I met with Mr. Huang back in 2019 when I was applying for permanent residence. He was very professional and knowledgeable about immigration matters, so the very initial conversation convinced me to retain him as the attorney for my case. And it turned out that my decision was right. After years of delay from USCIS, my case was finalized reviewed and approved my the field office recently. During the interview prep, Mr. Huang was very detailed and offered brilliant ideas and strategies for my case. He was punctual on the interview day and was very helpful in interacting with the interviewer. He charges by the hour but I think it's worth it as you would benefit a lot from the discussion. His assistant Abby and Florence was also very helpful. Especially Abby, we talked a few times during the case pending period and she was always happy to help and answer any questions. I would highly recommend this law office to anyone needs help with immigration related matters!

Where do I even begin with this review. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!! But to tell our story of why...We hired Daniel Huang to prepare and file an I-212 Waiver on behalf of my fiancé who was barred from re-entry for 5 years. We had previously been working with another immigration attorney and we preferred to move our case to Haven Law Group upon recommendations from a close friend. When we met Daniel he seemed very knowledgable. We soon determined that Daniel is an intelligent lawyer but also EXTREMELY manipulative and prays on his client's vulnerabilities. If you have been dragged through the US immigration system you know how scary it can be and Daniel was be our sherpa, our guide but he did nothing but attempt to squeeze us for money and lead us in circles while padding his bill from $6,000 up to $40,000 for one I-212 form. When my fiancé and I started to realize Daniel was leading us in circles we searched everywhere for other sources for help- all the while we knew it would be even more expensive and possibly add more time to our case if we switched lawyers again so essentially we were trapped with him. Fortunately we found FaceBook groups specific to immigration with people just like us who were doing their forms themselves without legal aide! These groups were tremendously helpful and gave hope that perhaps we could do this ourselves and get my fiancé home without Daniel. By this time we had paid Daniel $11,000 and not received the form we paid for. When it was time for my fiancé to attend his interview at the US embassy, Daniel had promised (and written in our contract) that he would give us the I-212 waiver before the interview so he could walk in with it ready to submit. The day prior to the interview Daniel said he would give it to us once a new "final" bill was paid in full- asking for an additional $26,000 cash wired to his bank account!!! WHAT!!!!!! He was holding our I-212 waiver for ransom! The original contract was for $6,000 (well above other attorneys already for the same assistance) and we had paid him an added $5,000 already with nothing to show. With the help of the FaceBook groups I had quietly been preparing my own I-212 Waiver just in the event Daniel pulled something like this. We then decided to fire him and brave this system alone. Now out $11,000 with no waiver- we wrote the things ourselves! Without Daniel's legal assistance- my fiancé and I successfully prepared not only the I-212 Waiver but also an I-601 Waiver and two RFE's! We also learned how to use our congress people to help with expedites and much more. Our presumed $40,000 lawyer never helped with any of that only gave us the run around for months while mounting up his fees! It physically pains me recalling working with Daniel and conversations with his team of Abby and Frank. The anxiety was through the roof and frustration knowing Daniel was not paying attention to our case. When I was able to speak to him I began having panic attacks almost daily before we came to the conclusion to fire him and do our waiver on our own. I know not all cases are as straight forward as ours so lawyers are needed in some cases. The US immigration system is terrifying to navigate alone but believe in yourself and ask lots of questions!! If I could have Haven Law Group disbanded and disbarred I would! I will continue to expose him so no one else has to go through what my family and I had to. Daniel Huang is not only UNPROFESSIONAL but also UNETHICAL as his duty should be to his client's best interests rather than his bank account's. My fiancé was approved his Visa and returned to our family in January this year after being away for over two years. We are happily married and living each day grateful for having the strength to weather the storm!

I am really lucky and blessed to have chosen this firm for my immigration case. Atty Daniel has been thorough and precise on all the details needed for my case. Kudos also to Ms. Abby for being caring/proactive as she constantly follows up with me for what's needed etc. Great team! I strongly recommend to everyone who needs immigration support.

My family's experience with Daniel Huang and his team was an immigration nightmare! My sister and her husband hired Mr. Huang in 2020 to write and submit an I-212 waiver. Simply put- Daniel Huang, did not uphold his professional duty to use due diligence in furthering their best interests under the laws. After working with him for a few months and not seeing any work on the waiver it was becoming clear Daniel was billing for completely unnecessary items irrelevant to their case and blatant time padding! On top of that Daniel and his firm would refuse to speak with them at crucial times in their case until they wired more money to him, this is unethical and unacceptable! I watched my sister struggle for months to keep herself and her family together; two elementary school children and all alone without her husband... all the while having to be at the mercy of this despicable man who should have been protecting them and helping their case- absolutely awful!! In the end he took over $11,000 from their family and never did produce the waiver they needed- they ended up doing it themselves! He refuses to refund their money and kept it for work he never did! DO NOT HIRE HIM!

Terrible attitude with the office staff. We drove down there by no choice. The staff promised to send us the application and agreement. We was waiting. Now, six months after, but still nothing. We thought that they were beyond professional. But, instead, we were treated un-professionally. We wasted the time, money and energy. I am done with them!! I found a new agent, they are beyond professional.

About Haven Law Group, APC
Within the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category, we present Haven Law Group, APC, a law firm located at 1111 Corporate Center Dr #106 in Monterey Park, California. This location serves individuals in Monterey Park and surrounding communities seeking legal assistance, primarily in the complex field of immigration law. The office in a corporate center suggests a professional environment where clients can discuss their immigration matters with legal counsel.
Based on the available online reviews, the services offered by Haven Law Group, APC, are primarily focused on immigration law. One positive review mentions assistance with a permanent residence application, indicating expertise in this area. The client specifically praises Mr. Huang's knowledge of immigration matters and the firm's assistance in navigating delays with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The review also highlights Mr. Huang's detailed interview preparation and strategic advice, as well as the helpfulness of his assistants, Abby and Florence.
However, another, significantly more detailed review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This client hired Daniel Huang of Haven Law Group to prepare and file an I-212 Waiver. The account describes initial impressions of Mr. Huang as knowledgeable but quickly shifts to allegations of manipulative behavior and prioritizing billing over the client's best interests. The client claims that the initial fee estimate for the I-212 waiver significantly increased, and they felt led in circles without receiving the promised form despite substantial payments.
This detailed negative review further alleges that Mr. Huang held the I-212 waiver for ransom, demanding a large additional payment just before the client's fiancé's visa interview. Ultimately, the client decided to fire Haven Law Group and, with the help of online immigration support groups, successfully prepared the I-212 Waiver, an I-601 Waiver, and responded to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) on their own. The client explicitly states that they received no assistance with these crucial steps from Haven Law Group despite paying a considerable sum.
The contrasting reviews present a complex picture. A feature highlighted in the positive review is Mr. Huang's perceived knowledge and professionalism in immigration matters, particularly concerning permanent residence applications and interview preparation. The detailed and strategic advice provided in that specific case is also noted as a benefit. The helpfulness of the support staff, Abby and Florence, is also mentioned positively.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the firm's client management practices, billing transparency, and ethical conduct. The allegations of manipulation, excessive billing, and withholding crucial documents are significant issues that potential clients should consider. The client's experience of successfully navigating complex immigration procedures without the firm's assistance, after paying a substantial amount, is a critical point raised in their feedback.
Given the highly divergent experiences shared in these reviews, it is challenging to present definitive promotional information. The positive review suggests competence in handling permanent residence cases and providing detailed guidance. However, the negative review serves as a strong caution, alleging unethical behavior and financial exploitation. Potential clients should carefully weigh these contrasting accounts.
The fact that the firm operates as a professional corporation (APC) indicates a specific legal structure for legal practices in California. This structure generally signifies that the firm is comprised of licensed attorneys practicing law.
For individuals considering Haven Law Group, APC, it is strongly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence. This includes seeking additional reviews from various sources, if available, and carefully considering the details and allegations presented in the existing feedback. It would also be prudent to have a detailed discussion about fees, scope of work, and communication protocols before retaining their services. Asking for a clear and written agreement outlining the services to be provided and the associated costs is essential.
To gain further clarity and understand the firm's perspective, contacting Haven Law Group, APC, directly at (323) 318-2601 or mobile at +1 323-318-2601 would be the next logical step for anyone considering their services. This would provide an opportunity to ask specific questions about their experience in the relevant area of immigration law and to discuss the firm's client service approach and fee structure. However, in light of the strong negative feedback, proceeding with caution and seeking multiple opinions may be advisable.
In conclusion, Haven Law Group, APC, located in Monterey Park, California, appears to specialize in immigration law. While one client review expresses satisfaction with their services in a permanent residence case, another provides a detailed and highly critical account alleging significant issues with billing practices and ethical conduct in a waiver application. Potential clients in the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough research before making a decision regarding legal representation from this firm. Direct communication is advised, but caution and seeking diverse perspectives are warranted given the information available.
