Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP operates from an office on Bergenline Avenue in Union City, New Jersey. This location is a busy commercial street, suggesting accessibility for residents and businesses in the area. Being on the third floor of a building, the office likely provides a professional setting for client meetings. Potential clients can likely expect standard law office facilities, including a reception area and private consultation rooms.
Based on the limited client reviews, Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP appears to handle immigration law matters. One review specifically mentions assistance with a work permit renewal application, indicating experience in this area. The other review does not specify the type of legal service sought but implies a need for document retrieval. While the firm's website or a more comprehensive set of reviews would be needed to fully understand their areas of practice, the available information suggests a focus on immigration law and potentially other areas requiring document management and client communication. It is advisable to contact the firm directly to inquire about their specific legal services.
The available reviews present a mixed picture of client experiences with Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP. While one review expresses appreciation for attorney Mabel Behar and acknowledges the firm's potential to fight for undocumented immigrants in court, both reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the firm's administrative practices and customer service:
- Positive Feedback:
- Appreciation for Specific Attorney: Attorney Mabel Behar is specifically acknowledged for taking the time to speak with clients.
- Perceived Advocacy for Undocumented Immigrants: The reviewer expresses faith that attorneys Youman, Madeo, and Fasano fight in court for undocumented immigrants.
- Negative Feedback:
- Document Retrieval Issues: One client reports being asked to pay $100 to have their own documents emailed, which they found unreasonable. Despite paying three weeks prior and repeated calls, the file had not been received, indicating significant issues with document management and communication.
- Lack of Professionalism and Reliability (Alleged): The client experiencing document issues questions the firm's professionalism and reliability, suggesting they may not be a "real law firm."
- Staff Inavailability and Misinformation (Alleged): The client encountered difficulties reaching the person in charge of their file, with repeated excuses of the person being on break, in a meeting, or not there. They also received conflicting information about the person's availability.
- Lack of Invoice: The client requested an invoice for the $100 fee but reportedly never received one.
- Lost or Misplaced Documents: Another client reports that documents they submitted multiple times were either lost or misplaced by the office, causing them to take time off work to resubmit them.
- Errors in Filing: The client's husband's work permit renewal application was allegedly filled out incorrectly, leading to a denial by USCIS and significant anxiety and fear for the family.
- Negative Impact on Client's Life: The errors in the application process caused significant distress and delayed the husband's work permit, impacting the family's stability.
- Overall Negative Recommendation: Both reviewers explicitly state that they do not recommend the firm, with one even advising others to avoid them even if the services were free.
The limited reviews do not contain explicit promotional information from the firm itself. However, the mention of fighting for undocumented immigrants could be seen as highlighting a specific area of advocacy. Conversely, the overwhelmingly negative experiences related to administrative issues and customer service overshadow any potential promotional aspects.
For local users in Union City, NJ, browsing our platform for Nearby Lawyers, Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP is a local option with an office on Bergenline Avenue. However, the available client reviews raise significant concerns about their administrative efficiency, document handling, and overall customer service. While one review expresses faith in the attorneys' courtroom advocacy and appreciation for one specific attorney, the issues reported by both clients regarding document management, communication, and errors in filings should be carefully considered.
Potential clients should be aware of the reported difficulties in obtaining documents, the alleged lack of professionalism in communication, and the serious consequences resulting from errors in legal filings. These issues, if representative of the firm's general practices, could lead to significant frustration and negative outcomes for clients.
Given the serious nature of the negative feedback, including allegations of lost documents and incorrect filings leading to official denials, it is strongly recommended that potential clients conduct thorough due diligence before considering Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP. This could include seeking reviews from other sources, checking for any disciplinary records, and asking very detailed questions about the firm's processes for document handling, communication protocols, and quality control measures during an initial consultation. It would be prudent to compare their services and client feedback with other law firms in the Union City area to ensure a well-informed decision.
In conclusion, Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP in Union City, NJ, is a law firm with a physical presence in the community. While one client expresses some faith in their legal advocacy and appreciation for a specific attorney, the available reviews predominantly highlight significant issues related to administrative practices, document handling, communication, and the potential for errors in legal filings. Local users considering this firm should carefully weigh these concerns and conduct thorough research before making a decision about their legal representation.

Extremely disappointed with this firm. I requested docs to be emailed to me which they asked me to pay $100 for?! First of all, it is insane to charge when all you have to do is press a few buttons to send it but I complied and paid THREE WEEKS AGO. I have yet to receive the file till this day and every time I call, the person in charge is on break, in a meeting, or not there. I called today again and they told me it’ll be sent in an hour. After three hours passed, I had another person call on my behalf and they told them the person is not there at all and won’t be until Monday! Are you guys really a law firm or just a front? You need to hire new staff who are professional and reliable. I am extremely upset with myself for even trusting this firm to begin with. I do not recommend this firm. Please go to am actual professional and reputable lawyer for all your needs. Do not go here, even if it’s free!! Edit: I’ve been calling you guys since January inquiring about the file. I asked for an invoice as to what I am even paying for and you guys never sent it. I complied and paid it even though paying $100 for a file that is ours is ridiculous but okay, fine we paid. The point isn’t over the payment, it’s over the lack of professionalism. If I pay a fee like you asked, wouldn’t you release the file immediately? Regardless, I am still waiting for this file and still have not received it.
I really wanted to give the attorneys a 5 star. Unfortunately their office has been a complete nightmare! When documents, (which I have handed in numerous time) are either lost or misplaced, I have had to take time off from work to again make copies and hand it to them in a binder to keep all documents together. It’s gets worse! My husbands application to renew his work permit was filled incorrectly making USCIS deny the application. Eventually, the form was corrected and sent. As a result his work permit as of date has not arrived. My heart truly breaks to see the anxiety and fear that my husband is going through with this new administration. I have worked two jobs to pay off the balance for their services. My faith in God keeps me held together but it does not take away the anguish that I am feeling. I do have faith in God that attorneys Youman, Madeo, and Fasano do fight in court for undocumented immigrants. I also truly appreciate attorney Mabel Behar, for always taking time to speak with my husband and myself. My heart goes out to every undocumented immigrant who has been here for years working and abiding by our laws. I pray in the name of Jesus that their can be an immigration reform.
My appointment was at 2 they told me to arrive 1 hour earlier had me waiting for 2 hours and I asked about when my turn was and the lawyer wasn’t even on the office lady in front desk didn’t even hesitate to call the lawyer but ofc money first and then they screw you over how can someone trust them to manage their legal issues when they can’t even manage their own schedule DO NOT COME HERE I DO NOT RECOMMEND
I have had an amazing experience with my process, it's been a long journey. I got my Residence in 2018! Thank you for helping me in every way possible. They helped me with my citizenship! I became a citizen on january 2024. I have one more case open in this office!
I am eternally grateful and joyful with the service I have received from Youman, Madeo & Fasano. I retained the firm in 2015 to fight for a Cancellation of Removal. My case has been approved in 2024, but the attorneys and their staff guided me through the process at all times. I recommend YMF to everyone who wants to fix their immigration status.
