Carton & Rosoff PC Introduce

Welcome to the Nearby Lawyers platform, your resource for finding legal representation in your community. We are presenting information about Carton & Rosoff PC, a law firm located at 150 Grand St #305 in White Plains, New York. It is important to note that the publicly available reviews regarding this firm raise significant concerns about their professional conduct, particularly in the context of family law and custody matters.

Information regarding the physical environment of Carton & Rosoff PC's office is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, their location in a commercial building on Grand Street in White Plains suggests a standard professional office setting. Potential clients would likely meet with their attorneys in private consultation rooms within this office space.

The services mentioned in the reviews primarily relate to family law, specifically children's attorney roles and custody hearings. One reviewer indicated that Mr. Rosoff served as their children's attorney. Another review details experiences within a custody hearing context. However, it is crucial to understand the serious allegations raised in these reviews regarding the quality and nature of these services.

Several deeply concerning features and alleged behaviors are highlighted in the customer feedback. One reviewer describes Mr. Rosoff as "unprofessional and prejudiced, possibly even racist." This individual alleges that Mr. Rosoff sided with the father's allegations against the mother, manipulated children's statements to benefit the father, and made derogatory remarks about the children's mother. These are extremely serious accusations that raise significant doubts about Mr. Rosoff's suitability as a children's attorney and his commitment to ethical and unbiased representation.

The same reviewer notes that Mr. Rosoff has reportedly been replaced by his wife or partner, Ms. Carton, but expresses a lack of confidence that the representation will improve, fearing that Ms. Carton will continue in a similar manner. This sentiment suggests a broader concern about the firm's overall approach to client representation in family law matters.

Another reviewer shares a distressing experience during a custody hearing, alleging that Mr. Rosoff "literally walked out" while the client was fighting for their children because the client would not pay an "obscene premium." This behavior is described as demonstrating a lack of concern for the client's and their children's rights, prioritizing financial gain over the client's urgent legal needs. This account raises serious ethical questions about Mr. Rosoff's commitment to his clients and his professional responsibilities.

This second reviewer further claims that Mr. Rosoff attempted to "bully" them into paying money before the hearing, even after being appointed by the judge and initially unable to accept a retainer. The reviewer explicitly warns others to "PROCEED WITH CAUTION," stating that Mr. Rosoff's "business plan is to eat up your retainer and ask for more money" and that his focus is on the client's money rather than their interests.

The recurring theme in these reviews is a profound dissatisfaction with the professionalism, ethical conduct, and client care provided by at least one of the firm's principals, Mr. Rosoff. The allegations include prejudice, manipulation, prioritizing financial gain over client needs, and abandoning a client during a critical legal proceeding. These are severe criticisms that potential clients should carefully consider.

Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the publicly available reviews, there is no basis for presenting any positive promotional information for Carton & Rosoff PC. In fact, the feedback serves as a strong warning about potential risks associated with engaging this firm for legal services, particularly in sensitive areas like family law and child custody.

Individuals seeking legal representation in White Plains, NY, are strongly advised to carefully consider the serious allegations presented in these reviews regarding Carton & Rosoff PC. While every individual's experience can vary, the consistency and severity of the issues raised warrant thorough due diligence before making a decision to retain this firm.

If you are considering Carton & Rosoff PC for your legal needs, it is highly recommended that you seek additional information, potentially from other sources or by directly contacting the firm to understand their perspective on these reviews. However, the existing public feedback paints a concerning picture that should not be ignored.

In conclusion, the publicly available reviews for Carton & Rosoff PC in White Plains, NY, raise significant concerns about the firm's professionalism, ethical conduct, and client care, particularly in the context of family law and custody matters. Potential clients are urged to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering this firm for their legal needs, as the feedback suggests a high risk of negative experiences.

Rosoff was my children's attorney, but I quickly realized that he was unprofessional and prejudiced, possibly even racist. He sided with the father's allegations against the mother and manipulated anything the children told him to benefit the father. I was shocked when I overheard Rosoff making derogatory remarks about the children's mother. It is clear that he is not fit to be a children's attorney. I recently discovered that Rosoff has been replaced by his wife or partner, Carton. However, I have little hope that Carton will be any different than Rosoff. I fear that she will continue to poorly represent the children, just like her husband did.

I would give zero stars if possible. David literally walked out of custody hearing as I was fighting for my children because I wouldn’t pay him an obscene premium. He is not considered with fighting for you or your childrens rights. He’s business plan is to eat up your retainer and ask for more money. He was to be appointed by the judge, but then he could not accept retainer. So, he tried bullying me into money before the hearing. When I refused, he walked out and left me unrepresented. PROCEED WOTH CAUTION. ITS YOUR MONEY, NOT YOUR INTERESTS THAT HE IS WORKING FOR. Don’t say me and all the other reviews here didn’t warn you when you are 6 months into your custody battle , you’ve gotten no where and he has eaten up your retainer and is asking for more money. You read it here, don’t cry later.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! Took my retainer and did NOTHING for over a month. Every time I called Rosoff (i refuse to refer to him as an attorney) for an update he scrambled for my files and read back information to me from paperwork I provided them with. When I demanded a refund for my retainer I was billed for "services rendered".
