It is important to gather a comprehensive understanding of any legal firm you are considering, and the available reviews for this firm offer contrasting perspectives that potential clients should carefully evaluate.
The reviews for Vames Wang Sosa Hood, Injury Lawyers present a spectrum of experiences, ranging from highly negative interactions with attorney Mr. Vames to positive outcomes for clients who have worked with him. One reviewer explicitly states their feedback is based on a consultation and notes that while they reviewed other attorneys positively, their experience with Mr. Vames was different. This suggests that individual interactions and perceptions may vary significantly.
One detailed negative review describes Mr. Vames as "a very disrespectful attorney." The reviewer recounts being initially referred to another attorney within the same network, Dave Penoyer, who is described as "very kind." After the first referral was unavailable due to a high caseload, Mr. Penoyer offered a secondary referral to Mr. Vames. The reviewer got the impression that Mr. Penoyer did not know Mr. Vames well, a suspicion the reviewer believes to be accurate. The negative experience with Mr. Vames included his alleged insistence on referring to the other driver in an accident as the "bad driver," his inability to follow a clear description of events, and his admonishment of the reviewer for using "he" instead of "bad driver," which the reviewer interpreted as dehumanizing. The consultation was described as "condescending and dismissive," with Mr. Vames allegedly implying the case was not significant enough for him or any attorney to handle, particularly because it did not involve catastrophic injuries. The reviewer likened this type of attorney to an "ambulance chaser" and even sarcastically suggested Mr. Vames solicit clients at a hospital. The reviewer, who was experiencing PTSD following a soft tissue injury, felt Mr. Vames did not review their intake notes and wasted their time with an incompetent and rude demeanor. They strongly recommended seeking representation elsewhere, specifically suggesting Dave Penoyer as a helpful alternative. The reviewer also noted that Mr. Wang appeared nice and suggested deferring questions to him.
In stark contrast, a positive review states that Paul Vames was referred by a co-worker, and the reviewer was glad they chose him. This client reported winning both of their cases with Mr. Vames, describing him as "very understanding" and highlighting his "great communication" throughout both cases. They found him to be "professional and super helpful" and strongly recommended coming to him or his team. This positive experience indicates that some clients have found Mr. Vames to be effective, communicative, and understanding in handling their injury cases.
The office of Vames Wang Sosa Hood, Injury Lawyers is located in a suite within a building on NE Ray Circle in Hillsboro, Oregon. This suggests a professional office environment within a business complex. While the reviews do not provide specific details about the ambiance or facilities, it is typical for law firms to maintain a setting conducive to client consultations, legal research, and case preparation. The location in Hillsboro provides accessibility for residents in the area seeking personal injury representation.
Based on the firm's name and the context of the reviews, the primary service offered is legal representation for individuals who have suffered personal injuries due to accidents or negligence. This likely includes a range of cases such as car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and other situations where someone has been injured due to the fault of another party. The positive review indicating successful outcomes in two cases suggests that the firm is equipped to handle personal injury claims and pursue compensation for their clients.
The features of Vames Wang Sosa Hood, Injury Lawyers are portrayed differently in the two substantive reviews. One positive feature highlighted is the potential for successful case outcomes, as indicated by the client who won both their cases with Mr. Vames. This client also praised his understanding and great communication. However, a significant negative feature reported by another reviewer is a perceived lack of respect, condescending attitude, and unprofessional communication style exhibited by Mr. Vames during a consultation. This reviewer also raised concerns about his approach to clients and the seriousness of their injuries. The positive mention of Mr. Wang appearing nice suggests that the firm may have other approachable and professional attorneys.
From a promotional standpoint, the positive review, emphasizing successful case outcomes, understanding, and good communication, serves as a strong endorsement for Mr. Vames and his team. Potential clients might be drawn to the firm's track record of winning cases and the positive experience of at least one client. However, the detailed negative review presents a significant caveat, raising concerns about the potential for disrespectful and dismissive interactions, at least with Mr. Vames. Therefore, any promotional consideration should be balanced against the reported negative consultation experience.
For local users browsing the Nearby Lawyers category in Hillsboro, Oregon, Vames Wang Sosa Hood, Injury Lawyers offers a local option for personal injury representation. The contrasting reviews suggest that experiences with the firm, particularly with attorney Mr. Vames, can vary significantly. While one client reported positive outcomes and appreciated his understanding and communication, another had a profoundly negative consultation experience, citing disrespect and a dismissive attitude. Potential clients in Hillsboro should carefully consider these differing perspectives and perhaps seek an initial consultation to assess their own comfort level and perception of the firm's professionalism and approach before making a decision about representation. It may also be beneficial to inquire specifically about working with Mr. Wang, who was described as nice in one of the reviews. Exercising caution and conducting thorough due diligence based on all available feedback is advisable when considering this law firm.

FYI for those reading: I consulted with this attorney and my feedback is based on that. I reviewed other attorneys as well, but positively. They weren't rude. They got a positive review. End of story. Mr. Vames is a very disrespectful attorney and I hate to use that word to describe him. I spoke to a very kind attorney named Dave Penoyer, and he first referred me to a very nice attorney that didn't have time to take the case because his cage load was too high. I asked for a secondary recommendation, and he offered Mr. Vames. I got the impression that he didn't know him very well and I'm pretty sure he did not. Mr. Vames wanted to refer to the other driver as the "bad driver" and was unable to follow a clear description of what happened. It's best to use the other driver's name, but he didn't want to do that. It shows that he dehumanizes people in an accident. He admonished me for using "he" instead of "bad driver." I had what I can only describe as a condescending and dismissive conversation with him. He made it clear that he thought the reason I was referred to him is because my case wasn't worth him handling or any attorney handling. He said that basically there was no serious injury like the loss of an arm or body part; or a catastrophic injury. i always refer to this type of attorney as an ambulance chaser. I literally recommended that he go to the hospital to try to find clients there.Soft tissue injury cases can be quite serious and lead to lifelong problems. Ptsd is extremely serious and mine is already and it's only been 2 weeks. He couldn't have been calculated the amount of time and had gone by Nora had he'd read the notes that the person took who did intake on me. If you're done that, he would have been familiar and saved himself at least 5 minutes of his precious time. What he doesn't know is my time is also significant and I don't have time to waste it on people that are incompetent and rude. Save yourself some time and try to get an attorney like Dave Penoyer. He's a very nice attorney and I'm sure he could help anyone with a personal injury claim, Whether soft tissue injury or serious/catastrophic injury. I spoke to a few attorneys and I found them all to be nice. This is the only one that has been outright rude and dismissive. Think of the words "caveat emptor." once you get into attorney like this, you may have a lot of rude Behavior leveraged against you while you're injured. I can't speak for Mr Wang. He actually looked nice and I would defer to him in all questions to this office. They really need to have another rating on this which has zero stars and a thumbs down emoticon. It was that bad and he managed to do that all and just under 10 minutes. Seek representation elsewhere!
Paul Vames was referred to me by a co-worker, and I am glad I went with him. This is my second case with him both WON, he was so understanding on both cases, and had great communication with me during my cases. He was professional and super helpful, I definitely recommend coming to him or he’s team.
Vames, Wang & Sosa Injury Lawyers are an outstanding firm. Paul Vames is knowledgeable, professional, and truly dedicated to his clients. You can tell they care about the people they work with and go above and beyond. Highly recommend this team!
Mr. Hood did a wonderful job of explaining the process, taking time to listen to my story, and ensuring I was heard. His firm did almost all of the footwork gathering evidence. It was nice to just sit back and be represented, and finally hear that it was not my fault. We won.
I received some great legal advice in a consultation with Rob Ireland. I haven't worked with the rest of the firm, but if they are as knowledgeable and helpful as Rob, I think they would be a good people to work with and have in your corner.
