However, it is crucial to consider the available customer reviews to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the experiences of individuals who have interacted with the organization. One review raises significant concerns regarding the knowledge and qualifications of at least one individual representing Catholic Legal Services. The reviewer recounts meeting with Emilio Garcia, who they claim was "uninformed about the laws" and provided advice contrary to that received from two other attorneys. The review further states that Mr. Garcia is not an attorney and holds a basic degree, but is presented online as a representative. This feedback suggests a potential issue with the quality of legal advice or representation provided by this individual.
Another review expresses dissatisfaction with the financial aspects of the services, stating, "It's all business what you do, you were asked to pay a lot of money." This comment may indicate that, despite being a non-profit, Catholic Legal Services charges fees for some of their services, or that the perceived cost was high for the client. It is important for potential clients to inquire about fees and payment structures upfront to avoid any misunderstandings.
Given the limited positive feedback and the serious concerns raised in the negative reviews, local users in the "Nearby Lawyers" category considering Catholic Legal Services should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence. It is advisable to:
- Inquire specifically about the qualifications and credentials of the individuals who will be providing legal advice or representation.
- Clearly understand the scope of services offered and whether they align with your specific legal needs.
- Discuss fees and payment arrangements transparently before engaging their services.
- Seek additional opinions or information from other legal resources in the Miami area to make a well-informed decision.
While Catholic Legal Services may aim to provide valuable assistance to the community, the available customer feedback highlights potential issues regarding the knowledge of representatives and the cost of services. Therefore, local users should approach with careful consideration and seek to verify the qualifications and expertise of those offering legal guidance.
In conclusion, Catholic Legal Services, located in Miami, Florida, is a non-profit organization that likely focuses on providing legal aid to vulnerable populations, particularly in areas such as immigration law. While their mission may be commendable, potential clients should be aware of the concerns raised in customer reviews regarding the knowledge of at least one representative and the cost of services. Local users in the "Nearby Lawyers" category are advised to conduct thorough inquiries to ensure that the organization can effectively meet their specific legal needs and that they are comfortable with the terms of service. Met with Emilio Garcia and he was uninformed about the laws. Right after meeting him I met with two other attorney's and was informed the opposite what he said. FYI. He is not an attorney and has a basic degree from Miami Dade College. Online he is shown as a representative to customers. Basically zero knowledge of the law and definitely not a person to take any advise from.
It's all business what you do, you were asked to pay a lot of money.
More than Year ago I requested new green card, my wallet was stolen. Every time is almost impossible to get someone on phone. Line is always busy. Now I know what they do. They put people on hold and after 20 minutes hangout. Wasting days. Terrible service.
I don’t know why the place has bad reviews, if you come with patience and a good attitude everyone treats you right. I’ve been coming here since 2013 for my DACA paperwork and renewal, never had issues with the front desk, I’m always seen my Mike LeFrance and always had a good experience. If you show up by opening time there’s no wait time… if you show up after that of course it’s going to be busy so come with patience if you’re not willing to wake up early.
Thanks to the best Atorney I know “Fernando” my brother was home within exactly 2 months. We are very grateful to have met him! He is worth way more than he asked for! Very professional and caring guy. I really feel that you were God sent. Thank you so so much for your help!
