William P. Churchill, III P.C. Attorney at Law Introduce
For individuals in Decatur, Georgia, and the surrounding Atlanta metropolitan area navigating complex family law matters, William P. Churchill, III P.C. Attorney at Law, located at 160 Clairemont Ave # 200, offers legal representation with a notable focus on fathers' rights, legitimation, visitation, and child custody. As a local attorney listed under the category "Nearby Lawyers," Mr. Churchill aims to provide accessible legal services to the community. The available client reviews offer contrasting perspectives on his services, highlighting both positive dedication and areas of potential concern for prospective clients.
One detailed positive review from a father seeking legitimation, visitation, and custody of his son emphasizes Mr. Churchill's initial care and attention. The client recounts a positive experience from the initial stages, noting that Mr. Churchill provided a free thirty-minute phone consultation followed by an in-person free consultation to better understand the intricacies of the case. This gesture impressed the client, who felt that Mr. Churchill genuinely cared about listening and understanding his situation as a father seeking his rights. This suggests that Mr. Churchill may offer a client-focused approach during the initial consultation phase, prioritizing understanding the client's needs and the specifics of their case.
The same positive review further highlights Mr. Churchill's professionalism, organization, and accessibility once retained. The client noted that Mr. Churchill began working on the case almost immediately, maintained regular communication by providing updates, and stood firm during court-ordered mediation to protect the client's rights as a father. The client specifically praised Mr. Churchill for having his best interests at heart during the mediation process. This suggests that Mr. Churchill can be a dedicated advocate for his clients, particularly fathers seeking to establish or protect their parental rights, and that he prioritizes communication and client advocacy during critical legal proceedings.
However, a contrasting negative review presents a different perspective on Mr. Churchill's services. This client alleges that Mr. Churchill charged a $700 fee for initial work related to guardianship or visitation rights for a grandchild but did not take any substantial action. The review further claims that after providing more information, the client was informed that the initial matter was closed, and a new $5,000 fee would be required to proceed. This account raises concerns about billing practices, the clarity of initial agreements, and the progression of the legal process in this particular instance. It is important to note that this is a single negative review, but it warrants consideration for prospective clients.
Considering the available information, the services offered by William P. Churchill, III P.C. Attorney at Law appear to center around family law, with a notable emphasis on fathers' rights, legitimation, visitation, and child custody matters. The positive review strongly suggests expertise and dedication in these specific areas, particularly for fathers navigating the legal system to establish or protect their relationships with their children. The negative review, however, indicates potential issues related to fee structures and the progression of cases in other family law contexts, such as guardianship or visitation for grandparents.
In terms of features, the positive review highlights Mr. Churchill's willingness to offer free initial consultations to understand a case thoroughly, his professionalism and organization in handling the case, his accessibility and proactive communication with clients, and his strong advocacy during mediation. These are valuable qualities for clients seeking a family law attorney. Conversely, the negative review raises concerns about transparency in billing and the handling of initial consultations versus subsequent fees.
As no specific promotional information is provided, local users considering William P. Churchill, III P.C. Attorney at Law should carefully weigh the contrasting client experiences. The positive review suggests strong advocacy and a client-focused approach, particularly for fathers seeking to assert their rights. The negative review, while a single instance, raises questions about billing practices and the clarity of service agreements. Prospective clients should consider discussing these aspects in detail during their initial consultation.
For fathers in Decatur, GA, and the surrounding areas seeking legal assistance with legitimation, visitation, or child custody matters, the positive review suggests that William P. Churchill, III P.C. may be a dedicated and effective advocate. The willingness to offer free initial consultations to understand the case thoroughly could be particularly beneficial for those starting the legal process. However, it would be prudent to discuss fee arrangements and the scope of services clearly from the outset. Individuals with other family law needs, such as grandparent visitation or guardianship, should also inquire specifically about the firm's experience and fee structures in those areas, keeping the negative review in mind as a point of discussion.
In conclusion, William P. Churchill, III P.C. Attorney at Law in Decatur, GA, appears to focus on family law, with a notable positive experience reported by a father regarding legitimation, visitation, and custody. This suggests a potential strength in representing fathers' rights. However, a contrasting review raises concerns about billing and case progression in a different family law context. Local users searching for a "Nearby Lawyer" for family law matters should consider both perspectives and engage in thorough communication with the firm regarding their specific legal needs, service expectations, and fee arrangements to make an informed decision.

I am a father who is fighting for Legitimation, Visitation, and Custody over my first born son. I had already wasted time and money with another Attorney who did nothing for my case nor educated me about my right's as a father until that is; I came across Mr. William P. Churchill. When I found him, we had very little time to prepare for my case that had went to a court ordered mediation. After a free thirty minute phone consultation with him. Mr. Churchill wanted more understanding about my case and even invited me to meet with him for another free consultation, so that he could understand my case even better. That really impressed me becasue most Lawyers will show you in no time it is all about the money, but not Mr. Churchill. He truly cared to listen to me and what it was that I wanted and could be up against as a Father seeking his rights to his child. Once I obtained his services; he started working almost immediately on my case. He was very professional as well as organized. He was easy to get a hold of and would actually call you to keep you updated on your case. When it came time for the Mediation he stood his ground with the other sides council and did not let me sign nor do anything that would jeopardize me and my rights as a father. He went into the mediation with my best interest at heart as his client and that is a great quality you want in an Attorney especially a Father seeking fair representation. In closing, I would like to say if you are a father be careful who you have representing you. Take your time to do your research as I did becasue at the end of day I can't experess how important it is to have the right hired Attorney for the job!! Thanks for all you have done for me Mr. William P. Churchill!!
Mr. Churchill took my money make like he was going to help me try to get guardianship or visitation rights for my grandbaby maybe like it was only going to take 2 hours and Court to say what he had to say and was $350 an hour he charged me $700 and we did nothing nothing then when I told him some more information or whatever the case is closed we going to start this part and it will cost you $5,000 so what happened to my $700
