HORRIBLE excuse for an attorney, BEWARE!!! Very childish and disrespectful in the way he works with clients. Forgets important dates related to case. He was off schedule by several weeks and I couldn't believe how. It cost us our integrity and extra fees in the case. He's the type who's out to milk you for your money by dragging every little thing out. He uses a harsh and aggressive tone. The way he talked to the defendant was very inappropriately threatening and bullying. I question if it's legal and I know it's not ethical. He made false claims and threats that were uncomfortable and shady. He doesn’t compromise on anything. He could have reached a settlement on our case but didn't and went the most intense and extreme route which cost us as well. It was ridiculous to have to argue with our own lawyer to get the outcome WE wanted, not the one he wanted for himself and his egotistical issues. We trusted him but shouldn't have as he doesn’t compromise on anything, with anyone, ever. The way he talked to me was very childish, condescending, disrespectful, and belittling. He made me extremely uncomfortable and taken advantage of when he was supposed to be on our side. Overall very rude and gross to work with. I prefer to work with someone who treats me like a respectable human being. If you do too, steer clear and go to someone who treats you like a human. Overall, I would absolutely NOT recommend working with Mark C. Young in Brookfield. I never felt that he had our best interest in mind and always kept his own interests front and center at all times. Despicable excuse for an attorney. Look elsewhere immediately. Shame on you, Mark!!!

About Young Mark
For individuals seeking legal representation in Brookfield, WI, and the surrounding areas, understanding the reputation and client experiences associated with an attorney is a crucial step in the selection process. Mark C. Young, an attorney located at 14380 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005, USA, falls under the "Nearby Lawyers" category, suggesting local accessibility for those requiring legal services. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Mark C. Young, drawing directly from publicly available client reviews to inform potential clients about what they might expect.
The office environment at 14380 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI, suggests a standard commercial setting for a legal practice. However, the client experience within that environment, particularly concerning communication and client interaction, is a recurring theme in the provided feedback. While the physical space might be conventional, the interpersonal dynamics described by former clients paint a picture that warrants careful consideration.
Based solely on the provided customer reviews, Mark C. Young's services appear to be broad, encompassing general legal representation where disputes arise, given the nature of the complaints about handling cases, settlement negotiations, and interactions with opposing parties. The reviews do not specify particular areas of law (e.g., family law, criminal defense, civil litigation), but rather focus on the attorney's conduct and approach to client management and case strategy.
A significant feature, and a consistent concern raised by multiple clients, is the described communication style and professionalism. Reviews repeatedly characterize the attorney's demeanor as "childish," "condescending," "disrespectful," "belittling," "harsh," and "aggressive." Clients report feeling "extremely uncomfortable and taken advantage of," and expressed a preference to "work with someone who treats me like a respectable human being." This pattern suggests a significant concern regarding the attorney-client relationship and the level of respect afforded to clients.
Another prominent feature highlighted in the reviews pertains to case management and strategy. Clients accuse the attorney of "forgetting important dates related to case" and being "off schedule by several weeks," which allegedly led to "cost us our integrity and extra fees." There are also claims that the attorney "doesn’t compromise on anything" and that he "could have reached a settlement on our case but didn't and went the most intense and extreme route which cost us as well." This suggests a potential lack of willingness to explore compromise or alternative dispute resolution methods, potentially leading to prolonged and more expensive litigation than clients desired. Clients explicitly state they had to "argue with our own lawyer to get the outcome WE wanted, not the one he wanted for himself and his egotistical issues," raising questions about client autonomy and the attorney's focus on client objectives versus personal motivations.
Furthermore, concerns about ethical conduct are explicitly mentioned. Reviewers stated that the attorney's way of talking to defendants was "very inappropriately threatening and bullying," leading one client to question if it was "legal and I know it's not ethical." Claims of "false claims and threats that were uncomfortable and shady" also appear, which are serious allegations that prospective clients should be aware of when considering legal counsel.
The overall promotional information, if any, is overshadowed by the overwhelmingly negative sentiment expressed in these reviews. There are no positive testimonials provided, and the consistent nature of the negative feedback implies a pattern of behavior rather than isolated incidents. Phrases like "HORRIBLE excuse for an attorney, BEWARE!!!" and "Overall, I would absolutely NOT recommend working with Mark C. Young in Brookfield. I never felt that he had our best interest in mind and always kept his own interests front and center at all times. Despicable excuse for an attorney. Look elsewhere immediately. Shame on you, Mark!!!" are strong admonitions that clearly advise against engaging his services.
The recurring complaint that the attorney is "the type who's out to milk you for your money by dragging every little thing out" suggests concerns about billing practices and the perceived motivation behind case strategies. This implies a potential lack of transparency or an approach that prioritizes billable hours over efficient and cost-effective client outcomes.
In summary, while Mark C. Young operates as a "Nearby Lawyer" in Brookfield, WI, the provided customer reviews present a consistent and significantly negative perspective on his professional conduct, communication style, case management, and ethical considerations. Prospective clients are strongly advised to take these serious concerns into account when evaluating legal representation. The reviews suggest a fundamental dissatisfaction with the attorney's approach to client relationships, case strategy, and overall professionalism. For those seeking legal counsel in Brookfield, due diligence beyond basic contact information is critical, and these client experiences should be a primary factor in any decision-making process.
