The review further alleges that the lawyer was unresponsive to direct questions about estimates and timelines, instead engaging in tangential conversation. The reviewer also mentions an issue regarding document handling, stating that while the lawyer took pictures of all necessary documents during the initial meeting, a subsequent email requested copies, which the reviewer felt was an unnecessary expense. The reviewer concludes by advising others to avoid this lawyer, citing concerns about business integrity, suggesting a practice of attracting clients with low initial estimates followed by significantly higher bills. I recently reached Williamson to take my husband's name from the deed. He told me the total estimate would be $250-$300 in the initial meeting. I paid him in full. After two weeks, I tried to check with him the status. He had all kinds of reasons not working on the case yet. After several calls he finally did a little part of the case and sent me a new bill which was asking for another $700+. I was quite shocked but just wanted to get the things done soon. I asked him to give me an estimate of anything else I need to pay and the timeline of getting the case done. He is very good at talking something else but not replying questions directly. I told him if he was not able to give the estimate of the total cost and timeline I can't pay that much money because it was already much more than the original estimate. He got angry and refused to admit he gave me that estimate because I have no record of our talk. He took a picture of all my documents at the first meeting but later emailed me again to ask for the copies. And it cost a lot of $ for him to email me for the copies. Now he refused to admit he took the pictures of all documents needed because I don't have evidence. Please avoid this lawyer as he has little integrity in doing business. He tried to get people in with a low estimate and give you crazy bill later on. Also remember to have all confirmations in email for what he tells you otherwise he won't admit.
