Velasquez & Associates Introduce
Welcome to the platform for Nearby Lawyers. Here, we aim to connect local users with legal professionals who can assist them with their diverse needs. This introduction focuses on Velasquez & Associates, a law firm situated at 5701 Executive Center Dr Suite 410, Charlotte, NC 28212, USA. You can reach them at (704) 900-2430 or their mobile number +1 704-900-2430.
Based on available information, Velasquez & Associates appears to be a law firm with a focus on immigration law. They serve the Charlotte, North Carolina area and have experience in handling various immigration-related matters. The firm's physical location in the Executive Center Drive suggests a professional office environment, likely equipped to handle client consultations and legal casework.
According to their online presence, Velasquez & Associates emphasizes its commitment to serving the Latino community and offers services in Spanish, highlighting their dedication to clients with diverse linguistic backgrounds. They present themselves as a firm that provides high-quality counsel and representation in immigration matters, striving to understand each client's unique circumstances to offer tailored legal strategies.
Their areas of expertise within immigration law seem broad, potentially including family-based petitions, deportation defense, and assistance with obtaining legal status. They also indicate experience in handling complex immigration cases and receiving referrals from other attorneys, suggesting a level of recognition within the legal community.
However, it is important to consider all available information. One customer review mentioned an initial consultation that cost $100, after which they were informed that the firm primarily handles family-based visas and were recommended to another lawyer for a different type of case. This suggests that while immigration law is a focus, their practice may be particularly geared towards family-sponsored immigration.
To provide a more comprehensive understanding of "family-based visas," it's helpful to know that U.S. immigration law allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to sponsor certain family members for permanent residency (Green Card). These visas are categorized into immediate relatives (spouses, children under 21, and parents of U.S. citizens) and family preference categories (which include unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens, spouses and unmarried children of lawful permanent residents, married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens, and siblings of U.S. citizens). Each category has specific eligibility requirements and may have annual limits on the number of visas available.
Given the review, local users seeking assistance specifically with family-based immigration matters may find Velasquez & Associates a relevant option. Their experience in this area, as indicated by the review and their self-description, could be beneficial for individuals navigating the process of sponsoring relatives for Green Cards. This might include preparing and filing petitions, assisting with adjustment of status applications for those already in the U.S., and guiding clients through the consular processing for relatives living abroad.
For individuals with other immigration needs, such as employment-based visas, asylum, or other complex immigration issues not related to family sponsorship, it would be prudent to inquire directly with Velasquez & Associates about the scope of their services during an initial consultation. Understanding their specific areas of focus will help potential clients determine if the firm aligns with their legal requirements.
In summary, Velasquez & Associates, located in Charlotte, NC, appears to be an immigration law firm with a strong emphasis on serving the Latino community. While one review suggests a specialization in family-based visas, they also present themselves as having experience across a range of immigration matters. Local users seeking legal assistance with family-sponsored immigration should consider contacting them to discuss their specific situation. For other immigration needs, it is recommended to inquire about their expertise during an initial consultation to ensure their services are the right fit.
When choosing a lawyer, it is always advisable to conduct thorough research, consider multiple options, and have a clear understanding of the lawyer's expertise and fees. Although from the moment you call you say what your case is about; They encourage you to have the interview with the aim of advising you on the options you have and after charging 100 dollars they tell you that they can recommend another lawyer because they only work with family-based visas.

I had a speeding case a year and a half ago, I went on the recommendation of a friend to the Raleigh office which is where I live, I decided to give them the opportunity to represent me and thank God everything went very well, I appeared in court 3 times and settled my ticket with the judge and they did not put points on my license, I recommend them.
