If you are looking for a defense attorney who will give your case the time, attention, and care it deserves, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Daniel Ross represented my mother in a criminal case, and his level of neglect and lack of professionalism was deeply concerning. From the beginning, it was clear that he had not done any meaningful research on her case. On the day of sentencing, he actually asked my mother if she had ever been arrested before—something that should have been known from the very start. He failed to secure an expert witness to testify about the effects of a prescribed medication that played a major role in the situation, and instead of focusing on the facts of what led to her arrest, he chose to highlight her past history with addiction—irrelevant and damaging in a sentencing context. Worse yet, during the sentencing hearing, he asked her friends and family questions that were so shallow and disconnected from the case that ended up making her look worse in the judge’s eyes. It felt like he was going through the motions, doing the bare minimum. We later found out that he was also defending a multimillionaire client at the same time—someone who was obviously paying him far more. It became painfully obvious that my mother’s case took a back seat simply because it wasn't as lucrative. Rather than give each client the fair and competent representation they deserve, Daniel Ross appears to prioritize his income over his integrity. To make matters worse, after being fired, he made false statements to the court during the appeal process, further proving that accountability and ethics are not part of how he operates. I don’t take lightly the decision to write a review like this, but people deserve to know the truth before putting their future in his hands. Sadly, my mother did—and she received the maximum sentence.
Daniel J. Ross represented a friend. He failed to meet his professional, ethical and contractual obligations.. Examples of his misconduct included: repeated failure to communicate, unnecessary number of continuances without informing his client, funds entrusted to him not properly accounted for, retaliatory behaviors/actions taken against his client when concerns were voiced. Response to Mr. Ross- Not a fraudulent account, true & accurate review and your claim of extortion is completely false. No fear.
