I called The Villalobos Law Firm on 03-08-2025 about a trust fund. Even though they don't typically handle the creation of a trust fund, my mother told me, Mr. Raul Villalobos personally helped set up documents regarding a trust for my parents back in the '80s. I had sent multiple messages asking for a response by email or text for privacy reasons. After they ignored that request, and called anyway. I finally decide to call back the first chance I got. Explaining my situation to the receptionist, just to be rudely dismissed and denied anything involving that kinda service. When I explained my parents knew Villalobos personally, the receptionist flatly said, "no he didn't," as if they were there when it happened. The receptionist then told me to go through probate, falsely claiming that "all trust funds/Inheritance must go through probate, no matter what". That’s a lie. I later learned that alot of people make trust funds to avoid probate. They told me they didn't even handle trust or inheritance in any-way. That's a lie! This firm practices family law attorney and asset protection, which includes drafting legal documents for trusts/inheritance, just like my mom mentioned. This means the receptionist gave me false legal advice on purpose and refused to let me talk to a lawyer, to confirm what she said was true, and they refused to pass on the message to Mr. Villalobos himself. Because of this, I have reasons to believe either the receptionist or someone working at the firm knows what I'm talking about and is helping to cover it up. I got a anonymous tip that "my brother, George, who's on the run had taken control over it (to steal money) during a certain time when he wasn't considered a felon, (Which I was led to believe he was cleared of all charges.)and the law firm had ties to it." If what my mother said, was true, then Mr. Villalobos did help with documents since the firm practice family law attorney and assets protection. Even if his old partner (Mr. Rodriguez) helped, I know when a lawyer passes or retires, their on-going cases (like inheritance/trust fund) go to their partners or the next lawyer on the list. My mother even called the law firm in front of me, a year or two before she passed away to prove to me it was all true, and even tho, she made it sound like, she haven't spoken to Mr. Villalobos in decades, Mr. Raul Villalobos yelled at my mom over the phone in Spanish and hung up on her, making me believe my mom had more contact with him then what she wanted me to believe. I'm NOT blaming Mr. Raul Villalobos personally, but all this false information and blocking me from talking to a lawyer, makes me believe, they are hiding something. How would a anonymous person know my phone number? My name? My parents name? My trust fund? And my brother being on the run and the law firm my parents went to? If he's on the run then of course, he would need money. I would like a lawyer or maybe, Mr. Raul Villalobos himself to call me to straighten this out and, cause if Mr. Villalobos did draw up some documents for the trust, then he likely knows it's location, and if someone from the firm is helping my brother, George steal my inheritance/trust fund, know that you are helping a known felon avoid being captured. And to the receptionist: YOU SUCK! Learn some manners!

Mr. Villalobos was a superhero! We were up a supervillain of 18 month squatting tenants that knew the court system in and out regarding eviction. So glad that my lawyer was knowledgeable as well and was referred over to me by my superhero of a realtor Andrea Maldonado Chicago Realty. It only took like 4 short months to make quick work of the dead beet. What was an awesome benefit was how friendly and communicative his office staff was with providing me up to date information on my court status. Today we won the case! Well worth the pena! Very fair fees as well. Tizoc T.

Features that might distinguish Villalobos & Associates could potentially include the experience of their legal team and their approach to client communication. One review mentions Mr. Raul Villalobos personally assisting with trust fund documents in the past, indicating a history within the community. However, another review raises concerns about communication and the handling of inquiries by the receptionist. These contrasting experiences highlight the importance of direct communication with the firm to understand their current practices and client service standards.
It is important to consider all available feedback when evaluating a legal service provider. One customer shared a negative experience regarding a trust fund inquiry. This review details alleged misinformation provided by the receptionist, a refusal to allow communication with a lawyer, and a belief that information was being deliberately withheld. The reviewer also mentioned a past positive interaction where Mr. Raul Villalobos personally assisted with trust documents for their parents. This suggests a potential shift in the firm's handling of certain matters or inconsistencies in client service. The serious allegations made in this review warrant careful consideration and further inquiry.
Another review describes a client's dissatisfaction with the handling of a divorce case, citing a lack of updates, frequent changes in legal representation within the firm, and ultimately, the client giving up on their case after paying an initial fee. This feedback points to potential issues with case management and client communication that prospective clients should be aware of. It underscores the importance of clear communication channels and consistent support throughout the legal process.
Given the mixed feedback, it is crucial for individuals considering Villalobos & Associates to conduct their own due diligence. This includes contacting the firm directly to discuss their specific legal needs, inquire about their processes for client communication and case management, and potentially seek additional references or testimonials if available. Understanding the firm's current staffing and their approach to handling cases in areas such as trust funds, inheritance, family law, and asset protection is essential for making an informed decision.
While the historical involvement of Mr. Raul Villalobos in trust matters is mentioned in one review, the more recent experiences shared by other clients raise concerns about the firm's current operational practices. These concerns include allegations of inaccurate information being provided, difficulties in communicating with attorneys, and issues with case progression. It is important to note that online reviews represent individual experiences and may not be fully representative of every client interaction. However, they provide valuable insights that should be considered alongside direct communication with the firm.
For local users seeking legal assistance in family law or asset protection, Villalobos & Associates' physical presence in Chicago may be a point of consideration. However, prospective clients should prioritize direct engagement with the firm to address the concerns raised in the reviews and to gain a clear understanding of their current services, communication protocols, and client support practices. It is recommended to ask specific questions about the handling of cases similar to their own and to clarify the roles and responsibilities of all involved staff members.
In conclusion, Villalobos & Associates is a Chicago-based law firm with a listed focus on family law and asset protection. While one past client recalls positive direct assistance from Mr. Raul Villalobos, more recent feedback highlights significant concerns regarding communication, client service, and case management. Local users considering engaging Villalobos & Associates for their legal needs should carefully weigh this information and conduct thorough due diligence to ensure the firm aligns with their expectations and requirements. Direct communication with the firm is strongly recommended to obtain current and specific information about their services and practices.
