Vespasiano Michael Introduce
Welcome to our platform for Nearby Lawyers, where we provide information to help you connect with legal professionals in your community. Today, we introduce you to Vespasiano Michael, an attorney located at 331 Main St C, Chatham, NJ 07928, USA. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences appear to be mixed, with positive outcomes in some areas but concerns raised regarding customer service.
The address, 331 Main St C in Chatham, New Jersey, suggests a location within the local business district, potentially accessible for residents of Chatham and surrounding areas seeking legal counsel. While the reviews do not offer specific details about the physical environment of the office, it is reasonable to assume a professional setting suitable for client consultations and legal work. However, one review does mention interactions with the front desk, indicating the presence of administrative staff.
Regarding the services offered by Vespasiano Michael, one review explicitly mentions assistance with a property tax appeal, stating, "...my property taxes were appealed and I did get a reduction down to the value my house was appraised at." This indicates that property tax appeals are one of the services potentially offered by this attorney. The reviewer also suggests that other attorneys might achieve similar results in such cases based on the facts, implying that while the outcome was positive, it might not be unique to this particular lawyer.
Another review mentions "many interactions with the firm" resulting in being "always treated fairly, expeditious and good results." This positive feedback suggests that in certain circumstances, clients have experienced satisfactory service and outcomes with Vespasiano Michael's firm. The terms "fairly" and "expeditious" point to a practice that aims to treat clients equitably and handle matters in a timely manner.
However, the first review also raises significant concerns about the customer service experienced. The client reported feeling "massively condescended to" during phone calls with the office staff, other than when speaking with another partner named Chad. This highlights a potential issue with communication and client interaction within the office. The reviewer felt that their questions, arising from a lack of regular experience with legal matters, were not treated with the respect and patience expected of a professional service.
The more significant issue raised in the first review concerns the handling of a property tax refund. The town reportedly refunded the tax difference to the attorney on November 10, 2020, but the client did not receive their check until January 22nd of the following year. The client was initially told they would receive the check before Christmas, citing Covid and the holidays as a reason for potential delay. Subsequent follow-ups resulted in various excuses, such as the check not being mailed or an issue with the address. The reviewer expressed frustration that the check was not sent certified mail after multiple delays and communication issues. They drew a comparison to the firm's likely response if the situation were reversed and the client delayed payment to the attorney.
Considering these mixed reviews, the features of Vespasiano Michael's legal practice appear to be:
- Potential for Positive Legal Outcomes: Demonstrated success in at least one instance of a property tax appeal and generally "good results" in other interactions according to one reviewer.
- Property Tax Appeal Services: Explicitly mentioned as a service provided.
- Expeditious Handling (in some cases): One reviewer noted "expeditious" service.
However, potential clients should also be aware of the concerns raised:
- Inconsistent Customer Service: One client reported feeling condescended to by office staff.
- Issues with Communication and Follow-Through: Delays and inconsistent explanations regarding the distribution of a client's refund.
- Potential Lack of Proactive Problem Solving: The failure to send the refund check via certified mail after reported mishaps.
Based on the provided information, there is no explicit promotional material for Vespasiano Michael's services. The reviews offer a glimpse into past client experiences, which can serve as indirect information for potential clients. The positive aspect of achieving a property tax reduction might be seen as a benefit for those seeking similar services. However, the negative experience with customer service and the handling of the refund is a significant factor that potential clients should consider.
For local users considering Vespasiano Michael for their legal needs, it is crucial to weigh both the positive and negative feedback provided. If you require assistance with property tax appeals, this might be an area where the firm has demonstrated success. However, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about their client communication protocols and procedures for handling client funds to ensure a smooth and transparent experience.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the services offered by Vespasiano Michael, including all areas of law they handle, their fee structure, and their client service policies, it is strongly recommended to contact their office directly at (973) 635-1100 or +1 973-635-1100. Asking specific questions about their approach to client communication, the handling of funds, and their areas of expertise will help you determine if their services align with your needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Vespasiano Michael in Chatham, NJ, appears to be a legal professional who has achieved positive outcomes for some clients, particularly in the area of property tax appeals. However, potential clients should be aware of the concerns raised regarding customer service and communication. Direct communication with the office is essential to gather all necessary information and make an informed decision about whether to engage their services.

Let me start with the good: my property taxes were appealed and I did get a reduction down to the value my house was appraised at. That’s about it, and I think other attorneys would be able to get me the same results based on the facts. Anytime I called the office, other than when I spoke to the other partner (Chad) I felt massively condescended to. In my mind, I hired this professional because this is not something I do on a regular basis and if that means I need to ask questions to understand the process, then those questions should be answered. The bigger issue though is that my town refunded the difference in my property taxes to the attorney on November 10, 2020. I was told by the front desk, I would receive my check before Christmas because of Covid and the holidays. I did not receive it until January 22nd. I did not follow up until after Christmas and every time I did, there was some excuse of either we didn’t mail the check yet, the address was smudged, etc. I don’t understand why they did not send it certified after so many mishaps. I’m sure if the refund check had instead gone to me and I didn’t pay the attorney for 3 months, they would have sent me to collections regardless of my excuse. I do not plan on ever using them again, the customer service was abysmal.
Have had many interactions with the firm.n..always treated fairly, expeditious and good results
