Jason Steen Introduce
Welcome to the Nearby Lawyers platform, your local resource for information on legal professionals. Today, we present information regarding Jason Steen, an attorney with an address listed at 741 SW Lincoln St in Portland, OR 97201, USA. It is important to note that the following introduction is based solely on the publicly available client reviews provided in the query. These reviews present a critical perspective on the services reported by individuals who have interacted with Jason Steen's legal practice.
Based on the feedback from two individuals who identify as having been clients of Jason Steen, there appear to be significant concerns regarding communication and the handling of their cases. One reviewer states that Mr. Steen "never ever call you back." This lack of responsiveness is a serious concern for clients who rely on their attorney for updates, guidance, and communication regarding their legal matters. The same reviewer also alleges that there was an attempt to "force you into plea bargain even though from day one you told them investigate my side." This suggests a potential dissatisfaction with the level of investigation and advocacy provided, with the client feeling pushed towards a resolution that did not align with their desired legal strategy.
Further critical allegations from this reviewer include the claim that after discovering proof of a "cop lied," Mr. Steen's office "refuse to interview any witnesses after 2 years." If accurate, this raises serious questions about the thoroughness of the investigation and the commitment to exploring all available evidence in the client's defense. The reviewer also mentions filing complaints independently and alleges that "They and the court have refused ADA accomadation s," as well as a refusal to provide guidance on potential civil rights violations by sheriffs.
The second review echoes the concern about lack of communication, stating that Mr. Steen "Never called me back which as my state appointed attorney got me arrested for failure to show." The context suggests that the client was pardoned from appearing for a previous court date but claims that Mr. Steen failed to inform them of a subsequent court date, leading to an arrest. The reviewer notes that it has been a month since attempting to contact Mr. Steen, with "still no call back." This repeated assertion of a failure to communicate is a significant point of concern raised by these clients.
Given these serious allegations, it is challenging to provide a positive introduction or highlight typical "features" or "services" in a promotional sense. Instead, it is crucial for local users to be aware of this feedback as part of their due diligence process when considering legal representation. The "environment" of Jason Steen's practice, based on this limited information, appears to be characterized by significant communication issues and a potential lack of thorough investigation and client advocacy, at least according to these two reviewers.
It is important to acknowledge that these are individual accounts and may not represent the entirety of Jason Steen's practice. However, the consistency in the complaint about a lack of communication is noteworthy. Potential clients should consider these reviews carefully and conduct further investigation before making any decisions about legal representation.
In the absence of any positive feedback or information about specific services offered, it is impossible to objectively describe the "services" or "features" of Jason Steen's practice in a positive light. Based solely on the provided reviews, potential issues appear to include:
- Lack of Communication: Multiple reports of failing to return calls and keep clients informed.
- Alleged Pressure to Accept Plea Bargains: Claims of being pushed towards a plea without adequate investigation of the client's side.
- Concerns Regarding Investigation: Allegations of refusing to interview witnesses even after exculpatory evidence was discovered.
- Difficulties with Accommodations: A claim of refusal to facilitate ADA accommodations.
- Lack of Guidance on Related Legal Issues: An allegation of refusing to advise on potential civil rights violations.
The address provided, 741 SW Lincoln St in Portland, OR, indicates a physical location for Jason Steen's practice. However, the environment within this office and the standard procedures followed are not described in the reviews. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the reported interactions (or lack thereof) between the attorney and the clients.
Given the nature of the provided information, it would be inappropriate to offer any form of "promotional information." Instead, the objective introduction must focus on presenting the available feedback to allow local users to make their own informed decisions.
For local users in Portland seeking legal representation, particularly in criminal defense (given the context of the reviews mentioning plea bargains, failure to appear, and alleged police misconduct), it is strongly recommended to thoroughly investigate and consider all available options. The feedback regarding Jason Steen raises significant concerns about communication, case handling, and client advocacy. Potential clients should seek additional information, such as reviews from other sources, disciplinary records (if any), and direct consultations with multiple attorneys to compare their approaches and communication styles.
In conclusion, the available information regarding Jason Steen, based on the provided client reviews, highlights serious concerns about a lack of communication, alleged pressure to accept plea bargains without thorough investigation, and other issues related to case management and client service. Local users in Portland should carefully consider this feedback and conduct comprehensive due diligence when exploring their options for legal representation. Contacting the attorney directly for an explanation and seeking perspectives from other sources are strongly advised before making a decision.

Never ever call you back. Try to force you into plea bargain even though from day one you told them investigate my side. You find out cop lied and there's proof, they refuse to interview any witnesses after 2 years. I've filed complains by my self. They and the court have refused ADA accomadation s. I've asked about what to do about civil rights violations by sheriff's and they refuse to tell me.
Never called me back which as my state appointed attorney got me arrested for failure to show. I was pardoned for showing for my court date that would be without doubt set over and when I called him to check in on my case he never contacted me back and no one from his office let me know when my next court date was after I was pardoned from appearing so I had no clue. It’s been a month, still no call back.
Very good attorney helped me out in my case 🙂
