviewer expresses confusion and dissatisfaction with the communication between the legal department (presumably Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP, representing the apartment complex) and the apartment office. The core of the complaint revolves around a perceived lack of coordination and the imposition of fees that the reviewer believes are unfair given the circumstances surrounding the lease termination related to an emotional support animal. This review raises concerns about communication effectiveness and the practical application of legal advice in real-world scenarios.
Another review focuses on an interaction with an individual named Daniel McCandless. The reviewer describes the interaction as "not very pleasant," citing "brusque, one-word answers" and a lack of memory regarding the outcome of a previous case. The reviewer also mentions that their aunt had a similarly negative experience with the same individual, describing him as "very rude." This feedback raises concerns about the interpersonal skills and professionalism of at least one individual within the firm, as well as potential issues with client communication and attention to detail.
It is crucial to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of the firm's overall service quality. However, they highlight areas that potential clients may wish to explore further when considering Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP. It would be prudent to seek additional information, such as testimonials or references, and to have a direct consultation with the firm to assess their suitability for specific legal needs.
As a platform for "Nearby Lawyers," it is our aim to provide objective information to help local users make informed decisions. While Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is physically located in San Diego and appears to specialize in areas relevant to the local rental housing and real estate market, the available reviews suggest a need for potential clients to carefully evaluate their specific requirements and communication preferences. Engaging in a direct conversation with the firm will allow individuals to gauge their responsiveness, understanding of the client's situation, and overall professionalism.
When seeking legal representation, it is always recommended to inquire about the attorney's experience in handling similar cases, their communication style, the firm's fee structure, and any other factors that are important to the individual or business. While the location of Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP at 7676 Hazard Center Dr offers convenience for many in San Diego, the quality of legal service and client experience should be the primary considerations.
For users specifically looking for lawyers specializing in landlord-tenant law or real estate in the San Diego vicinity, Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is a local option. However, given the feedback presented in the reviews, it is advisable to approach them with specific questions about their experience in handling cases similar to yours and to assess their communication and client service approach firsthand. Contacting them at (619) 234-1690 or +1 619-234-1690 would be the first step in this evaluation process.
In conclusion, Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is a law firm located in San Diego, specializing in landlord-tenant and real estate law. While their location may be convenient for local users in these sectors, prospective clients should be aware of the mixed feedback regarding client communication and service and are encouraged to conduct their own thorough evaluation before engaging their services.

So I trying to hold on to this legal department regarding my situation with the Terrace Apartment in Santa Clarita. The office has been notified that I have to pay a move out fee and some other fees, even though this legal department sent me a document stating that I have to move out if I don’t remove out my emotional support dog. However they going to break our lease. So we moved out with our dog. Now the office wanted us to pay a broken lease which is not fair and I don’t understand isn’t the legal department and the office they have to have a communication between them. Now the office wants me to contact this department and have resent me all the documents so I can take them to them. Is this legal department is a scam or a joke . If they don’t resolve me I have to contact LA county house authority or a civil right department
I spoke to Daniel McCandless this morning - he was not very pleasant. I found his name through a case he had worked on previously and I asked him about that case. He provided very brusque, one word answers and he said the case was long - "it took 6-7 months" and that he "doesn't remember the outcome of the case". I was inquiring about the case because my aunt is unfortunately experiencing something similar. I told my aunt about my conversation with him, and she said she had reached out to him previously as well and that he was very rude to her. I'd steer clear of this guy. In addition to the fact that he is just a mean individual, he is also seemingly incompetent if he doesn't remember (or even try to look into) how one of his own cases ended.
Wish I could give zero stars. This place charges interest on move out expenses from apartment communities. They literally try and burden people even more in times when they are struggling. They never even sent a breakdown of what I owed and why. Just shady and anyone who works here needs to take a hard look at their livelihood.
Extremely fraudulent company. 40k was put on my husbands and I credit report neither me or our lawyer have been able to reach them by phone nor have we received a written response after sending 3 letters. I look forward to this company having its day in court and being dismantled. Terrible business practices
This company has recently sent me a $28,000 collection account under my name, even though I was no longer involved with the business after 2016. From 2011 to 2016, I was part of a lease agreement, but after my partner and I parted ways, I never signed new lease and I had no further association with business. I believe this is a fraudulent action by the Kimball, Tirey & St John LLP collection agency and their over 100 crooks attorney gang, and I am planning to initiate a class-action lawsuit against them. If anyone else has faced a similar issue with this unethical collection agency, please reach out so we can build a stronger case together. Different collection firm also tried but when they found out the truth that owner of the complex is crook and fraud so they drop their business ( See my google review and update on prior collection company)as a customer and now we have this crooks trying to collect without any solid evidence.
