The features of Williams & Perry Attorneys At Law, as perceived through the customer reviews, present a mixed picture. One reviewer emphasizes several positive aspects:
- Local and Approachable: A significant feature highlighted is the firm's local presence and approachable nature, contrasting them with larger firms in Charlotte that require online forms before contact. This suggests a client-friendly approach where direct communication is valued.
- Respectful Treatment: The reviewer felt treated with respect by everyone at the firm, indicating a positive and professional client interaction.
- Sense of Urgency: The firm is praised for handling legal needs with a sense of urgency, suggesting responsiveness and efficiency in their service.
- Real People Who Care: The reviewer describes Shane Perry and his team as "like you and me. Real people. They care about our community," portraying a down-to-earth and community-oriented approach.
However, the second review presents a contrasting experience:
- Rude and Abrupt Communication: This reviewer describes a negative interaction with a female attorney who was perceived as rude, abrupt, and snide.
- Dismissive of Concerns: The attorney reportedly dismissed the client's credit dispute issues, suggesting a lack of willingness or knowledge to assist in that specific area.
- Potentially Uninformed: The reviewer raises concerns about the attorney's understanding of fair credit act laws based on the advice given.
- Negative Recommendation: Based on this experience, the reviewer advises against utilizing the firm.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to present definitive promotional information. The positive review serves as a strong testimonial to the firm's potential for providing respectful, urgent, and community-focused legal services, particularly through Shane Perry and his team. The emphasis on being local and approachable could be a key selling point for residents of Mooresville who prefer a more personal interaction with their legal counsel compared to larger, more impersonal firms in bigger cities.
However, the negative review raises concerns about the consistency of client experience and the firm's handling of certain legal matters, in this case, credit disputes. It suggests that potential clients may want to inquire specifically about the expertise of the attorney they will be working with and ensure their communication style aligns with expectations.
For local users in Mooresville seeking legal assistance, contacting Williams & Perry Attorneys At Law at (704) 663-4187 or +1 704-663-4187 would be the next step to gather more information. It would be prudent to inquire about the specific areas of law they handle, the attorneys who specialize in those areas, and to discuss their approach to client communication and service. Located at 109 W Statesville Ave, they offer a local option for legal representation.
In conclusion, Williams & Perry Attorneys At Law in Mooresville presents itself as a local and potentially approachable law firm. The positive review highlights a client-focused and community-oriented practice, particularly praising Shane Perry. However, the negative review indicates potential inconsistencies in client experience and raises questions about expertise in all areas of law. Local users considering this firm should weigh these perspectives and engage directly with the firm to determine if their services meet their specific legal needs and expectations.

I can not recommend Shane Perry and everyone at Williams & Perry enough. Shane has taken care of my legal needs on both personal and professional matters on several occasions over the years. I can call on anyone at Williams & Perry knowing I will be treated with respect, and my needs will be handled with a sense of urgency. I love that they are local and approachable, unlike the firms I contacted in Charlotte, who wouldn't speak to me unless I filled out a contact form online first. Williams & Perry aren't like that. Shane and his team are like you and me. Real people. They care about our community. Again, I highly recommend this firm and hope you will consider them for your future needs.
I received a call back from a female attorney that was rude and abrupt. She was snide and asked me what kind of credit dispute am I talking about. So I proceeded to explain what was happening on all three bureau of my credit one example I gave her is that dates opened are not accurate across my three bureaus as an example one opening May date and another opening in August date and she told me as long as the dates were within that same year there’s nothing I could do about it. Then I gave her the amounts are in accurate across all three bureaus on charged off credit cards that I have and she told me that there’s nothing I can do about that. She made a statement I quote “ so obviously these are cards that you never paid back”. Either She did not want to help me or she is uninformed about fair credit act laws if you’re thinking about utilizing this firm don’t.
DO NOT USE COLLUM & PERRY, LLC., Mooresville, NC. Stacey Williams, Lawyer at firm, sat on my disability case for two years, She did zero work on file. Years and months later, she called me up and verbally lied to me saying, they are "moving away from disability," which I found out was/is not true. She then referred me to another law firm, who saw she did nothing and could not take my case because in my particular situation you can't back-track two years of work Stacey did not do. I FINALLY received a call from Social Security Disability with my court date. I had to withdraw my case. I called Mr. Collum, Partner at Collum & Perry, to complain about Stacey and he refused to talk to me. After looking at all these reviews, from a 1 star to a 5 star (the 5 stars makes me wonder if the law firm had their own people write reviews after seeing my husband's review), just know that it is a 50/50 shot with getting horrible representation to great representation. What I have written here is accurate and true. Stacey ruined my chances at getting any disability after two years of waiting for my court date and the partners did not even care. Do you want to take that chance with whatever you are going through? These people have zero morals and do not care. I would not put it past them to try to cover up my bad review with having their own people write good reviews. I never want anybody to go through what I went through with them. Never.
We are very grateful for the excellent care and service we have received from Danielle and Kimberly with Collum and Perry. Although we had numerous fears with our situation due to unexpected job loss, the staff of Collum and Perry eased our fears, clearly explained all of our options, and helped us come up with a game plan to deal with our situation. The staff was extremely professional, courteous, listened to all of our concerns and responded promptly with additional communication as needed. They gave us hope when we thought our situation was hopeless. We highly recommend this firm. Many thanks for a job well done!
I do not recommend them to anyone either. I was assigned to Danielle in their bankruptcy office just when she started, even though Shane Perry was recommended, and that was the reason I went to him. She was the worst in responding to inquiries. I would email her and not hear for months. When I had had enough, I contacted Shane who didn't respond either, until I threatened to file a grievance with the Bar. Guess what, immediate reply! His response to me was "you shouldn't say things like that!" He begrudgingly listened to my concerns, said he would talk to Danielle then get back to me. Guess what......he didn't have the balls to get back with me. Instead I got a detailed timeline from Danielle about her "diligence, contact and responses" that she spent more time on then following up on what I needed and requested her to do. Horrible business people..........
