Elder Law Services of California Introduce

For local users in Torrance, California, and the surrounding areas seeking specialized legal assistance for seniors and their families, Elder Law Services of California, located at 1609 Cravens Ave, offers a dedicated resource within the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category. Based on a combination of highly positive and significantly negative customer reviews found online, this introduction aims to provide a balanced and objective overview of the firm's potential environment, services, key features, and overall reputation within the local legal community, urging potential clients to consider all feedback carefully.

While the reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the client experience, the positive account suggests a caring and efficient environment, particularly when dealing with urgent and sensitive situations. One client expressed immense gratitude, stating, "My family greatly appreciated the law service that Judd, Sergio and Robin provided my brother and his estate before his passing. They traveled to the hospital, explained everything accurately, expedited the process due to his health and secured my brother's estate. The trust that was generated is securing his whole estate just as he willed. This couldn't have been done any better." This testimonial highlights a responsive and accommodating service, with the team willing to travel to a client in need, provide clear explanations, and act swiftly to secure their legal affairs. The successful establishment of a trust that honored the deceased's wishes speaks to their expertise in estate planning.

However, a starkly contrasting review paints a picture of a negative and unprofessional experience. This detailed account describes an encounter marked by rudeness, intrusive questioning from a staff member, a feeling of being treated like a criminal for assisting a friend, and a confrontational interaction with an attorney. The reviewer recounted, "I called over a week later and was told that the lawyer was let go by the rudest secretary I have ever spoken to. She asked why I paid for his legal consultation. MANY PERSONAL QUESTIONS. I had to return to have another intake done. This time I was told to 'wait in the lobby!'. I watched as the attorney and secretary led my friend down a hallway. I said wait a minute 'he is with me, I drove him here!' He doesn't know these people. I was wondering what they were doing. The attorney got up in my face and yelled at me that he was going to call social services on me. FOR WHAT? CALL ON ME???? DO YOU THINK I WANT HIM THROWN IN A RESTHOME? I did nothing wrong. He was leaving his home to his kids who he said would have him removed from life if he went back home. I was treated like a criminal in this law firm and never deserved this. I will never go back to this place again. They treat anyone who brings a friend into a law firm like a criminal. I am outraged by the 'yelling in my face'." This lengthy and emotional review raises serious concerns about the firm's client service, particularly in how they interact with individuals assisting potential clients.

Based on these divergent accounts, the services offered by Elder Law Services of California likely include:

  • Estate Planning: Assisting individuals in creating wills and trusts to manage their assets and ensure their wishes are followed.

There is no promotional information available in the provided data. Potential clients will need to weigh the positive feedback regarding the firm's legal competence and responsiveness in certain situations against the serious allegations of unprofessional and hostile behavior described in the negative review. It is crucial to consider that individual experiences can vary, and it may be beneficial to seek further information or consult with the firm directly to form a comprehensive understanding.

For local users in Torrance and surrounding areas searching within the "Nearby Lawyers" category for elder law services, Elder Law Services of California offers a practice focused on the legal needs of seniors. However, the contrasting client experiences suggest the importance of careful consideration and potentially seeking additional feedback or clarification before engaging their services. The positive review highlights their ability to handle sensitive estate planning matters efficiently and compassionately, while the negative review raises significant concerns about their client interactions.

To gain a more complete understanding of the environment and client service at Elder Law Services of California, potential clients may wish to contact them directly at (800) 403-6078 or +1 800-403-6078 to discuss their specific needs and assess whether the firm's approach aligns with their expectations. It would also be prudent to seek additional reviews or references if possible to gain a broader perspective on the experiences of other clients.

In conclusion, Elder Law Services of California in Torrance offers legal services tailored to the needs of seniors, with demonstrated competence in areas like estate planning and trust establishment. However, the presence of a highly negative review detailing serious concerns about client treatment necessitates careful consideration by potential clients. While one account praises their compassionate and efficient service, another describes unprofessional and hostile interactions. Local users seeking "Nearby Lawyers" for elder law services should weigh this contrasting feedback and consider contacting the firm directly for more information before making a decision.

A friend of mine of over a decade was abandoned by his family. The man was starving to death eating fruit from his trees. I contacted his family in another country, only to be blocked! 5 months later a relative reluctantly wants to take him over. She brought over a pot of beans and we didn't see her for 3 weeks. She said she would be there but left the country for Lebanon. Prior to that it was 5 months earlier! She kept looking for his passport on her once every two months visit. He has lived here 30 years! He had no one to take him to his doctor, so I stepped up along with my sister to cook and clean and buy chicken food and all the things he needed. He also needed high blood pressure medicine. Months and months and no ones coming! Oh my God. He loves his home and chickens. He is afraid of his country as his lifestyle is not like theirs. Is she going to send him to the country he fled from so many years ago? He asked about his house being taken by not paying taxes and said he never got a trust done. I told him he should do that before he got too forgetful . I took him to Elder Law. The attorney was spectacular. He walked him through the process. I called over a week later and was told that the lawyer was let go by the rudest secretary I have ever spoken to. She asked why I paid for his legal consultation. MANY PERSONAL QUESTIONS. I had to return to have another intake done. This time I was told to " wait in the lobby!". I watched as the attorney and secretary led my friend down a hallway. He was leaving his home to his kids who he said would have him removed from life if he went back home. I was treated like a criminal in this law firm and never deserved this. I will never go back to this place again. They treat anyone who brings a friend into a law firm like a criminal. I am outraged by the "yelling in my face". When I explained to my friend what this lawyer said to me, he said "If I would have known, I would have let them have it!" Never again! I am still very upset over this treatment. They are absolutely rude to people and accusers of hideous acts that I had no intentions of doing! I strongly advise that if you have a friend who needs legal advice, don't make the same mistake I did. When my friend came out, the attorney handed me my check back and said in rude tone "he needs to see a doctor". Fine." HE WILL. " I said as I was still shaking physically from the incident ! I am really sad and disheartened.

They are only interested in your money and will provide the minimum amount of services for what they charge you as a retainer. I met with attorney Judd Matsunaga, who makes a lot of promises such as "We are here for you all the way through the process", etc. , which I figured was probably only half-true, but which turned out to be almost completely false. I'm giving them two stars because they did qualify my mother for Medi-Cal (granted, with a $1,500 per month deductible which basically makes it unusable except for emergencies), and they got all the names right on the power of attorney forms. Other than that, they did nothing. When I contacted them and said that my mother would like me to be her authorized representative so I could advocate on her behalf rather than them (since they do nothing), which means they could no longer charge a yearly retainer basically to fill out the paperwork, they became rather unhelpful. They didn't even provide the requested authorized representative paperwork (rather they sent my mother a letter saying you can find the forms on the Medi-Cal website, which you can't). My mother is disabled by a stroke and in a wheelchair. My feeling is that they just want to get a look at people's assets so that they can sweet talk them into other services, and that is what they use the Medi-Cal authorization process to do.

I posted months ago after my Mother gave me Ol'Judd's name. She was getting very nervous surrounding the circumstances of my Baachan's death. They have been dodging me at every turn. I just wanted to further document this classless excuse of law and life. Welcome to California and sketchy lawyers that are harder to find than a ghost. Just hide behind legal terminology with a silly secretary without a law degree. She admitted it, and it was obvious she was trying to do her best law and order impersonation.

This is who Judd and my mother teamed up with to get me out of the way...along with both brothers. Very racist individual, you can see the respect their team had for both of my Grandmother's dead bodies well after their deaths. Wonderful lives and women, it is a shame what you did to them in their final days. It is a shame that you continue to drag their names and images through the mudd long after their deaths. The team with Judd did it all for a little bit of money. You must not believe in an afterlife, because the things that would come to those individuals on that team would be unimaginable. Have a Merry X Mas, you all know what you did. Keep running from the truth.
