Walker Estate Planning Introduce

Welcome to the platform for Nearby Lawyers, your local guide to finding legal professionals in your community. We are presenting an overview of Walker Estate Planning, a law firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, offering services related to estate planning. Their office is situated at 6075 Barfield Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328, USA, placing them within convenient reach for residents of Atlanta and the surrounding areas seeking assistance with their estate planning needs.

Walker Estate Planning focuses on helping individuals and families plan for the future by providing services related to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Estate planning is a critical process that allows individuals to manage their assets and healthcare decisions in the event of incapacity or death, ensuring their wishes are respected and their loved ones are protected. The services offered by Walker Estate Planning likely aim to provide clients with peace of mind through comprehensive and personalized planning.

The reviews from real customers offer contrasting perspectives on the services provided by Walker Estate Planning. One customer, a single mother seeking to create a will, reported a negative experience characterized by significant delays, errors in the drafted documents (including a reference to a "husband" despite her clear explanation of her single status), slow and unhelpful communication, and an overall feeling of being ignored and undervalued. This client expressed extreme disappointment with the lack of attention to detail and the failure to provide the expected professionalism and accuracy, ultimately stating that she would not recommend the company, particularly to those in similar situations requiring prompt and correct documentation.

In contrast, another customer shared a positive experience with the Walker team, specifically mentioning Kent Walker and his staff. This review highlighted the firm's ability to work quickly and thoroughly in establishing a trust, power of attorney documents, and advance directives for the client's elderly parents during a time-sensitive situation. The client expressed peace of mind as a result of being able to oversee their parents' healthcare and finances, and highly recommended Kent Walker and his friendly, professional staff.

Considering these two distinct experiences, it's important for potential clients to weigh these perspectives. The positive review emphasizes the team's efficiency and thoroughness in handling complex estate planning needs under time constraints, as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. This suggests that Walker Estate Planning may be capable of providing effective and timely service, particularly in situations requiring urgent attention.

However, the negative review raises concerns about attention to detail, communication, and the accuracy of drafted documents. The error of referring to a "husband" for a single mother indicates a potential lack of thoroughness in understanding and documenting individual client circumstances. The reported delays and unhelpful communication further suggest potential issues with client service and process management in some cases.

Given these conflicting accounts, it is challenging to definitively characterize the typical client experience at Walker Estate Planning. Potential features of their service may include:

  • Assistance with the creation of wills to outline how assets should be distributed after death.
  • The establishment of trusts for managing and distributing assets, potentially offering benefits such as avoiding probate or providing for beneficiaries with specific needs.
  • Preparation of Power of Attorney (POA) documents, granting authority to a designated individual to make financial or legal decisions on one's behalf in case of incapacity.
  • Creation of Advance Directives (also known as living wills or healthcare proxies) to outline healthcare preferences and appoint someone to make medical decisions if the individual is unable to do so.
  • Potential for efficient service in urgent situations, as suggested by one positive review.
  • A team that includes friendly and professional staff.

However, potential drawbacks, as indicated by the negative review, may include:

  • Possible delays in finalizing documents.
  • Risk of errors in drafted legal documents due to a lack of attention to detail.
  • Potential for slow and unhelpful communication.
  • Inconsistent client experience, with some clients feeling ignored or undervalued.

Potential clients should be aware of these differing perspectives and are encouraged to contact the firm directly to assess whether their services meet their individual needs and expectations for estate planning.

As a single mother, I sought professional help to create a Will for peace of mind, ensuring my child’s future is protected. Unfortunately, my experience with this estate planning service has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I paid in full upfront, expecting efficiency and accuracy, but what I received was a series of delays and errors. It has taken six months to get the Will finalized, far beyond the promised timeline. To make matters worse, the first draft of the document contained glaring mistakes, such as referring to a “husband” when I am a single mother. Despite clearly explaining my family situation from the start, this error was not caught until I reviewed the draft myself. Communication was slow and responses were often unhelpful, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued as a client. After multiple attempts to get the necessary corrections made, the process felt like a never-ending cycle of frustration. I’m extremely disappointed with the service and the lack of attention to detail. As a single mother, ensuring that my Will is clear and accurate is crucial. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the professionalism or respect I expected from a service meant to provide peace of mind. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially to those in similar situations who need their documents done correctly and promptly.

The Walker team put together a Trust for my family as well as POA documents and Advance Directives for my elderly parents. Honestly, my parents waited too long to begin this process and we're at crunch time. Kent and his team worked quickly and thoroughly to get everything in place as soon as possible. I have peace of mind now that I am able to oversee my parents' healthcare & finances. I highly recommend Kent Walker and his friendly, professional staff.

A prenup attorney referred me to Kent at Walker Estate Planning. I relied on Kent to create my last Will and Testament, medical directive, power of attorney and create a revocable trust. He also did a quit claim deed to place my real estate in the revocable trust. Kent and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive and friendly. They definitely went “above and beyond” to ensure that all my questions were answered and that I had a complete set of comprehensive documents prepared within a few business days. I cannot recommend this company enough for your estate planning needs.

We recently used Kent for our estate planning needs and the process was very easy, streamlined and quite efficient. I must say, I had been dreading it for quite some time now but since we had some pressing needs, I knew I had to get on with it. I am so glad I did! Kent made it bearable, cuts through the legal jargon, and is just terrific to deal with on all aspects of the estate planning process. He is very detail oriented too. Proceed with confidence to contact Kent and put this necessary process behind you!
