Worst attorneys I have ever hired in my life do not use them for any kind of child custody matters It was like McKenzie was literally working for my son’s grandparents. She helped them take away what little parenting time I had. I complied with every single order that was given to me. I passed the 90 day hair follicle test that I had to pay $500 out-of-pocket for I completed rehab IOP and OP instead of giving me back joint custody The judge threw another stack of orders at me which included another $500 hair follicle test a six hour anchor management At that court date The only visitation I was granted was two hours on a Wednesday Afternoon and four hours on Sunday I live in Virginia. They wanted me to come all the way to New Jersey To only get six hours of visitation, but by that time between the $5000 This firm stole from me And all the money I spent with the other things I had to pay for I was flat broke and was given less than a To comply with All the other orders I was given so when court came I hadn’t been able to do what they asked of me Now the only visitation I can get is 3 15 minute phone calls a week I now have to move back to New Jersey take another hair follicle test immediately after I arrive there I have to pay for Counseling/parenting classes. I have to do an anger management class Again, all of this I have To pay out-of-pocket And now since they are claiming I used up my whole $5000 retainer On the whole two court dates They represented me in I have no attorney And have to file for visitation again on my own. Every time the judge gave her a chance to speak She did not argue for me whatsoever With everything they said, since I hired her, I was not myself at all She pretty much just sat there quiet as I got Railroaded. Meanwhile My son‘s mother who has went to Rehab Four times in the last year now gets to live with my son When she is the one who caused all of this to begin with. Her parents allowed her To live in their house, share a room with my son who was four years old at the time and smoke crack in the room with him. They didn’t care what she did until she emptied $1000 Out of her mom’s bank account Using Cash app to pay her drug dealers Who are gang bangers Her stepfather found a way to reverse the Charges took all of the money back from the Drug dealers so then they were threatening to shoot up the house where my son lives At which point her actual dad Had to pay the drug dealers back. They wouldn’t bring my son To a dentist, even though I repeatedly told them he was way overdue And was literally crying in pain every single day for months By the time they did take him to the dentist he needed $6000 worth of work done And the only reason they brought him Was so I couldn’t use it against them in court. She also gave him fetal alcohol syndrome because she drank entire bottles of fireball and 30 beers at a time As well as smoked crack through her entire pregnancy. Now she is Back living with my son has no job Does absolutely Nothing with my son her parents watch him all day He has no stability. They bounced him back-and-forth between two households All they give him to drink is Arizona green tea with caffeine and ginger And Coca-Cola He bounces off the walls all day he punches and kicks His grandparents he hits kids at school Flips tables and throws chairs And these people have the audacity to blame me for his behavioral issues What the court and my son’s Grandparents are putting him and I through is absolutely horrific Of course my luck I hired the worst attorney possible And have to fight this case on my own from here on out They also cut my family off from him completely Not only are they using my son as a weapon to hurt me and my family they are punishing him because they are hateful sociopath and they enjoy hurting him and I and punishing him just because he’s my son. Charged $675 to read 10 pages charged $1000 to upload 1 page of my drug test results and “prepare” for hearing what does that even mean? Did she have to do stretches and warm up? She did absolutely nothing in court

Do not use Mackenzie. She was a horrible divorce lawyer for my partner. Months would go by without anything being done. Phone calls not returned. When it came to mediation finally, she did nothing to prepare him. She never told him anything that was going to be discussed. They never discussed anything prior to mediation about what they were gonna settle for and when mediation finally happened he was completely blown away. Most of the things that were even put on the table, his attorney had never discussed with him or given him a heads up. He had to make decisions on the spot that affect the rest of his life without any help or counsel from her. She barely gave him any advice, just kept pushing him to settle so that he could finally be divorced. In the end he got totally screwed. Not sure about the rest of the firm but don’t use her.

...0 stars. DO NOT USE this law firm if you are looking for any type of help. They are extremely unprofessional, communication with clients are non existent, scamming people. They do not respond to voicemails, emails, etc until they feel like it. They do not show up to court. but they will be happy to take your money In the beginning. I wasted $3100 on this terrible law firm, with no solution to my original issue. They made it worse honestly. I can go on and on. Please please please yourself a favor, find an other law firm.

My son hired this law firm, and let me tell you, they are terrible. They can't be bothered to get back to you in a timely fashion if at all. They want you to do all the work while they sit back and relax. They don't advocate for you. They have the " it is what it is" mentality. They should just retire and stop taking people's money that they really don't have.

Winters lies,A LOT. Stay far far away if you don’t want to be 500 grand in debt and have gotten no help at all. MUCH “better” lawyers out there than her…. I don’t like to talk bad about people, I am saying this to you to be weary and to do your own research to save you and others from harm.

In the legal profession, direct "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional retail sense are uncommon due to ethical guidelines and the nature of legal services. However, firms may offer initial consultations, which serve a similar purpose by allowing potential clients to discuss their case without an immediate financial commitment. This initial meeting can be invaluable for both parties:
- Free Initial Consultation: Many law firms, including those in New Jersey, offer a complimentary initial consultation. This allows prospective clients to meet with an attorney, discuss the specifics of their legal issue, and get a preliminary assessment of their case without incurring a fee. It's an opportunity to gauge the attorney's approach and for the attorney to determine if they can effectively assist the client.
- Sliding Scale Fees: While not a promotion, some firms may offer a sliding scale fee structure for certain types of cases, depending on a client's financial situation. This is more common in legal aid or pro bono services but can sometimes be a consideration for private firms under specific circumstances.
- Contingency Fees: For personal injury or similar cases where monetary damages are sought, some firms operate on a contingency fee basis. This means the attorney's fees are a percentage of the final settlement or award, and the client typically doesn't pay upfront. This allows individuals who might not have immediate funds to pursue legal action.
